Sindhorn Kempinski (24 Hours Inside Bangkok’s Ultimate City Retreat)

What if your first 24 hours in Bangkok could
leave you feeling refreshed instead of exhausted? I always struggle with jet lag, so
after my overnight flight from London I checked into the Sindhorn Kempinksi a hotel which calls itself
a ‘city wellness sanctuary’ In this video, I’m going to
take you inside so that you can see what a 24 hour stay here can look like from the tranquil spaces to dining lush greenery and more all so that you can decide if
this is the right hotel for you all completely independent and unsponsored After a lot of research I decided to stay at this hotel for 2 key reasons firstly I’d stayed before and really enjoyed it and secondly, it’s not just another luxury stay the Sindhorn Kempinski is
designed for rejuvenation with a focus on wellness and green space which was a massive plus for me
after an overnight long-haul flight Just like the first time, my arrival at the
Sindhorn Kempinksi was a really positive one not only were the staff really warm and welcoming they were extremely helpful and it was a real joy to step back inside the
Sindhorn Kempinksi grand, light filled lobby and that’s because despite the cavernous space the lobby still exuded the warmth
and elegance that I remembered with its deep green tones and lush greenery creating a really calming retreat
from the bustling city outside Opened in 2020, this city wellness
sanctuary has nearly 300 rooms a number of restaurants a bar an executive club and a fantastic spa Now of course, you’ll see all of those
spaces later on in this video, but first let me take you to the spa, because this
is where I first went after checking in I really needed to find
out if a floatation session and a soothing massage could really help reset my
body after a long flight This is spa reception area where I received
a really warm welcome from the staff I was settled in and also given a tour of the spa This is the room where I
had my floatation experience and this is the room where I received the
massage on what I can only describe as the fluffiest, warmest, most comfortable
bed I’ve ever laid on during massage Afterwards, I was taken to the relaxation
room, which has lots of reclining chairs and of course, I also was
served a calming herbal tea I’m pleased to say that for
me, using a floatation tank and getting an amazing massage really did
help to reset my body after a long flight because for the first time, despite
arriving early in the morning, I made it through an entire day feeling recharged but honestly, there is so much more
to this spa than just facials and massages which is why I’m planning a third visit If you stick around until the end of
this video I’ll tell you a bit more about the spa and why it’s become
my go to for relaxation in Bangkok After the spa, it was time to unpack and unwind on my first stay, I booked the Executive
Club Room which I’ll show you first for my second visit I upgraded
to the Executive Suite If you stick around until the end, I’ll
share what I loved about these rooms but for now let’s step inside both so that you
can decide which room, if any, is best for you and since PreJURNI is more about immersive visuals I’m going to stop talking here, so sit back
and experience the rooms for yourself… After a day of unwinding, I headed to Ki Izakaya a Japanese restaurant on the 9th
floor of the Sindhorn Kempkinski tucked just beside the infinity
pool, which I’ll show you later With a menu of Japanese small plates
and a laid back vibe it turned out to be the perfect spot for an evening bite in Bangkok Next I headed to the Ground Floor to check out the Firefly bar for signature cocktails
and also to check out the live Jazz band While this footage was taken
during a quieter time of the day the Firefly Bar really comes alive
in the evening with its live jazz making it the perfect spot to
enjoy its creative cocktails and to enjoy live entertainment
in the heart of Bangkok After a restful sleep, I
headed down to enjoy breakfast the Sindhorn Kempinski actually offers
three great options for breakfast Flourish, which I’m showing you now where
you can indulge in an international buffet either in the Hotel itself or
outside, as you’ll see later but there’s also Bistrot de la Mer and Berthold
Delicatessen which I’ll show you shortly and here you have Bistro de la Mer a much quieter affair on the 19th floor for
