There is a guy named Theo WAF who recommends studying kanji for 4 hours a day – he knows at least 2500 characters. I bought a book on it and I realize that many are too busy. I'd rather be there than here in Philly.
Decided to begin from the beginning .. curious how you have lived in Japan for 10+ years (30?) and "don't think you can read the menu". Please explain, if you will. Respectfully..
Hey brother!! I've lived in Himeji for a year and a half now, so if you find yourself back to this wonderful city, let me know and I can show you the best places!
I need to visit. My father was an American POW at the Japanese internment camp at Himeji during WWII. He was tortured, starved, beaten, debased, humiliated, forced to work as slave labor & suffered numerous untreated diseases like malaria. Japan has tried to hide this dark history. Did you see any evidence (museums, tours, monuments, literature) of this?

Sub’s for support of your channel. Plus I like your content!
I have to say, I love small areas of Japan far more than the tourist areas. Was in Neyagawa-shi. And loved it!
