Tokyo Night Wandering – Ginza, Yurakucho, Shimbashi Backstreets

Took a stroll after work in downtown Tokyo, from Shimbachi, through Ginza & Yurakucho, all the way to Tokyo station. The night started out with light rain, which left some nice reflections on the ground of the neon lights. Wandered through some of the popular sidestreets and alleyways where there are some awesome izakaya drinking and food spots that are famous as after work spots. If you ever find yourself in Tokyo on a weeknight, looking for a place to have dinner, would definitely recommend checking out one of these small alley spots for an authentic night out.

    Since you've done smartphone walks before, a video with the Vivo X300 Ultra would be cool. Maybe you could borrow one somewhere. It would be interesting to see how the smartphone, by far the best camera currently available, performs in Tokyo: the ultimate challenge for all cameras. Both during the day and especially at night. 😁

    The city lights look even more magical during a rainy night walk. The reflections on the wet streets create such a beautiful atmosphere.
    From a videographer's perspective, it's an incredibly stunning scene to capture.

    4:40 Homeless guy or just a long-haired bearded guy like me? I've been to Tokyo a half dozen times and only once did I see a homeless. Seems very rare in Japan.

    Going back in October this year..3rd year in a row..it never gets boring walking around at night. Between the lights, the ambience, the people..always something to see, do, eat and drink. I love it. By the time you know it its 4am lol
