It was a very prosperous place for exchanges such as holding performances, Noh performances, and serving meals. The center of politics, economics, and culture was Nagoya Castle in Saga, so it was like the capital of Japan. You can imagine that it was a very lively town. The luxuriousness of this tea room is truly a masterpiece, symbolizing that fact.At events here, you can enter the tea room and enjoy matcha tea and listen to explanations from the curator. There is a large protruding needle in front of Mr. Okuma’s study desk.It is said that Shigenobu’s mother created this device so that if he tried to do so, his head would hit the needle.Okuma worked hard to build a new nation under the new Meiji government. Mr. Okuma greatly contributed to the modernization of Japan and was passionate about education. He is also known as a great orator. He traveled all over the country to make his ideas understood by the people. Mr. Okuma captivated many people. I once said that I think of it this way.I named it a stubborn person with a strong sense of service. The real funeral was held in Hibiya Park. When ordinary citizens heard this, they wore mourning clothes. The number of people who came inside Hibiya Park, left their business cards, and recorded their books was calculated to be 300,000 people. Those who still couldn’t get in could now say that from the entrance of Hibiya to Yurakucho.
