WHAT YOU NEED TO CAPTURE THE MILKY WAY ✨
This shot was captured on a short one-night backpacking trip near Mt. Hood at the beginning of Milky Way season. It was my first time really using the Slik ECH-630 astro tracker on my CF-733 carbon fiber tripod. I couldn’t believe the detail I was able to achieve. The composite image was captured in the same location on the same night. Sometimes, I think that simple shots are the most effective. I used my 55mm lens on this one to get an intimate view of the Milky Way gliding past Mt. Hood, keeping the shot nice and simple.
