Unexpected Food Feast on China-Myanmar Border
Hello everyone, I’m Alin 🤗
This episode of my food tour takes me to Ruili, a small town on the China-Myanmar border in Yunnan Province.
The two countries are separated by only a few meters at their closest point; Myanmar is right across the fence!
At dawn, the border gates open, and people from both countries cross the border to work. Many Burmese come to China to buy goods, work, and do business.
This border town is also home to ethnic minorities such as the Dai and Jingpo. The locals are Buddhist, and the temples are always bustling with worshippers.
Ruili’s cuisine is as special as its location – a melting pot of culinary traditions from multiple ethnic groups!
Now, follow Alin’s lens into the local market and experience the authentic life and delicious flavors of the China-Myanmar border region!

It was very interesting and familiar because it was very similar to a traditional market in Vietnam.
