This time we’re heading deep into the lush mountains of Nakhon Si Thammarat, where quiet villages, crystal-clear rivers, hidden waterfalls and some of the friendliest locals make for an unforgettable few days.
Our adventure begins with an incredible local breakfast of Khanom Jeen before checking into the peaceful village of Kiriwong. We spend the afternoon wandering its quiet streets, soaking up local life and enjoying one of Thailand’s most beautiful mountain communities.
The next morning we hike through the jungle to a stunning waterfall before continuing deeper into the countryside. We end the trip staying in a beautiful homestay surrounded by durian trees, before finishing with an unforgettable bamboo rafting experience down one of Southern Thailand’s pristine rivers.

I was there last year the nature was as expected. Anyhow the local straight pipe motorbikes and piles of garbage here and there were quite disappointing, hope they were managed.

Beautiful episode Paddy. I know Kiriwong and the Klai river area around Krung Ching very well. Me and my friends love to explore that area for more than a decade: Kayaking, trail running, mountainbike, off road with our CRF’s 300. For many years we kayak on the part you showed, only we always did 30 Km a day from the source of the river till the river ends up in the sea at Klai village. We stopped kayaking 2 years ago, after 3 of us went kayaking after the rain season, and we nearly killed ourselves, capsized, stuck in eddies, smashed against the rocks in that specific canyon you showed. The river was brutal, we were in shock and never did it again. We have our own kayaks, but not used to the white water we witnessed on that occasion. We all live in Tha Sala. Nakhon Si Thammarat is awesome! 💪 Did you visit Krung Ching waterfall? (very close to the hot spring location) your videos are always so much fun to watch, keep up the good work! 💪

maybe youve done this before, but –what should I pack for clothes, shoes. Im not going to tourist party/night life areas, so what would be the essential items. I bought some Ketl UV 30SPF long sleeve shirts, shorts, but I want to travel light.Suggestions??
Nakhon Si Thammarat – My top province to go to. It has so much to explore. Great choice of accommodations and food for a great price. If anyone wants to be somewhere away from tourists this is the province to be 👍🏻 great video as always Paddy.
