พร้าว เชียงใหม่ อำเภอเล็ก ๆ ที่หลายคนยังไม่รู้จัก | VLOG
A district in Chiang Mai that many people may not be familiar with , or may not even have heard of. It’s a day-o Daylight, come and we want to go home ! Oh, Brother Log! But this place hides a wonder. Because in the middle of the dam, there is a giant tree that is still standing and very beautiful. And during the high water level, these trees are surrounded by water , creating an unseen image that cannot be seen anywhere else. This district is not full of famous landmarks like elsewhere. Instead, it is filled with nature, tranquility, small communities, and a Chiang Mai atmosphere from a perspective that many people may not have experienced before. This is Phrao District, Chiang Mai Province. This time in Chiang Mai, we traveled to Phrao District . In Phrao District, there is a community that specializes in mangoes. However, one problem they face is an oversupply of mangoes. The community has collaborated with PTT to solve this problem. But how do they solve this problem? We’ll take a look. And I think many of you may have seen or tried these products before. Hello everyone, welcome to Go Went Go. I’m in Chiang Mai again now. I come here very often. But this time, we’re going to Phrao District. Many of you may have seen the viral thing online. These days, it’s like a place to go sit on a landmark, take a boat, or admire the trees. We’ll try going there and we’ll also visit other places in Phrao District. We’ll drive there. Phrao District is a district located in the north of Chiang Mai Province. In local dialect, it’s called Muang Pao . There are two legends about the origin of the name Phrao. The first legend says that the word Pao comes from the word to announce and recruit soldiers . Going back to the time of King Mangrai, the king who once ruled what is now Chiang Rai, he once raised his army and camped in this area to gather troops and supplies before continuing his march. Another legend says that Phrao actually comes from the word for coconut. This is because this area is a plain surrounded by mountains on all sides. It looks like a coconut with a hard shell. I believe that many of you may not be familiar with Phrao District. This place may not have many famous landmarks, but I think it has another kind of charm because Phrao… This is an area where local people actually live and it is also home to many ethnic groups such as Lisu, Lahu, and Muser. This allows us to see Chiang Mai in a different perspective than we are used to. And it’s not like Phrao doesn’t have any places to visit. In fact, there are many interesting places here, especially the place I’m about to take everyone to. I tell you, this is one of the real unseen places . We’ve arrived. This is Mae Pang Camping. This is the Mae Ngad Dam. Now, there is what they call a rain tree . But here, they call it a Chamcha tree. Because recently, the water level has risen, so they have organized a boat trip to see it. It’s very beautiful. If we come around sunset, there is a park side and we can get off at this side. It should be a community enterprise. We can go up there as well. Now we’ve arrived at the landing. Actually, there’s not much water today. They said that if you want to see the flooding, you have to come in December. At first, my team and I asked the officials. They said it was flooded. But when we actually arrived, it wasn’t flooded. We had to walk in because normally the boat should be able to reach the inside. But now that we’re here, let’s take a look at what it’s like when there’s no flooding. That is, when the water rises… He said it would probably go up there, up there. And if it’s in the evening, it would probably be more beautiful. Right now it’s 4 p.m., actually, like 5 or 6 p.m. I think the light is beautiful. Yenjit , Jubjang , Uengai, Earthark. Day-o, is a day-o. Oh, there’s a checkpoint . This is the toll collection checkpoint. Oh, it’s in the middle of the water. Oh, 30 baht . We’ve arrived. This is when there’s no water . The water hasn’t risen much yet. It will become an island up here. That means when there’s a lot of water, the tree will be submerged in the water. But if it’s during a normal period like when we come, it’s like we ’re just taking a boat to the island. Many people will ask what are you coming to see ? But in reality, this tree is very beautiful. It’s a very beautiful rain tree. But the point is, if it were underwater and surrounded by water, it would be even more beautiful. That’s the point. So, if you come during a month when the water isn’t high, you’ll see something like this. This is when there’s no water. What is this big tree you see now ? It’s a rain tree , or as many people know it, a rain tree. It’s a tree located at the end