本日は、2026年の「十日戎（とおかえびす）」に際し、京都の五花街の一つ、宮川町の人気舞妓・叶静（かのしず）さんを連れてお詣りした際の、貴重な未公開ライブ動画を編集してお届けいたします。
「えべっさん」の愛称で親しまれる十日戎は、商売繁盛を願う新春の恒例行事です。今回の動画では、京都ならではの伝統的な風景とともに、普段は見ることのできない舞妓さんとのリラックスした道中の様子をお楽しみいただけます。
■人力車で巡る京都の街並み
京都の十日戎といえば、宝恵駕籠（ほえかご）が有名ですが、今回は人力車「恵比寿屋」さんの虎鉄さんに導かれ、京都らしい風情を楽しみながら恵美須神社へと向かいました。
道中では、八坂通りを上がりながら、ミシュラン星付きの料亭「建仁寺 祇園 丸山」や「天ぷら 八坂 圓堂」、予約困難な「祇園 佐々木」といった名店が並ぶエリアを通過します。叶静さんがお仕事で訪れる際のエピソードや、京都の食文化についても触れています。
■舞妓・叶静さんとの会話
動画内では、叶静さんが英語で歌を披露してくださる一幕や、京都検定にまつわるお話、さらには京都出身だからこそ意外と知らない地元の歴史についてなど、和やかなトークが繰り広げられます。法観寺（八坂の塔）の美しい佇まいを背に、聖徳太子ゆかりの歴史に思いを馳せるひとときは、まさに京都ならではの贅沢な時間です。

[Unreleased Live Edit] 2026 Toka Ebisu Pilgrimage: Visiting Kyoto Ebisu Shrine with Maiko Kanoshizu
Hello everyone, welcome to Kissy’s Kyoto.
Today, we are excited to share a specially edited, previously unreleased live video of our visit to the “Toka Ebisu” festival in 2026. We had the honor of being accompanied by the popular Maiko Kanoshizu from Miyagawa-cho, one of Kyoto’s five Geiko districts.
The Toka Ebisu festival, affectionately known as “Ebessan,” is a traditional New Year event where people pray for business prosperity. In this video, you can enjoy the traditional scenery of Kyoto and a relaxed conversation with a Maiko, which is rarely seen by the public.
■ Exploring Kyoto by Rickshaw
While the “Hoe-kago” (palanquin) is a famous tradition of Kyoto’s Toka Ebisu, we traveled to the shrine in style using an “Ebisuya” rickshaw. Pulled by Kotetsu-san, we moved through the atmospheric Yasaka Street. We passed by renowned Michelin-starred restaurants such as “Gion Sasaki” and “Tempura Yasaka Endo,” discussing the deep culinary culture of Gion and Kanoshizu-san’s experiences working in these prestigious establishments.
■ Moments with Maiko Kanoshizu
The video captures charming moments, including Kanoshizu-san singing a song in English and our chat about the “Kyoto Sightseeing Cultural Ebisu Certification Test.” We also reflect on the history of the “Yasaka-no-to” (Hokan-ji Temple) pagoda, a symbol of Kyoto built by Prince Shotoku, as we take in its majestic view from the rickshaw.
■ Bringing “Ebisu-gao” (Smiling Faces) to Everyone
At Ebisu Shrine, we prayed for a prosperous year ahead, hoping that everyone would be blessed with an “Ebisu-gao”—the iconic joyful smile of the deity Ebisu. We hope the vibrant energy of New Year’s in Kyoto and the elegant presence of Kanoshizu-san bring good fortune to all of you.
