【2025,夏旅】北海道・絶景の向日葵!オロロンラインで小樽港へ。最終回

Welcome. This is the last day of my Hokkaido tour. Good morning. I woke up around 5 a.m. on this trip. The owner of the inn saw me off as I set off. Apparently, the inn opened for bikers in April of this year, and the owner was incredibly kind and I had a very comfortable stay. So, here’s today’s route. Let’s zoom in on this rectangular area. We’re heading for Otaru Port, making detours along the way. Today’s travel distance is about 210 km. So, on my final day, I’m looking forward to enjoying it without any accidents or violations. Crossing this bridge will take you to Hokuryu Town. We’ve entered Hokuryu Town. The country sign is a sunflower. It’s my favorite town, full of energy. A town with the sun on its side. Japan’s No. 1 sunflower village. It says so. Our first stop is “Himawari no Sato.” It’s about 11 km from the starting point to “Himawari no Sato.” Now, we’re arriving at our destination. I obtained an aerial photography permit at Hokuryu Town Hall. Due to aerial photography requirements, I arrived at 6:30 a.m. before opening time. So, I’d like to share what it was like when I visited yesterday. This is what it was like when I visited yesterday. First, I headed inside the building. Inside, there were food and souvenirs available. First, I paid the parking fee. Here, I made a donation to the volunteer activities at Himawari no Sato. As a thank you, I received a postcard and sunflower seeds. Now, please take a look at the spectacular “Himawari no Sato.” Himawari no Sato in Hokuryu Town is visited by over 200,000 tourists every year . From mid-July to late August, approximately 2 million sunflowers bloom across the vast 23-hectare site (about five Tokyo Domes), delighting visitors. The sunflower maze. The sounds of sunflowers and cicadas were very soothing. It was a sunflower power spot. I also recommend the soft-serve ice cream made with sunflower seeds. Now, I headed to my next destination. It was about 41 km away. I took the Fukagawa-Rumoi Expressway to Rumoi City. It’s a free highway. I entered the Ororon Line, everyone’s favorite. The weather was beautiful, and the coastline was amazing! It was 117km from Wakkanai, and we soon arrived at our destination, Usuya Fishing Port. It’s about 7km north of Rumoi City. Usuya Fishing Port offers delicious octopus, scallops, and sea urchin! The distinctive smell of the ocean is a fishing port. Scallops are 200 yen each. These fresh scallops are 200 yen. They’re so delicious you could eat as many as you wanted. The fishing port is bustling with activity. This is the octopus, a specialty of Usuya Fishing Port. It’s 900 yen for this size. A rare delicacy: the gills (respiratory organs) inside the octopus’s scallop head. It looks ugly, but it tastes like octopus. The texture was very interesting and delicious. It was fresh and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed Usuya Fishing Port. From here, we headed for Otaru City. It’s about 155km to Otaru City. The Ororon Line, running south, is amazing! The views of the ocean and Mount Shokanbetsu are beautiful. Please bear with me for a moment as I watch the video. We arrived in Otaru, the final city of this trip. We departed Otaru Port at 11:30 PM. Since we had some time before departure, we made a detour to the port. Now, we arrived at our first stop. This is a biker spot in Otaru City, a photo from two years ago . On the wall inside the restaurant, there were coasters signed by YouTubers. Mine was also on display. Two years ago, when I wrote this, I had 14 subscribers. This was my last meal in Hokkaido . Kita Togarashi Honten, a local recommendation! A restaurant serving delicious Genghis Khan. They offer an all-you-can-eat option, but I ordered individual items. I ordered raw lamb and non-alcoholic beer. Cheers. Raw lamb, bean sprouts, and onions. So delicious! The smell was irresistible! First, just the meat, then with bean sprouts, and finally, chili peppers to change the flavor. I ordered some more raw lamb! It was a very satisfying meal. I wanted some beer! Now, we head to the ferry terminal for our return trip. The time has come to bring our fun trip to Hokkaido to an end. The weather was bad for the first half of the trip, but the point of traveling is to enjoy it no matter what the circumstances. We are grateful that we were able to complete our trip without any trouble this year as well. We check in to board the Shin Nihonkai Ferry at Otaru Port . We have our boarding tickets. The total distance traveled in Hokkaido was 2,086 km. Hokkaido! Thank you again this year!
