green and minimalist but never simple while planning your trip you might get overwhelmed so here is a 14-day itinerary to make your planning easier now let’s C this to starting our Japanese Adventure in none other than [Music] Tokyo we are starting this day at sukij Market where you can find all kinds of traditional Japanese food and it is especially famous for fresh seafood this giant market both inner and outer was once the world’s largest wholesale fish and seafood market created primarily for professionals nowadays you can taste all kinds of traditional Japanese Foods here as they have small bites for everyone and let me tell you the Lively and busy Vibe here is incredible I had to cross off one thing that was on my bucket list for quite some time Christy approves I still can’t get over the fact that we are in Tokyo eating sushi right now we are now about to enter the sensui temple which was built in the 7th Century it is one of the most beautiful most colorful and most popular temples here in Tokyo When approaching the temple you will first enter through the stunning thundergate then walk through a shopping street called Kam which leads from the outer gate to the Temple’s second gate the hosan this shopping street has a history of several centuries beyond the hosan gate stands the Temple’s main hall and a five-story pagoda before entering the temple you will notice a small fountain nearby where people purify themselves take the lle and pour water over your hands and then enjoy the Majestic Temple and its Gardens wow [Music] afterwards be sure to explore the Lively surrounding District of asakusa with plenty of shops and food then let’s move on to another colorful and busy District Shibuya we ended up at Tes Street which is this street with so many bizarre shops cafes and restaurants and they even have a coffee shop that has PS gy cafes are a thing in Japan offering more than just a cup of coffee besides cuddling with cute piglets you can enjoy your coffee alongside friendly rabbits miniature goats or even owls this is the Charming and playful side of Japanese [Music] culture I haven’t realized that I’ve been drinking coffee in a boring way my whole life it is time for lunch and I have a pro tip for you if you want the best ramen in Japan go to ichiran which is only a 5 minute walk from takesa Street this restaurant is famous for its solo dining experience in a booth designed to help you focus purely on your food without any distractions it’s a must visit in Japan when you enter the restaurant you get this piece of paper where you define how strong should your broth be what consistency your noodles should have if you want it spicy or not it is just such a cool way of ordering your food it’s so so delicious the next must visit spot is right across from takesita Street Magi jingu Shrine one of the most popular shrines in Tokyo it is famous for its incredible architecture but what I loved most were the scenic surroundings with tall trees and beautiful alleys for a moment you feel like you are not in Tokyo [Music] anymore we are right now in Shinjuku which is this super busy area I would compare it to Time Square in New York City this buzzing District of Tokyo is famous for shopping and night life and recently this 3D cat billboard has become very popular the billboard uses the most advanced 3D display technology which makes the cat look three dimensional on a flat surface it is very cool and so cute at the same time right in the heart of Shinjuku is omo De Yoko a maze of narrow Alives with a unique atmosphere packed with historic eateries and bars this place takes you back in time to the city’s post-war era which contrasts beautifully with the modern part of Shinjuku and this is where we will wrap up the day get a good night’s sleep because tomorrow will be just as busy and exciting good morning it is cloudy and rainy day too but we are still going to have an awesome day are you ready to see Tokyo from a whole new perspective Shibuya Skai takes you 229 m above the buling City offering a 360 view of Tokyo you can even spot Shibuya Crossing from here the busiest Crossing in the [Music] world just remember you will need to make a reservation weeks in advance as it sells out quickly from Shibuya Sky head to Shibuya Crossing imagine hundreds even thousands of people moving together in perfect chaotic Harmony on average 2.4 million people cross Shibuya every day for the best views grab a coffee at the Starbucks right by the crossing and enjoy the action from the top spot today for lunch we have another traditional Japanese food which is Shabu Shabu this Japanese Hot Pot lets you cook your meal right at the table dip thin slices of beef or pork into a pot of hot broth and in seconds it’s perfectly cooked parar it with fresh veggies and savory dipping sauces and you’ve got a fun interactive meal that’s as delicious as it is entertaining the meat is like melting in my [Music] mouth for dessert embrace your adventurous self and try the green tea ice cream with red beans Ginza is a shipping District when you go shipping in Japan your best is going to be your passport because if you provide as a tourist passport at the checkout counter you will get everything taxfree which is a really really nice [Music] discount moving on let’s experience some culture not a fan of museums no worries team up planets might be a digital art museum but it’s anything but ordinary get ready to be amazed as you go barefoot among interactive artworks expect to be enchanted by a room of infinite lights a fun sinking floor walking through water with fish and flowers laying down in the flower Universe enjoying giant light balloons exploring the egg garden and immersing yourself in a magical floating flower garden this experience is truly incredible you will feel like you are in a different Universe for a [Music] moment rise and shine today we are leaving Tokyo behind and heading to Nagano on a shinkansen a Japanese bullet train that can reach speeds of up to 320 km per hour the journey will take around 1 hour and 20 minutes we made it welcome to [Music] Nagano Nagano is a Charming Mountain City especially popular for winter sports it even hosted the Winter Olympic Games there are two notable temples to visit in Nagano saoi Temple a small but gorgeous side that very few people are aware of and the famous zeni temple which dates back to the 7th [Music] Century the modern city of Nagano actually began as a town that formed around zeni Temple but the best reason to visit Nagano is the snow monkey Park hop on a bus and in 45 minutes you will be at the [Music] entrance take a walk through the beautiful forest and you will probably see your first monkey pretty quickly in a few more minutes you will reach an onon a Japanese hot spring this is where the monkeys warm up in the winter but don’t worry they are around in spring and summer too just head up they are incredibly [Music] cute monkeys in general don’t like to get wet they are basically like cats that hate bathing and this is the only place in the world where you can see monkeys soaking in water like [Music] that this is really one of my top experiences here in Japan the last thing for today is to check into a rokan a small familiar R traditional Japanese accommodation spend the night on