Love bakwell i dont live far from there xxxxx
Hi peeps , great vlog what a lovely place ❤ never been might have to give it a visit one day . Lovely walkabout with lovely friends xx
i live on the estate above the town and though i love my town i avoid it , because its too busy of people , its from easter to end middle of dec with events on and the bakewell pudding is not to alls liking , the bakewell cherry tarts okay , this place is expensive to live in, and to buy a house in ,the locals have to pay tourist prices fish and chips for two is close on £30 now , a drink in pubs and a meal can be above that , parking is dire for locals to do a shop ,most go aldi for food ,this place has a bit of history with museum and church , the river is an attraction but other than that its just a town like most others across the country , there was a woman murdered in a local cementary near me decades ago and a local got arrested charged and jailed that worked in the cementary but he did not do the murder , he was released a few years ago , but the real killer has never been found ,though a local journalist came close , but he was warned off with death threats ect and he moved out the area ,and stopped looking into to it ive been in the cemetary once to pay respects to a friend buried there, and i found it uncomfortable, though its a nice peaceful place to be buried ,, theres loads of vlogs on you tube about the town, and its past the sad part is the younger generations cannot afford to buy a house in their town ,they might get lucky to rent from the council , some of the houses have been taken up has holiday lets too ,but young in most cases stay with parents or move away even surrounding villages are being taken over by visitors now, spoiling the lives of those who moved in them to get away from crowds and rat race for their mental health , ,the media has pushed tourism big time , but due to petrol and desiel it might have a big issue , if none available or cost for visitors to come that in turn will affect business along with reeves taxes ,and food prices going up more we are in truth heading for a fall , but enjoy your stay
Looks lovely
Every time I go to bakewell and we go to eat I have homity pie it's lovely x
I use to install smart meters all over that area. Some places you'd never go unless you lived there. Beautiful
