Hainan Coral Diving, Villages, Food, and Rainforest | Fun Guide to China
Host Tianran He continues his fun guide to Hainan with scuba diving and coral restoration at Wuzhizhou Island, before heading above the waves for a sailboat tour and yacht shoot in Sanya. In Dongfang, he watches a local “Village NBA” basketball match and decides to visit the teams’ hometowns. At Lemei Village, Tianran tries betel nut and joins a volleyball game, before heading to Baicha Village to see its traditional boat-shaped houses. After trying Dongfang’s roast suckling pig, he explores a contemporary art exhibition, then visits a floating restaurant of the Dan fisherfolk to try their seafood soup and porcupine fish congee. The journey continues with two La’aomen harvest banquets celebrating Shanlan rice, followed by a ranger patrol through Wuzhishan rainforest. The episode ends with retro 1980s-style nightlife and dancing, as Tianran reflects on Hainan’s infectious love of life.
