Sawara Japan 🇯🇵 | 4K Walking Tour – A Journey Through Old Edo
Enjoy an immersive walk through Sawara, a beautifully preserved historic town in Chiba Prefecture, known for its traditional streets, canals and atmosphere reminiscent of old Edo.
In this 4K ambient walking tour, we explore the historic district of Sawara, following the small waterways and traditional streets lined with old merchant houses, shops and beautifully preserved buildings.
The area offers a fascinating glimpse into what a Japanese town might have looked like during the Edo period.
Sawara developed as an important commercial center thanks to its location along the Ono River, connecting the region with Edo and allowing merchants to transport rice and other goods.
Today, its historic streets retain much of their traditional character, with wooden buildings, small bridges, local shops and quiet riverside paths.
Away from the modern city, this real-time POV walk captures the peaceful atmosphere of Sawara, from the reflections on the canal to the sounds of the streets, passing bicycles and everyday life in this historic corner of Chiba.
Located only a short journey from Tokyo, Sawara offers a very different experience of Japan — quieter, slower and deeply connected to the country’s traditional architecture and history.
