☕️{Travel Vlog} Coffee Tour | Colombia Diaries pt. 3

Hola, Exploradores!

We absolutely loved going to La Casa Grande Coffee Hacienda!

This was such a fun coffee tour. It was incredibly interactive, and we felt like we could ask any question we wanted. As soon as we arrived, we were given bottles of water to hydrate, ponchos to wear, hats for the sun, and little baskets to put around our hips so we can collect the coffee berries.

Coffee berries are ready to be picked when they are ripened and have a red color to them. We try to collect as many as we could, but being uphill, the humidity, and the many ants around, made it hard to collect coffee. We have such a deep appreciation for the coffee we drink after that experience.

Afterwards, we were treated to a farm to table meal. All the ingredients were sourced from that same coffee farm. My favorite thing was the bean soup, savory and delicious. We were treated to a demonstration where we got to taste several kinds. I absolutely love food tours, not only because you actually get to taste the delicious food, but you get to yourself and learn where your food comes from. 

Come on this adventure with us as we take you away for a few minutes to another part of the world as we reminisce on the beautiful sights, sounds, and smells of our coffee tour in Colombia. Our Columbia diaries will have three or four parts since our stay was so full of amazing memories. We had so many experiences that this is only part one.
