Starting with a direct boat ride from downtown Hiroshima, we arrive at high tide to see the iconic floating torii gate rising from the sea. We then walk through Momijidani Park, take the ropeway up Mount Misen, and enjoy panoramic views of the Seto Inland Sea before hiking back down through quiet forest trails.
After lunch featuring Miyajima’s famous oyster rice, we return to explore Itsukushima Shrine, built over water and transformed by the changing tides. The day ends with a relaxing walk along Omotesando Shopping Street before leaving the island.
