This video shows a 26 minute late afternoon drive from the Asahikawa city center to “Roadside station Toma” in the northeastern outskirts of the city, followed by an exploration of the roadside station in the latter half.
The drive way is mostly straight, so it might be good for zoning out and enjoying the scenery…
The roadside station here features curry and ramen restaurants, and offers snacks and souvenirs themed around “Densuke watermelon,” a specialty product of Touma Town. Despite its size, I feel it’s a worthwhile stop for exploration.
