  1. Thank you so much for your post!
Otafuku sauce from Hiroshima was developed based on Worcestershire sauce to better suit Okonomiyaki(お好み焼き).
    When I was a university student, I went to Hiroshima & Miyajima⛩🦌

  2. The menu at Ron restaurant, a lot of dishes contained pork. Is that pork meat you would normally put in a stew, etc or bacon? I know bacon comes from pigs, but it is cured, so there is difference between pork meat for a cooked meal versus bacon.

Also, those dishes look like a lot of food for one person. Is it as much food as it looks like?

  3. Loved my time in Hiroshima. Found the peace park very emotional. The people in the city are so friendly too. Will always remember waiting for a tram and having a lovely conversation with an elderly Japanese gentleman who spoke brilliant English. Made my day that did,

  4. Hello jay and karolina! I’ve been to Hiroshima 15 years ago because my youngest brother works in a oyster farm in miyajima but we want to go back in Hiroshima because some of the places you’ve been we haven’t seen yet. I’m manifesting next year. Thank you for this video. By the way, what’s the name of your hotel in Hiroshima? Always stay safe and stay healthy. Godbless!

  5. Hiroshima is absolutely a lovely and amazing to visit. Especially historical Japanese city.
If you can recall what happened during the events WW2.
Thats mind blowing how much Hiroshima had changed 6:48 :

Advanced bento 5:02. Nver see that before 🤯

  6. Great Vlog as always Jay and Karolina. Emotional in many ways
The transport always seems so clean, efficient and well run. Your seats looked very comfortable. The Bento boxes are so good, with the self heating from pulling a “string” I don’t know of anything like it here in the UK, but maybe I’m wrong?
The history of Hiroshimas trams is amazing.
What a great hotel room with a wonderful view, a very reasonable in price too.
The dining experience was so good with the lovely food cooked in front of you and looked so delicious with all the other food being cooked around.
The atomic bomb history and sights are so emotional,so hard to get your head around it all.
Lovely view of Hiroshima from Orizuru Tower.
The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum must have been a thought provoking and tear jerking experience, Your evening photo shots were also thought provoking and captured beautifully the emotion within Hiroshima
So good Hiroshima has so much promoting hope and peace
Your island trip to Miyajima looked so good. The views from the ferry of the Tori Gate were good.
Glad the wild dears didn’t eat your tickets 🤣
Great views going up on the Miyajima ropeway and wonderful views from the top.
The main shopping centre on Miyajima certainly had plenty of food choices. The oysters you had looked really big, so glad you enjoyed them.
Jay so many of the best foods are unhealthy 😂 such a shame
The Daishoin Temple looked steeped in history and very peaceful
Overall I really do admire and like the Japanese culture
Thank you Jay and Karolina once again for another quality educational and entertaining vlog Take care Stay safe

  7. i am enjoying your content….i am in Hiroshima next week filming my 1st travel blogs….any last minute tips for me?

  8. Hiroshima was one of my favorite day trips when I went to Japan last Autumn. After being in some very busy cities, Hiroshima was so calm and peaceful even with a lot of people. The museum hit me very hard, so hard that I had to leave before the end. I just had to get outside and breathe the fresh air. Normally I try to see a lot in every city but this time I threw out my list and just wandered the memorial areas soaking in the atmosphere. By the way, I bought my museum ticket on Klook and that saved me a lot of time bypassing the huge lines. Thanks for the videos. Hugs from Canada

  9. 私は滋賀県大津市に住んでいます。
    ぜひ、滋賀県にも遊びに来て下さい。
    広島と同じくらいの田舎で、それほど混雑していません。
    京都ととても近いです。

  10. Great informative video guys. May I ask which month this trip was taken please, the weather looks great!

  11. We must have just missed you guys! We just left Hiroshima for Kyoto then home to the USA. Before we left for Japan a month ago we watched all of your videos and quite honestly they made us super prepared for our trip. So thankful to you both for all the information and helpful advice for making our trip so memorable. It literally took all the stress out of first timers to Japan. Best advice to our friends heading over is to plan your day adventures early in the morning, take a break late afternoon to avoid the tour buses, then head out for dinner and nightlife. No bad days in Japan…thanks to you guys!

  12. We have been to Hiroshima. The memorial is sobering. This is the perfect guide guys. We can't say enough how we love these guides. Well done !. 👍👍 On a scale from 1-to 10 . It's a 10
Love you guys ❤❤ Hope you're doing ok. from Jim and Harriet Richmond, VA.

  13. The atomic dome was left standing not because of the steel but the bomb exploded about 1/2 mile away from the dome.

  14. The cranes were made by a young girl named Sasaki who was told that if she made enough folded origami cranes, she would live beyond her malady from the atomic radiation. There is a specific memorial statue devoted to her.

  15. I did the same journey 2 weeks ago from Shinjuku at golden week lol . The Hiroshima peace park stirred so many emotions , it was a time for quite contemplation . Miyajima was stunning and watching a traditional wedding was emotional too . Stunning views and a cold drink over looking the bay served by a lovely elderly lady .. I used some of your tips before i came from the UK . My E-sim worked , but o2 blocked me from accessing my emails and making text .Next time i will inform them before i go again . great content

  16. In the 1960 to 70, streetcars were discontinued in cities throughout Japan. And instead, the subway was built.

And the streetcars that had served their purpose in various cities came to Hiroshima. From Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and, for friendship, Hannover, Germany. Because of that, in Hiroshima streetcars, some old cars and cars with the latest functions coexist even now.

    I love Hiroshima, too.
If you have a chance, please visit Miyajima during the autumn leaves season next time. That's a spectacular view.

  20. Hey Jay and Carolina , I have been to Japan. But now I’m looking forward to travel to Hiroshima after watching your video. Thanks for the tips. Nice video 👏

  21. 宮島の花火大会も凄く綺麗でオススメです。
    タイミングが合えばぜひ一度行ってみてください🎆
