I was just there two and a half weeks ago. That place is crazy huge! But, their prices are great and they basically have everything! Another place to go that basically has everything is Mega Don Quijote! Honorable mention goes to Bic Camera!
Akiba is one of the largest Yodobashis in Japan, but if you’re in Yokohama, go to ‘Edion’ (a Bic Camera / Yodobashi type denki-ya) in Nishi-Yokohama(station), best video game section and largest I’ve personally been to. There’s also a game competition arena and TCG tourney arena as well.
I’m gadget-geek Japanese living in Tokyo, and visiting Yodobashi Akiba almost every weekend. Akihabara is known as an electric town, but for most people, Yodobashi is just sufficient and there is no need to visit the other side of the town.
These days you can try out Switch2 here, so I let my kid play. There is almost everything you can ever imagine here. Just come and see!