a futon bed enjoy tea on a leg glass chair wear a Yukata a casual version of the kimono relax in an onset and experience Japanese culture to the fullest it’s another beautiful day in Japan and after a traditional Japanese breakfast at the rokan it’s time to head to the next bucketless stop Kyoto the journey to Kyoto by shazen takes around 3 hours swep it’s and I’m a TI it’s a long [Music] time we will arrive in Kyoto in the afternoon and head straight to kyom Suda temple one of Kyoto’s must SE world heritage sites famous for its huge wooden Terrace it offers stunning views of the city especially when the Sherry and maple trees are in [Music] bloom don’t miss the otava waterfall where each of its three streams brings a blessing longevity School Success or laugh part of the adventure is walking through the Charming higashiyama District full of cute narrow streets shops and restaurants just wander around and soak in the old Kyoto vibes [Music] it’s a sunny new day in Kyoto and we are heading first thing in the morning to arashiyama Bamboo Grove this bamboo forest is one of the most photographed sites in the city stroll along paths lined with endless rows of towering bamboo creating a dreamlike atmosphere standing among these stocks of bamboo feels like being in a completely different world it’s like being in a giant green maze right next to the forest is arashiyama park with a stunning Viewpoint that makes you forget all about the city just look at these stunning [Music] views close to the park is the Zen temple tenryuji famous for its Garden which has remained in its original form for centuries now Kyoto was FS Japan’s capital and is especially famous for its beautiful temp and shrines so our exploration continues next on the list is Rio Ani famous for its Rock zen garden these Zen Gardens were usually used for meditation and concentration surrounding the temple is another stunning garden with a pond then visit my personal favorite King Kakui Temple covered in gold and just look at that gorgeous Pond these temples are very close to each other making it a perfectly Spann afternoon by now you are probably getting hungry so our next stop is Nishiki Market which is known as Kyoto’s kitchen it is Lively buzzing and there are so many delicious choices all around it is over 400 years old that’s it for today let’s head to bed early because tomorrow we will need to be up bright and early good morning we are kicking off the day early at one of my absolute favorite spots in Kyoto Fushimi in aine this place is famous for its thousands of bright red Tory Gates that seem to stretch on forever as you walk through these Gates you feel a rush of excitement almost like the energy of the shrine is pulling you forward each story is a gift from someone who believed in the power of this place and it’s hard not to get caught up in the magic of it all it is really beautiful it lives up to the hype the Tory Gates lead the path up mount inar a 4 km walk to the top from there you get a beautiful view of the city if you want this place for yourself it is important to be there by 8:30 the latest otherwise your experience will look like this wake up early come early it’s worth [Music] it now there are two more important places you must visit when in Kyoto conveniently close to one another firstly njo Castle a historic Fortress built in 1603 as a home for the powerful tokuga Shoguns get a glimpse of Samurai culture from within the impressive wooden buildings and beautiful gardens secondly explore Kyoto Imperial Palace known for its elegant traditional buildings this Palace was the residence of Japanese emperor until 1869 when the capital was moved from Kyoto to Tokyo Japan always had an emperor and they even have one until now but nowadays his role is mostly ceremonial and representative you are probably starving by now and Kyoto is a great place for some delicious and fresh running Sushi pay attention to the color of your plates as each color indicates a different price I guarantee the sushi you try here will be the best ever the last place to visit in Kyoto is the gon District this part of town has a historic charm and is known for gisha culture and traditional tea houses if there is a place to spot a real gisha this is your chance take a walk and slowly say your good B to [Music] Kyoto it’s a fresh morning in Kyoto and we are heading straight to our next destination Hiroshima on the shinkansen The Journey will take only about 1 hour and 40 [Music] minutes at 8:15 August 6 1945 the first atomic bomb exploded 600 m Above This Place 78,000 people died instantly and those who survived suffered severe burns and also radiation even though the atomic bomb exploded almost above this place this is one of the few buildings that is still standing until [Music] today right across the river from the atomic bomb Dome is peace Memorial Park which is dedicated to the memory of the bomb’s victims just walk around the park and stop by The Monuments along the way this is the flame of peace that is supposed to burn until the world gets rid of all the nuclear [Music] weapons next to the park is the Hiroshima beace Memorial Museum it describes the horror of the explosion and educates about Atomic weapons inside the museum people were completely silent With Tears in their eyes myself included this was one of the most powerful experiences of my life the last thing on the list to visit in Hiroshima is Hiroshima Castle this Castle was completely destroyed in 1945 by the bomb as everything else here in the city so they completely rebuild it when you reach the top you have a beautiful 360 view all over the city when you get hungry make sure to St buy okonomi mura which has the best okonomi Yaki hiroshima’s signature dish it’s like a Savory pancake layered with noodles fried egg meat if you want and delicious savory sauce they always prepare it in front of you which is fun if you ask me about my favorite Japanese dish this is it love it love it love it love it [Applause] [Music] good morning today we are off on a day trip to the stunning Mima Island we are taking a ferry to get to the island they leave from here every 10 minutes and we also can use our Jr pass for this ride the FED ride is just a quick 15 minutes and the adventure [Music] begins Mima is famous for its iconic giant Tory gate which at high tide appears to float magically on the water this breathtaking view draws millions of visitors every year all eager to cross it off their bucket [Music] list right next to the gate is the beautiful itsukushima Shrine which is also built over the [Music] water afterwards heads to the ropeway for a ride up to the Island’s highest [Music] Mountain from the ropeway station it’s about a 30-minute hike to the summit along the way you might encounter some adorable animals and pass by stunning Buddhist structures as you approach the peak finally you will be rewarded with panoramatic views from the top of the [Music] mountain with 535 m above sea level Mount misson is the highest mountain on this island and it is one of the sacred mountains here in Japan all out Bri [Music] Soldier so hard 4. So many beautiful places in Japan..it’s worth to visit, since i’ve been there wayback 2001…i really missed this country..thank you for sharing…such a great vlog you did👏👏👏😍

