🇯🇵 Nagoya Walk | Sakae Nightlife — Joshi Daikoji & Ikeda Park | Japan 4K Walking Tour ASMR
A 4K walk through Sakae 4-chome and 5-chome in Nagoya, Japan, at night — about 54 minutes, from dusk to full dark. The sound is the real sound of the street. There is no voice-over and no music; short English captions appear on screen now and then.
Filmed September 12, 2026
Sakae 4-chome and 5-chome hold the district locally called Joshi Daikoji, packed with izakayas, bars, clubs, lounges and karaoke. On a Saturday night you hear languages from all over the world here.
The walk starts on Hisaya-odori at dusk, past LACHIC and Hisaya Park, goes down toward Yaba-cho Station, with the Nagoya Expressway in sight, then turns into the back streets. It reaches Hirokoji-dori and then Ikeda Park — an old entertainment district, a multicultural neighbourhood and a place young people gather, all at once. It finishes back on Hisaya-odori, where the TV Tower comes into view.
A word of advice, which the video itself gives: there are people on these streets who try to talk you into a bar. You don’t have to stop or answer. Keep walking, and go where you had already decided to go.

Where are you watching this from — at home, on a train, in bed? Curious where these walks end up.
Watching from Zurich! Nice to explore Nagoya’s back streets after dark without rushing through them. 👍
