■国宝・松本城
松本城(まつもとじょう)は、長野県の中央部に位置する城郭跡で、日本に5つしかない「国宝現存天守」の一つです。5重6階の天守を中心に月見櫓などが複合連結し、優美な姿はどの方角から見ても絵になります。松本城の敷地一帯は国の「史跡」に指定されており、「日本100名城」にも選定されています。
松本城には約300本の桜が植えられており、満開の時期を迎えると、お城を背景に桜吹雪が舞い散る様子が見られ、非常に美しいです。

■松本市城山公園
松本市城山公園(じょうやまこうえん)は、長野県松本市近郊にある城郭跡で、鎌倉から戦国時代まで「犬甘 (いぬかい) 城」があり、現在は公園として整備され、桜名所となっています。
丘陵の上には展望台が設置され、東側には、国宝 松本城をはじめ、松本市街や美ヶ原などの山々を望め、西側には常念岳 ( 日本百名山 ) など北アルプスの山々や奈良井川が望めます。

■高遠城址
高遠城址(たかとおじょうし)は、長野県南部の伊那谷に位置する城郭跡で、「日本三大桜名所」の一つに数えられます。タカトオコヒガンザクラは高遠固有の品種で、やや小粒の花でピンクの色が濃いのが特徴で、春には城址全域が鮮やかな桜色に染まります。

高遠城址からは、仙丈ケ岳 ( 日本百名山 ) など、南アルプスの山々も展望でき、残雪の白い峰とピンクの桜が絶妙な景観を生みます。また西側には中央アルプスの山々も展望できます。高遠城は武田信玄にゆかりのある城郭で、国の「史跡」に指定されており、「日本100名城」にも選定されています。

■高遠湖
高遠湖(たかとおこ)は、高遠ダムの完成によってできた人造湖(ダム湖)で、「ダム湖百選」に選定されています。特に春は「日本三大桜名所」の一つに挙げられる高遠城址公園が、一面のピンク色に覆われた様子を、高遠湖の対岸から望めます。高遠湖の湖畔にもタカトオコヒガンザクラが植えられています。

■勝間薬師堂のしだれ桜
勝間薬師堂(かつまやくしどう)のしだれ桜は、高遠城址を望む小高い丘にある巨桜で、お堂の傍に、樹齢約150年のしだれ桜が2本立ちます。高遠城址公園から南に約1kmほどの場所にある桜で、巨桜と「日本三大桜名所」の共演も見所です。

■高遠しんわの丘ローズガーデン
高遠しんわの丘ローズガーデンは、標高830mの高台にあり、高遠城址や町並み、中央アルプスを望む絶景のバラ園です。4月には、高遠城址と中央アルプスを望むお花見も楽しめます。

■諏訪高島城
高島城(たかしまじょう)は、諏訪湖の湖畔近くに位置する城郭跡で、「続日本100名城」に選定されているほか、「日本三大湖城」の一つに数えられます。元は諏訪湖に突き出た水城で「諏訪の浮城(すわのうきしろ)」と呼ばれましたが、江戸時代に湖の干拓が行われ、湖岸から離れた立地になりました。

明治維新後に天守をはじめほとんどの建造物は破却されましたが、1970年(昭和45年)には、本丸に天守・櫓・門などが復元され、現在は「高島公園」として、諏訪地方随一の桜名所となっています。

■小諸城址懐古園
小諸城址(こもろじょうし)は、長野県東部に位置する城郭跡で、「日本100名城」と「日本さくら名所100選」に選定されています。現在は懐古園(かいこえん)として整備され、懐古園入口の「三の門」など複数の門が現存し、石垣も当時のままよく残っています。桜は馬場跡を中心に約300本ほど植えられていて、「石垣と桜」の風景には、歴史を感じさせられます。

■上田城
上田城(うえだじょう)は、長野県北東部にある城郭跡で、国の「史跡」に指定され「日本100名城」に選定されています。歴史に名高い真田氏の居城として人気があります。お堀を中心に、約700本の桜が植えられており、毎年お花見の季節になると、大勢の人で賑わいます。

■松代城跡
松代城(まつしろじょう)は、長野市のやや南方に位置する城郭跡で、国の「史跡」に指定され、「日本100名城」の一つに数えられます。戦国時代に武田信玄が信濃侵攻のために築城した城で、「海津城(かいづじょう)」と呼ばれ、「川中島の戦い」の舞台の一つとしても、知名度が高い城です。
江戸時代初期に松代城と改名され、真田氏ゆかりの歴史スポットの一つとして、人気が高い城です。春は桜の名所としても知られ、例年4月中旬頃に見頃を迎えます。

■川中島古戦場史跡公園(長野県)
