2 Week Japan Road Trip in a MINI Car! Fukushima – DAY 2

Welcome to this Tohoku mini campervan road trip! I am on the hunt for beautiful fall colors, relaxing onsens, and delicious regional food. On today’s adventure, we are checking out the shrines and temples of Nikko, Tochigi, then heading north to the thatched village, Ouchi-juku, in Fukushima.

Wondering what it’s like to travel and live in a little Japanese camper car? Buckle up and let’s go!

  1. No rain! The rice, steak and veggies made me hungry. Fish stinky sleeping bags and onion breaths…(keeps the tourists away) I am sure that bath was delightful. Another great adventure from the world traveler…in the states that mini would be called a matchbox.

  2. Oh wow, most of the camping spots you showed seem so empty! Is it because of the time of year, or is camping just not very popular?

  3. We rented a Mini Wink camper through Japan Campers last summer and drove Narita to Nikko and then south all the way to Nagasaki and then back. We loved it so much that this summer we are doing it again but traveling north. I'm loving your videos. We do videos too. It is fun to see your experience. Looking forward to watching all your videos.