those with Club Lounge access and for those who prefer a quick bite to eat or even a comforting treat you
have Berthold Delicatessen After breakfast, I headed up to
the 9th floor to chill out at the stunning infinity pool located opposite
the Spa and just next to Ki Izakaya the Pool is actually part of the
Hotel’s extensive wellness program offering a serene atmosphere
and views of Bangkok skyline the Pool is 25m in length and cantilevered but since it’s a bit difficult
to see the unique design here when I take you for a walk in the Hotel’s lush
garden a bit later on I’ll point the Pool out to you so you can see how it enhances
the Hotel’s unique design and appeal making it a standout feature at the property After unwinding by the pool I took
a stroll through the lush tropical garden next door to the Sindhorn Kempinski In fact if you stand in the middle
of the garden and look upwards you can spot the cantilevered pool
with its sleek shiny silver design making stand out against the rest of the
Hotel’s exterior and the stunning greenery After a lovely peaceful walk, I returned
to the Sindhorn Kempinski which seemed to be buzzing with lots of guests
enjoying their Afternoon Tea so I headed up to the 19th floor
to check out the Executive Lounge and catch up on a bit more of my book And just like that, my 1st 24
hours in Bangkok came full circle instead of feeling drained
I felt completely refreshed from a morning at the Spa on Day 1, to unwinding
at the Executive Lounge at the end of Day 2 this say was definitely all about recharging Now, if you’re considering staying here
or you’ve already booked, stick around because I’m going to tell you 1 key
thing that you need to be aware of as well as my Top 5 favorite
things about this Hotel This video isn’t sponsored and I didn’t
receive any perks or discounts or incentives everything was paid for out of my own pocket I’m just a guest who’s sharing visuals
and insights to help you decide if this Hotel is the right one for your stay in Bangkok but of course everyone has their own
preferences, so just consider this a personal perspective which might help you
with decision making about your own trip So now for my thoughts…. The Sindhorn Kempinski isn’t the
most connected Hotel in Bangkok with the nearest station about
15 to 20 minutes’ walk away if you enjoy walking and you don’t
mind the heat, it’s manageable otherwise, taxis, especially
the Grab app, are your best bet but don’t let this one factor put you off as you’ll see in my list of top
things I loved about this Hotel one of them was actually the location So now for the list of Top 5 things
that I loved about this Hotel…. At Number 5 is the room size the entry level rooms at this Hotel are huge starting at 66m², that’s 710ft² that’s far larger than many of
the five star hotels in Bangkok where standard rooms are often around 40 to 45m² At Number 4 is the Hotel’s
proximity to Bangkok’s peaceful Lumphini Park which is just 8 minutes’ walk away At Number 3 is the fact that the Hotel
is on the doorstep of Sindhorn Village which is just across from the green space I really enjoyed this bustling
area, especially at night because it has lots of dining options and
even a pharmacy and an underground supermarket the Kimpton Maa Lai Hotel is also just next door so it’s another option if
you fancy a change of scenery At Number 2 is the unique and peaceful
Garden Sanctuary just next door to the Hotel I say ‘unique’ because it’s a small peaceful
of green space right in the heart of Bangkok and for me it was a hidden gem offering a refreshing escape from
the hustle and bustle of the city and really helped me to unwind and reconnect And at Number 1, the Wellness Sanctuary spanning over 4000ft², this
wellness sanctuary offers so much more than massages and floatation therapies that’s just the beginning if skincare is your thing,
expect luxury brands like 111Skin if you’re into Hydrotherapy, Thermal Experiences
or Ritual Experiences, you’ll find those too if you prefer to move, there’s a Cycle Studio (and
it even has Les Mills Virtual Reality classes) and there’s of course a Gym, but
there’s also a HIIT and Boxing Studio and if you prefer something gentler, there’s
also a Pilates Studio and Yoga Garden so whatever your wellness vibe, this
place has something to support it I couldn’t explore it all
because I was busy filming but that’s exactly why I’m planning stay Number 3 More Bangkok hotel videos are on the
way so don’t miss the next PreJURNI stay
