In Thailandia, tra le foreste e i silenzi della natura, esiste ancora un legame raro: quello tra i Mahout e i loro elefanti. Un rapporto antico, fragile e profondamente umano.
In questo viaggio abbiamo incontrato Saglat, uno degli ultimi giovani Mahout, cresciuto accanto al suo elefante Dodo.
Abbiamo vissuto con loro, osservato i gesti quotidiani, ascoltato le storie, e cercato di capire cosa significhi davvero convivere con un essere selvaggio… senza volerlo domare.
In un mondo dove il turismo cerca intrattenimento e profitto, c’è chi sceglie la via più difficile: il rispetto, la pazienza, la libertà.
Questo non è un documentario sugli elefanti. È un viaggio nel modo in cui scegliamo di stare al mondo.

    Sweet Giuseppe, i just found your channel…C'EST MERVEILLEUX….i just watched and liked the tribe that will save the world wow the last mongolian chaman wow and this video…i read so many comments…so touching. I too travelled a lot in my youth and to me being happy is being in nature and my love of animals, also what makes me happy is helping and healing people and animals that come on my path and i also get much joy from my creativity, i paint, sculpt and write songs. Please never change, don't sell out for any amount, money won't make you happy, but your freedom of creation is sacred. I love what you do brother, please continue spreading this joy because its contagious. Love from your sister from another mother and country

    Faccio il tecnico turistico e sono molto grata che nella mia scuoa si promuovi il turismo sotenibile, ogni vacanza che progettiamo per esempio deve essere sostenibile. Spero che l'industria turistica cambi per non alimentare più il turismo di massa.

    ปัจจุบัน ช้างงานถูกใช้เพื่อการ ท่องเที่ยว เพื่อหาเงินมาเลี้ยงพวกมันในฐานะที่ช้างงานไม่สามารถใช้ชีวิตอยู่ในธรรมชาติได้เท่าช้างป่าหรือสัตว์ป่าทั่วไปที่ควรเป็น
    ซึ่งมันดีกว่า ในเมื่อก่อนที่ใช้ลากไม้ และ การรบเพื่อประเทศ อยากขอบคุณช้างเหล่านี้ที่ทำให้เรามีวันนี้ได้เพราะพวกมัน และวันนี้รวมทั้งในอนาคตเราควรตอบแทนพวกมันบ้าง

    I think it’s wrong to ride a elephant just because they are large. I don’t blame elephants for retaliate to mistreatments. Elephants should be respected and observe in distance. If you’re lucky enough to gain their trust, you should treasure it.
