  1. Yes! We saw Mount Fuji last June and it was spectacular. There is something spiritual about standing in her presence.

  2. My late husband went on a tour in Japan. Unfortunately, there were clouds and he couldn't see "her". The tour guide told them that she is shy and is not often able to be seen. Glad that you got a good view!

  3. Saw Fuji in November 2024. The other local dish I'd highlight is Hoto, a different kind of flat noodles. It's a very Yamanashi thing. I ended up taking the slow train in with the restaurant and Pagoda experiences, was satisfied, but yea the crowds can be bad depending on season. Theme Park crowds just get annoying sadly.

  4. What month did you go? I was there a few years ago in April but it was clouded and raining. I’m planning to go again at the end of Oct, do you think the weather will be okayed, and leaves turn yellow yet?

  5. Thank you for sharing and for helping me tick another bucket list box (though a vicarious tick)!

  6. The classic Fujiyoshida framing never gets old. If you ever head south after Kanto, Kyushu’s volcanoes feel totally different but still that same “whoa, nature is big” feeling.
