   Thank you for watching and subscribing to our channel☺I’d been wanting to stay at this ryokan for a long time. You don’t see many big ryokans like this anymore—the kind that still feel like they’re from when Japan’s economy was booming. That nostalgic atmosphere was honestly half the fun.

    I really like the lobby's look; like a hybrid of 1990s contemporary postmodernism and Edo period styling. Definitely gives off "liminal space" vibes.
    Reminds me a lot of the senior care facility my mother used to work at, which was built around the same time as Hojoen. Unfortunately that facility was extensivley remodeled and they stripped away it's charm.
    At least we still have Hojoen!

    Out of curiosity: You said the atrium reminded you and others of the Infinity Castle from Demon Slayer. Has the Ryokan ever gotten any fans of the series to come there? Either for an actual stay or just for a photo op?

    The bay with numerous islands is beautiful and the view from the Ryokan is incredible, definitely one of the best view on this channel. That atrium is also gorgeous I love when establishments do something like that. One night is really not enough

    It is an absolutely gorgeous location and a great hotel, but I would never know it was themed after Demon Slayer’s Infinity Castle if you had not told me.

    But a question how do you handle prepsre for thd question of a tsunami in this region? Is there a high risk and what should you do in such a location? I am not sure what to think about this point tbh😅 Would be interesting to hear your poknt of view on this 🙂
