welcome adventurers I’m Joe Tilly and I’m Penny CLA Tilly now we’re standing in front of one of the world’s most famous landmarks Mount Fuji join us on an exhilarating journey through Korea and Japan where history culture and wonders wait [Applause] Japan and Korea where you can experience the best East Asia has to offer from the historical Serenity of temples and shrines to the bustling Neon Lights with people known for their politeness and Hospitality Japan and Korea offer a captivating Journey Through [Music] Time upon arrival at Osaka Kai airport we were met by our driver who trans us to our hotel which is conveniently located just a stone throw away from the airport boasting lovely rooms with amazing views breakfast was another delightful surprise served on the 54 floor with a panoramic Ocean View and hundreds of food choices to start your [Music] day where else you going to find a hotel like this we’re in the 54th floor the top floor of the fifth highest building in pan we’re overlooking the Pacific Ocean enjoying breakfast breakfast cappuccino there’s a canai Osaka airport right over [Music] there day one of our Japanese Excursion brings us to Osaka castle built in 1585 by Boshi toyotomi the emperor of Japan buckle up as we introduce you to the Land of the Rising [Music] [Applause] Sun this is doten Bor this is one of the most famous streets in all of Japan it’s crazy it’s like walking into a video game here look at this you got giant crabs you got golden cows this is crazy food shopping if you can’t find it on do bore it probably can’t be found anywhere in [Music] Japan okay here’s our first lunch in Japan what we have here is we have pork in our own little paper hot pots it’s cooking right now then we have uh cumi which is raw fish and then we have all oh yeah tempura and then we’ve got all kinds of collectible items here to to snack on this is going to be fantastic lunch enjoy dig in folks let’s do [Music] it okay we’re at Nara Park where there are thousands of these Nara deer they’re very very friendly you can feed them or just pet them they’re beautiful animals incredibly [Music] friendly well this is it the arashiyama Bamboo Grove it’s like stepping into an enchanted forest being transported into another world it’s like a bamboo maze with a light shine sunlight shining through the canopy between the birds and the rustling of the bamboo it’s really calming and meditative and Serene I could fall asleep standing up this afternoon we are participating in a wagashi making class wagashi are traditional Japanese sweets often enjoyed with matcha green tea these Delicacies come in various shapes and colors representing the seasons and different natural elements today we’ll be making Sakura wagashi the cherry blossom site the primary ingredient in Rashi is sweet bean paste which can be either red bean paste or white bean [Music] paste okay one was made by the master and one was made by me can you tell the difference all right you guess it yeah this is mine well making cookies was a little harder than I thought but you know what it still looks pretty tasty don’t you think I’m going to try some now with my traditional Japanese matcha tea doesn’t that look [Music] good how is it you tast it’s good one of the highlights of Kyoto is a Fushimi anari Shrine thousands of Tory Gates stretching up the mountain side creating a mesmerizing tunnel of color and culture now it take you all day to go through all of them but we will take you through a few another highlight of Kyoto is the kinkakuji temple or golden Pavilion you see how shiny that is you know why that building is so shiny the top two floors are actually painted with gold leaf yes there’s over 20 kg of gold in that paint job [Music] [Music] w [Music] one of the most exhilarating inventions in Japan is the chinson also known as the bullet train it’s so fast exciting and efficient and really comfortable it sure is Penny CLA and fast of course you mentioned that reaching speeds of about 350 km an hour whisking people from City to city across the country it really truly is also very safe the safety record of this train is impeccable so hop aboard enjoy the ride [Music] now this is the view of Mount Fuji from gotemba peace Park isn’t that spectacular [Music] not far from Lake kawaguchi our hotel offers a beautiful location with traditional Japanese tatami style rooms you can also choose to upgrade to a Mountain View room for a stunning sight of Mount Fuji and tonight’s dinner is my favorite Japanese buffet with that amazing view [Music] [Applause] how’s this for a dining experience a traditional Japanese dinner beautifully set up for us lovely buffet style look at that that’s Mount Fuji the real Mount Fuji right there cheers [Music] [Music] to you all today Penny CLA and I are embracing traditional Japanese culture and style exploring the iconic senoji temple in these fabulous Japanese konos there’s something magical about wandering these ancient streets in this beautiful garments as we approach sji Temple the air is filled with the smell of incense and the sound of temple bells creating an atmosphere of reverence and spirituality you can almost imagine that we’re time traveling in this beautiful beautiful cultural history on this sacred site [Music] [Music] here it is this our optional kaisaki dinner and this is really going to tickle your taste bud folks all kinds of flavors and tastes and different things to try this is It’s time for the soup and it’s a mackerel fish soup and with a clear broth and it’s really incredibly tasty did eat [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] shabuya crossing the busiest and most exil accelerating intersection in all of Japan you can go right down there and immerse yourself in all the action or like me you can sit up here in a rooftop Cafe and enjoy a cup of [Music] coffee after a short flight from Japan we started our new journey in South Korea we met our driver and boarded a spacious new bus our wonderful and tour guide mini is ready to show us around stay tuned as we explore Soul’s vibrant culture saber