Never left the 19th century, tour of Braidwood, a heritage town in New South Wales, Australia
Braidwood is a unique town in New South Wales, Australia. It has retained it’s 19th century street scape and architecture. Passionate residents campaigned to have it added to the NSW State Heritage Register in 2006 to preserve it for generations to come.
About half way between Canberra and Batemans Bay it is a great day trip from the nation’s capital city or a useful stop enroute to the coast.
In this tour we’ll take a look at the main street of town as well as the residential streets. Along the way I will provide text based commentary on the history and sights of the town.
