【Video Overview】
At Roppongi Hills Arena, preparations were underway for a Bon Odori festival scheduled to begin later that evening. Alongside the arena, a Suntory Draft Beer Summer Fest beer garden was in full operation. The Mori Garden, adjacent to the arena, is a compact Japanese garden developed on the site formerly occupied as the secondary residence of the Mori clan during the Edo period, featuring a pond that visitors can walk around. Within the Roppongi Hills commercial area, a limited-run beer garden called “”The Premium Malts ROPPONGI SEASIDE”” was also open. At 66 Plaza, the “”66 Doraemon Hiroba”” event was being held, with multiple life-sized Doraemon figures installed throughout the space. The walk also passes “”Maman,”” the large-scale spider sculpture by Louise Bourgeois, which has been installed at Roppongi Hills since 2003.

Continuing along Gaien-higashi-dori, the route enters Hinokicho Park, which was developed on the former site of the Hagi Domain Mori clan’s lower residence. Waterfowl can be seen along the edge of the pond. In the Tokyo Midtown Courtyard, a limited-time installation called “”HIMAWARI-KOMICHI”” was on display, combining artificial sunflowers with translucent veiled panels. The adjacent 21_21 DESIGN SIGHT was hosting the exhibition “”Learning from Hojoki: Small Architecture for Rebuilding Life.””

The walk concludes by passing through the basement floor of Tokyo Midtown and reaching the directly connected Roppongi Station on the Toei Oedo Line.
