一見すると怪しげな外観で、SNSで話題の「ドリームコア」の世界に迷い込んだかのような錯覚に陥りますが、一歩足を踏み入れると……そこには驚くほどアットホームで温かい、ドライバーたちの楽園が広がっていました。
創業47年目、24時間365日営業というスタイルからも、日本の物流を夜通し支えるトラック運転手さんたちへの店主の深い愛情とリスペクトが伝わってきます。
動画前半では、ホームセンターでは絶対お目にかかれない大迫力のデコトラ・トラック用品がずらりと並ぶ圧巻の店内をご紹介。
後半では、平成初期にタイムスリップしたかのようなレトロパチンコ＆ゲームコーナーへ。

山口県民ならば、知らない人が居ない位に有名なモノハウスですね。
僕も良く行ってます。
昔は、手打ちパチンコ台がありましたが現在は故障中で店内左奥に置かれてます。
ここでの食事で美味しいのが、高菜めしです。（因みに現在も食堂は営業されてますよ。）
この店では、パチスロのメインパネル（恐怖新聞等のレアなパネルあり）を高値で販売されてる。

I want to visit that store so badly but I can't travel that far south. Why are all the best restaurants, islands, shops, and views far away 😢. I know I would spend hours and days there. Showa era was my time.

What a unique and interesting place, thank you very much for sharing it with us. The fact which is most fascinating to me, is that this shop has been open since 47 years, 365 days per year, 24 hours a day. So in 47 years, it has never been closed for a minute. Amazing !
P.S. I wonder why all the walls and the ceiling is completely covered in tin foil ?

drive in makes sense as a name for places like these, but where i am from in the u.s., "drive in" usually means a movie theater or a diner type place. this i would use a term more like "truck stop" for, as in, a highway-side shop with lots of unique wares, showers, sometimes a lounge and/or restaurant. although, this term also carries a bit of a concept of scuzziness… but what an amazing drive in truck stop nontheless. seems like a really nice vibe for a break from driving.
as i am unfortunately Japanese-illiterate, i really wish i could have read more of the stickers and signs besides the universal language command, "enjoy coca cola." lol

Das Ding ist ein Irrenhaus! Die permanente Beschallung mit Geräuschen und Musik, die Decke aus Alufolie und das Lichtgeblinker. Also entweder ist man bekloppt und geht deswegen freiwillig dort rein oder man gerät aus Versehen dort rein u d ist dann reif frdie Klapsmühle.

I dont know where you find these places, but I'm glad they're getting documented before they all go away! (Maybe this would be a great setting for a horror movie?)

広島に行くときによく寄りましたね。懐かしい。学生だった当時、ここでピンクの小型マッサージ器を獲得して彼女にプレゼントしていた友人たちも今では皆立派なお父さんになりました。お世話になりました。

A place of rest for truck drivers or a place for overstimulation of truck drivers? Hahaha! Seriously. Looking at and hearing what that place sounds like, it looks like the whole place is saying, "WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!! WAKE UP!!!" You're surrounded by millions of colorful products, flashing lights, crazy shiny, foil ceiling, and there are like 20 different loudly playing, fast paced, tunes playing at the same time!
This is what every big truck stop in America in the 90s was like.

Makes me sad how abandoned Japan is. These are such incredible relics. It sucks that the Japanese people and government don't care about the country and want it to die instead of live and grow.