  5. 明日は富士山と北アルプス山頂で雪が降るようです。スカイツリーや東京タワーなどから眺めてみよう。

  6. 外国人観光客に人気のある「定番観光地」ばかり。海外版日本ガイドで紹介されてるんだろうね。

They are all "standard tourist spots" that are popular with foreign tourists. I guess they are introduced in overseas Japan guidebooks.

  7. Welcome to Japan. If you are from abroad, please be careful when taking photos at religious facilities. Temples and shrines are not places to run around. They are not places to take photos, but places to pray peacefully.

  8. I recommend you to just relax on the white sand beach in Okinawa for a few days at the end of your journey. It is a paradise in Japan.

  9. 今度は是非 北海道・九州・沖縄などにも行ってみてください!
    北海道と九州は 食べ物が美味しいです。沖縄はリゾートと言った感じです。四国は四国でとてもスピリチュアルで神聖な土地です。(伊勢もね。)

  10. Hello, I just saw your YouTube video about your trip to Japan. Very nice, I liked it! I would like to know, if possible, what was your travel budget including all expenses (flights, hotels, trains, food, etc.)?
    Thanks.

  11. I now finally made it to watch your Japan experience 😍 wow, that was an exciting trip and brought back so many good memories from my trip back in spring this year. I love it. Thank you, Kristi 🙏 Arigatou gozaimasu 🎌

  12. I love Japan and the Japanese people! A magical place in the world that the rest of the world could learn alot from!

  13. Yamagata City, where I live, is a little-known city with very few tourists, but it is a garden city surrounded by beautiful mountains and nature,
and the meat, ramen, fruit, sake, and taro stew soup called ''imoni" are all delicious here.
In neighboring Miyagi Prefecture, there is a large city called Sendai, home to Date Masamune, the famous One-Eyed Dragon Samurai from the Sengoku period, so I would like you to visit both cities.
And above all, I would be happy if you could stop by the surrounding cities that have been rebuilt after the Great East Japan Earthquake of 3/11.
    Thank you.

  14. Kristi: where/how do you get your AEREAL VIEWS of those places you visited ? Domo arigato, if you answer!!

  15. We Japanese welcome tourists who respect our culture, don't cause trouble in public, and observe good manners.
