梅嶺，即大庾嶺，是中國五嶺之一，位於江西省大余縣與廣東省南雄市交界處。其名稱相傳源於秦漢時期駐兵於此的越人首領梅鋗。梅嶺上的梅關古道是全國保存最完整的古驛道，始建於秦，唐開元四年（716年）由名相張九齡主持擴建，成為連接長江與珠江水系的陸路交通咽喉。關樓地處兩省分界，北門額刻“南粵雄關”，南門額刻“嶺南第一關”。此處不僅是古代南北貿易與人口遷徙的要道，近代更留有陳毅元帥在此領導游擊戰爭時所寫的《梅嶺三章》詩碑。梅嶺與位於南昌灣里區的梅嶺風景區是兩個完全不同的地方。–

三杯雞發源於江西省，相傳與南宋民族英雄文天祥有關。一位江西老婆婆得知文天祥將被殺，帶了雞和酒到獄中探望。因烹調時不放湯水，僅用米酒一杯、豬油或茶油一杯、醬油一杯，故得名“三杯雞”。客家人將做法帶至台灣後，以台灣米酒、黑麻油替代，並加入九層塔（羅勒）進行改良，形成獨特的台灣風味。

Meiling, also known as Dayu Ridge, is one of the Five Ridges of China. It is located on the border between Dayu County in Jiangxi Province and Nanziong City in Guangdong Province. Its name is traditionally derived from Mei Juan, a leader of the Yue people who garrisoned the area during the Qin and Han dynasties. The Meiguan Ancient Road on Meiling is the best-preserved ancient post road in China. First built in the Qin Dynasty, it was expanded in 716 AD under the Tang Dynasty chancellor Zhang Jiuling, becoming a vital land route connecting the Yangtze and Pearl River systems. The pass gate sits exactly on the provincial border, with the north side inscribed “Southern Yue’s Majestic Pass” and the south side “The Number One Pass South of the Five Ridges”. This site was not only a crucial artery for ancient trade and migration, but also features the famous “Three Chapters of Meiling” poems written by Marshal Chen Yi during his guerrilla warfare days in the area. This Meiling is completely different from the Meiling Scenic Area located in Wanli District, Nanchang.

The city covers an area of 7,195 square kilometers and administers 3 counties, 6 districts, and 3 national-level development zones. Nanchang is a National Historical and Cultural City with a history of over 2,200 years .

Sanbeiji (Three-Cup Chicken) originated in Jiangxi Province and is said to be associated with the Southern Song Dynasty national hero Wen Tianxiang. An elderly woman from Jiangxi, upon learning that Wen Tianxiang was about to be executed, brought a chicken and wine to visit him in prison. The dish gets its name from being cooked without adding water, using only one cup each of rice wine, lard or tea oil, and soy sauce. When Hakka people brought the recipe to Taiwan, they adapted it by using Taiwanese rice wine and black sesame oil, and adding basil (nine-story tower), creating a distinctive Taiwanese flavor.
