I’m only 2 minutes into this, you’d think I’d now be saying something stupid. I’m not, though some troll will most likely have a go at me, go right ahead. Won’t bother me, I might have a silent cry……. Naw I’m soon going to be 64, I’ve seen things, had things bad happen to me, I’m terminally ill. So I couldn’t care less what the idiots say.
That said, just the preview part at the start relaxed me, what I’ve seen so far is beautiful. Your walking down the street to get there is fascinating. I’ve never been outside the US and at this point I’ll never get outside my small town, beautiful itself if you like the high desert. I’m very close to the great .national parks .in southern Utah. Even the city of this Japanese city has me mesmerized. So pretty and clean. Thank you for sharing this, that said, I’m going to sit back with my coffee ice cream and enjoy this!

I think my favourite Japanese thing in this video are the mini chabudai tables attached to many of the benches along the entire route.
I love the look and feel of those stone paths over water. This is something that would most likely be banned in most of North America because of our stringent construction regulations.
Isn't wonderful how a homogeneous society thrives?!

3:30 There used to be a statue of a mother carrying a child in her right arm and her left hand raised above her head, with a 'Lions International' plaque on the plinth, probably a war or peace memorial. It can be seen on the most recent (Jun 2025) Google Street View image of this location. I wonder if it still exists and has been relocated, or gone permanently.
7:18 – 7:50 There is a set of very peculiar designed seating benches along this stretch. It looks to me like these used to have been full benches where a group could sit next to eachother, but later have been heavily modified to deter homeless people from sleeping on them.

The full display of the pride, respectful culture of Japanese. What a difference in my neighborhood – San Francisco , California. Trashes, homeless, graffities on buildings, broken glasses on bus stops…. what a shame…

三島が見つかってしまったか。Hidden gemだったのに。
私は短期間だけ静岡県に住んだことがあって、せっかくのチャンスだからとあちこちを車で巡り歩きました。
そうしてあちこちで古代からの湧水が枯れてしまったり、川の水量が激減したり、聖地とされた滝の流れが途絶えてしまったり、という現場を見ました。
それは静岡県を貫通する東名高速道路、東海道新幹線、さまざまな工場の建設などによって水源が断たれてしまったからと聞きました。
三島も訪れましたが有名な楽寿館（旧小松宮彰仁親王別邸）の庭園の水はすっかり干上がってました。
解説の方の話ではたまに水が上がってくるそうですね。
でもこの庭園が作られたときにはこんな荒涼とした石ばかりの庭として作ったわけじゃないはず。
きっと豊かに湧き出す水が美しい庭だったんでしょう。
それがこんなことになってしまうなんて。
こんなことを続けていていいんでしょうか。

It is so nice that there is a stream running thru the city. How lovely and alive the area is. No trash, not over crowded, not exceptionally noisy. Looks like a most serene place to walk and just be. Looks like you enjoyed your walk. I would be inclined to want to walk this path. Japan is such a special place.
10年前、三島の日本大学に交換留学していた韓国人学生です。
交換留学だったので1学期しかいませんでしたが、三島で過ごした時間が本当に大好きで、今でも時々こういう動画を見て懐かしい気持ちになります。

澄んだ水や、そこで育っていた子ガモたち、三島大社、散歩していた街並みまで映っていて、本当に懐かしくなりました。
交換留学の友人たちとよく行っていたはま寿司もあって、思わず嬉しくなりました。
日本の友達にもたくさん助けてもらって、毎日が本当に楽しくて、今でも大切な思い出です。
夏になると、羽化したばかりのセミや、小川のほたるも見ることができます。
三島は本当に美しい街です。ぜひ一度訪れてみてください。
昨年、刀剣乱舞のコラボイベントで初めて訪れました。
佐野美術館や三嶋大社などにも訪れて、道中の心地いい水の流れに癒されました。当時冬でしたがとても居心地がよく、寒さもあまり感じませんでした。
またいつか行けたらいいなと思っています。
Beautiful video that captures the vibrant colors and feel of Mishima. MIshima is dotted with natural springs that you can drink from without hesitation. The water originates from Mt. Fuji and makes it's way down to various locations in Shizuoka Prefecture. It is incredibly cold and sweet and doesn't taste anything like bottled water. The difference is like comparing canned or bottled coffee to freshly brewed.

Japan is thousand times if not million times more beautiful than ugly concrete buildings china everywhere eventually all becomes ghost towns wasting precious resources and jobless sleeping in shopping centers and streets under bridges
