This time, we visited Ishimaru Pottery in Hasami, Nagasaki, to learn about the process of making Hasami ware.
We had the opportunity to see each step of production and were especially impressed by the hand-painted decoration. Watching the artisans carefully paint each piece by hand was truly fascinating, and the finished work was beautiful.
We also tried pottery painting ourselves, which gave us a deeper appreciation for the skill and craftsmanship behind each piece.
