Kyoto in 2 Days 🇯🇵 From Hidden Alleys to Endless Torii Gates
What does it feel like to explore Kyoto’s ancient streets, peaceful shrines and thousands of vermilion torii gates?
This two-day Kyoto journey begins in the atmospheric Pontocho Alley before continuing along the Kamo River and across Shijo Bridge. From there, I explore the traditional streets of Gion and Hanamikoji before visiting the beautiful Yasaka Shrine in the evening.
After checking in at RIHGA Royal Hotel Kyoto and enjoying breakfast the next morning, I head to Fushimi Inari Taisha to walk beneath the famous Senbon Torii gates. The journey ends at Kiyomizu-dera, where historic wooden halls, mountain views and the lively Kiyomizu-zaka shopping street reveal another side of Kyoto.
