Takamikurayama is a low mountain with an altitude of 304m located on the border of Kakogawa City and Takasago City, Hyogo Prefecture. Because of its appearance, it has another name, “Harima Fuji,” and since ancient times it has been popular as a mountain of worship where the entire mountain is considered a sacred object. The horseshoe-shaped ridgeline surrounding this mountain is called the “Harima Alps,” and is made up of exposed sand and rocky mountains, sparse trees, and extremely low rocky ridges. There’s nothing blocking your view, so you can enjoy a good view no matter where you walk. Takamiki Shrine is enshrined at the top of the mountain, and from the rocky cliffs you can see the Harima Plain, Awaji Island, and the Akashi Strait.
