Jiuma Huashan, also known as Nine Horses Fresco Hill, is one of the most iconic natural landmarks along the Li River. The cliff face is famous for patterns that are said to resemble nine horses, forming a natural “painting” on the mountain wall. This section of the Li River is also close to Xingping, one of the most classic places to experience Guilin’s karst scenery, bamboo raft culture, riverside villages, and the landscape often associated with traditional Chinese ink paintings.
