Osaka Morning Walk | Tenjinbashisuji to Yodogawa River | Cloudy to Rainy | 4K HDR
A peaceful morning walk through Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai —
Japan’s longest covered shopping street — and onward to the Yodogawa River.
No talking. No faces. Just the sounds of the city and the rain.
Starting from the south end of the arcade in early morning quiet,
walking north through 2.6 km of covered street that stretches
from 1-chome to 6-chome — six districts of small shops, restaurants,
and the everyday rhythm of Osaka.
Beyond the arcade, the open streets of Tenjin 7-chome appeared
just as the rain began to fall. The walk continued through the open city,
across the Nagara area, over the Nagara Bridge, and ended at
Yodogawa Riverside Park where the wide river met a soft rainy sky.

— ABOUT TENJINBASHISUJI SHOTENGAI —
Tenjinbashisuji Shotengai is the longest covered shopping street in Japan,
running about 2.6 kilometers from north to south through central Osaka.
The arcade dates back to the Edo period as a path to Osaka Tenmangu Shrine,
and today it holds over 600 shops — from old confectioners and rice sellers
to modern cafés, izakaya, and clothing stores.
Walking the full length is a slow journey through layers of Osaka’s daily life.
A quiet rainy morning along Osaka’s longest street.
