Located in Noshiro City, Akita Prefecture, this building is a nationally registered tangible cultural property and is representative of the “wood city of Noshiro,” made with abundant use of natural Akita cedar. The highlight is the “Full Moon Room,” with its 9.1-meter-long ceiling made from a single plank. The 80th Honinbo Tournament was held here in May 2025.
