Garachico, Tenerife 🌋 The Volcano Won… But This Town Refused to Die
Join me on a relaxing walking tour through Garachico, one of the most fascinating and historic towns in Tenerife, Canary Islands. Once the island’s most important port, Garachico was dramatically transformed by the volcanic eruption of 1706, when lava flows destroyed much of the harbor and permanently changed the coastline.
In this video, we walk through the quiet streets of the old town, admire traditional Canarian architecture, discover hidden viewpoints overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, visit historic landmarks, and explore the spectacular volcanic coastline that makes Garachico one of Tenerife’s most unique destinations.
You’ll see colorful houses, narrow cobbled streets, stunning ocean views, the famous Roque de Garachico, centuries-old churches, remnants of the historic harbor, and the incredible natural lava pools of El Caletón.
If you’re planning a trip to Tenerife, interested in Canary Islands history, or simply enjoy immersive walking tours, this video offers a detailed look at one of Spain’s most beautiful coastal towns.
