This morning, we’re exploring Turkbuku at around 10:00 AM, during one of the most peaceful moments of the day. The sea is calm and crystal clear, the streets are quiet, and colorful bougainvillea surrounds us as this beautiful corner of Bodrum slowly wakes up.

Our walk begins at a small harbor and continues along the waterfront, passing seaside restaurants and cafés with the Aegean Sea always beside us. At this hour, everything feels incredibly calm and relaxed. There are only a few people around, and it almost feels like we have this little piece of paradise to ourselves.

But it won’t stay this way for long.

In just one or two hours, these peaceful waterfront paths, restaurants, and beaches will be filled with people. That contrast is what makes mornings in Turkbuku so special. Before the crowds arrive, you can experience a completely different side of one of Bodrum’s most popular summer destinations.

As we continue walking, we pass beautiful bougainvillea, traditional white houses, waterfront restaurants, small beaches, and the incredibly clear and still waters of the Aegean.

Our journey eventually leaves the waterfront and finishes with a climb up wooden stairs toward the hills of Turkbuku, giving us one last look at this peaceful Mediterranean morning.

For a little while, before everyone arrives, Turkbuku really does feel like paradise.