delicious street food and visit stunning temples let the adventure [Music] begin this is the andong haho folk Village built around well sometime in the 1400s Queen Elizabeth II actually visited here in 1999 took a look at the Stables these buildings a lot of uh history in this architecture you can almost hear The Whispers as you’re walking through this area Hey Joe did you hear that [Music] so in the center of this UNESCO world heritage site you’ll find this 600y old zelov tree now folks have been coming here for centuries to make their wishes tie them to the vine here tie them to the tree [Music] tonight we’re in for a real treat with a special Korean barbecue dinner a big night for meat lovers you can Grill your own or get help from a professional barbecue Master vegetarians no worries there are delicious barbecue mushrooms and veggies as well [Music] [Music] as for our hotel and breakfast in Korea well they’re outstanding as [Music] always this is hey dong y ganga Temple the Happy Dragon now this is a very special Temple unlike most temples you’ll see this one is right here on the seaside very lucky Temple but you only get one wish so make it a good [Music] one this is gam Chan culture Village busan’s incredible artistic Marvel some refer to it as the Machu picu of Korea our tripo tour guide mini calls it Lego City in any case it’s spectacular let’s Dive Right In shall we [Music] you’ve heard of Chicken Soup for the Soul well this is chicken soup in soul look at that bad boy lunch in Soul Korea it is spectacular and jining in there too this is going to be really good yummy yummy yummy hot [Music] this is Royal tumile Park in ganju now these Hills here they look like normal Hills right but they aren’t Hills inside are tombs where royalty is buried these date back to the Sila Dynasty in Korea uh but that Sila Dynasty is one of the longest running dynasties Korea has ran for about a thousand years and that dynasty ended about 1100 years ago so let’s go inside and have a look at the tombs from some of the royalty [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] we’re staying at the Four Points by Sheron and soul conveniently located next to the train station and close to shopping malls and the City Center the rooms are brand new and the breakfast is is incredible now this is the busiest area in all of Korea you can find it all here food fashion but this is an absolute mustsee when you come to South Korea and you know what your hotel is just a short distance from here it’s a blast let’s check it out [Music] we are about 2 kilometers away from North Korea you see that fence up there on the other side of the fence is North Korea and now right now we’re going to visit the second tunnel the second tunnel Korea’s widest and closest to North Korea discovered in 1975 today you can only visit here as a travel group we aren’t allowed to take videos inside the tunnel but I’d like to show you some photos after visiting the second tunnel we stop by the peace Observatory from there you can see North Korea with your own eyes through a [Music] telescope all right this is an exciting day we’re here in Soul we’re heading to the Palace but first we’re going to get dressed up in traditional hangok come on let’s have a look [Music] welcome to Young Buck Palace I’m Joe Tilly with my lovely wife Penny CLA and today we’re taking a step back in history wearing the handbo tire and doesn’t she look fantastic well thank you Joe you’re looking very handsome yourself it’s really fun to play the king and queen of this beautiful palace you know uh this is the largest of five palaces built during the Jan Dynasty and it was built when p uh 1395 and it’s our honor to show you our beautiful humble abode won’t you join us yes welcome come along [Music] we hope you’ve enjoyed this small trip poo Taste of Japan and Korea we certainly had a lot of fun bringing it to you this has been the cherry blossom season the sites are equally impressive in the fall during the changing of the Japanese maples for now this is Joe and Penny CLA say [Music] it’s been really really good so far the execution chopa as usual has gone Way Beyond what they normally do and and everything has been done to perfection um I I’ve just enjoyed it all I I don’t want to break it all down but yeah everything so far has been just amazing well so far I I’m thrilled with it one thing that really has come to my attention is how clean it is I have not been able to find one little thing even in the country that’s waste right it’s beautiful is this your your first trip out poou yes it’s our first tour with three popo and what are your thoughts we enjoyed it very much uh the company was very organized we love all hotels we love all sides we saw it was very exciting too the food was excellent yes tell me uh what is this your first time with trip Papo this is my first time with tro yes and I love it it’s great very well organized and there so many sites to see I just it’s mindboggling all the people and all the nationalities that come to visit this country is truly amazing right so is this your first trip Papo in no this is my second trip with them I went last year to Egypt and Jordan and this is our country I’m traveling with my friends six of us are together and it is really good for a group um to tour you know you don’t need to have any Hassle hasslefree and Trio is taking care of each and every one of us and it was really nice I recommend today’s day is a special with the kimono dress it was quite awesome way to put it on that was great and enjoyed it took some pictures and weather was cooperating we were walking around and it’s like we felt like we are part of the community this is this will be our memorable trip and it will be always in our well thanks yeah okay Shirley first of all is this your first trip offo tour yes it is and what are your thoughts so far very impressed very impressed with the service the way they look after us and I feel totally look after what do you think of the hotels oh luxury especially the onset and the Mount Fuji hotel that was a dream come true
