After easily getting my arrival stamp in Mozambique, in Africa, as I exit the border area, I immediately get swarmed by an army of wannabe journalists who film me and bombard me with questions. I donโ€™t know it yet, but the videos they filmed will have a great impact on my journey across Mozambique. The people are immediately extremely talkative and also a bit on the harassing side regarding their will to constantly interview me. Namaacha is a surprising town with quite a few beautiful colonial buildings. After struggling a bit to find a place to stay, I go to visit the town and buy a sim card. The immediate change of atmosphere is really surprising. By crossing a line on a map, I went straight to another planet compared to Swaziland (eSwatini). Namaacha is very friendly, everyone talks to me.

    Many years ago, after the war in Mozambique, my dad and a few mates went on a fishing trip.Whilst driving slowly on a windy sand track, a chap jumps out the bush and stops them…he wanted to swap his AK47 for a few loaves of bread and tinned food!๐Ÿ˜ขThey packed him a nice food parcel, couple of cokes and packs cigarettes …and sent him on his way home…with his rifle!
    The purple trees are exotic Jacaranda trees, from south America.

    Interesting new country but for some reason idk I might be wrong I think. South Africa is more beautiful and well maintain. I love the west coast. I have seen your videos and I can say for sure South Africa is number 1 followed by Namibia(it's so empty and it gives me courage the cowardly dog vibes) one day I'll visit those two countries. It will not be bad to even buy a vacation home in the small town along the coast.

    It's sad that YouTube promotes negative titles such as 'gone wrong' over positive titles like 'gone right', because this first impression obviously went really well. As a white Capetonian I have visited Mozambique three times and each time was better than the time before. Love Moz!
