Hidden Sacred River Trail(11)💧Oh my, the road is closed

We are thoroughly enjoying the nature of Yorii Town, Saitama Prefecture.
Oh my, the road is closed.
I guess we’ll take this path instead.
It’s a real summer sky.
Resurrection lilies are in bloom.
I wonder if this is a spot for collecting spring water?

Only 90 minutes by train from Ikebukuro, Tokyo! 🌿
This video takes you on a day-trip hike through Yorii Town, Saitama—a beautiful, nostalgic countryside hidden gem that most tourists miss.

Put on your headphones to experience high-quality visuals combined with immersive, professional field recordings (ASMR) of Japan’s rural nature. 🎧
Feel as if you are walking through the crisp mountain air and serene riverscapes.

Perfect for travelers seeking an off-the-beaten-path experience in Japan. This trail features breathtaking scenery from the “Kaze no Michi” (Path of the Wind) along the pure, crystal-clear Fuuppu River (one of Japan’s Top 100 Waters), mystical Shinto shrines with unique history (like a rare shrine guarded by frogs instead of dogs!), a massive concrete dam, and the ruins of a 15th-century Samurai castle (Hachigata Castle).

*Important Hiking Tip for “Kaze no Michi”:
During summer, tiny insects (Mematoi flies) gather near the river. Standard DEET bug sprays do not work well against them—be sure to bring “Hakka-yu” (Japanese Peppermint Oil) for your protection!