of the Mae Ngad Dam. The unseen thing about this place is that normally, this tree looks like it’s growing in the middle of the water because it’s been flooded by the dam. The reason it’s here is because in the past, this area used to be a village called Ban Mae Tong. Then, when the dam was built, the water level rose, so the villagers had to relocate to another area. Leaving only the champaca tree that still stands to this day. But in reality, the champaca tree has very strong roots. It can withstand standing water and floods very well. So it is not strange that it is still standing beautifully like this. To come and see this tree, we have to take a boat. There are 2 boarding points on both sides. The first side is the Phrao district side , where there are many piers to choose from. The other side is the Sri Lanna National Park side. If you intend to come and see the champaca tree specifically, we recommend going from the Phrao side as it is closer. But if you want to be sure whether the water has reached the tree or not, you can call to check with the park first. Because the water level in the dam changes all the time. It does not flood the champaca tree every season. And like when I came, there was no flooding this time because the dam itself had just released water. Just a few days ago. Even so, the surrounding atmosphere is still beautiful and very worthwhile. It is magnificent, which means that the tree is very strong. It has been underwater for months and is comfortable now. When the water floods the dam, there are still traces of moisture here. And that is the stagnant water. During high tide, this is where you’ll see a lot of trees. They’ll all be submerged. I mean, not the whole tree, but the parts of the trunks will be beautifully above the water. The boat here costs 700 baht to charter. It can seat up to 3 people. If there are 2 of you, it will be 700 baht. But if you come alone, it will be 700 baht as well . But what I recommend is to check first if there is flooding. If there is, you’ll get this feeling instead. It’s like an island with grass and very beautiful trees. Very big trees. Let’s go, everyone. Let’s go to our accommodation. Okay , this is Rock Onsen. It’s an accommodation. The entrance looks beautiful. It’s an accommodation that you might have to walk up a bit of a hill. Today, we’ll sleep here and have dinner here. Let’s greet the staff first. Hello, hello. Please come inside. Inside. The accommodation is inside. Yes, sir. A familiar face . There’s a sign. Onsen House, Waterfall. There’s a waterfall too . Let’s shout out together “Wilson” (beautiful view). Wow, the view of the rice fields is very beautiful. This is the bed. There are clothes to change into. There’s a refrigerator. There’s a coffee maker. Okay , and then we’ll take a look at this. The bathroom. Okay, it ‘s beautiful. And then from the room, you walk down to a stream. It flows through. And then there’s the beautiful rice fields . Oh, yes. Oh, it’s only this room that has this . Yes, this is the onsen block. This room has a pool for us to soak in the water. Nature . If you don’t believe it, you have to try turning on the water and see. For our accommodation on this trip, we’ll sleep at Rock Onsen. It ‘s located on a cliff next to the rice fields. It’s quite private accommodation because there are only 3 houses. The rooms blend in with nature. The interior is decorated in a modern style. In fact, every room has a private onsen pool. As for the price, it starts at 4,500 baht including breakfast . If anyone wants to order additional food, they also offer additional services such as local food sets and barbecue. But if anyone wants to travel to Phrao District and wants accommodation with a beautiful view like this, try coming here. The weather here isn’t very hot. It gets cool as soon as it gets late. This is where we walk to eat. The accommodation allows you to order barbecue. According to the recipe , barbecue is already a ready-made recipe. At all the accommodations in Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai, they all have barbecue. Another one is local food. We chose local food and ordered some more. Normally, a local food set menu will have about 5 dishes , but we ordered more to make everyone full. Let’s come to the food. Let’s order a local food set menu. Starting with this, Laab Kua . Wow, this Laab Kua was made a while ago because we were busy taking pictures. Nam Prik Ong. I don’t really like Nam Prik Ong, so I’ll have Nam Prik Num instead. I’m so happy. What is this? Hang Le Gang, Hang Le Wanga. Beef or pork? It should be pork. It ‘s sweet. Overall, it’s delicious. But if anyone wants to eat moo krata, actually, you can sit at the waterfall and they also have moo krata . But if anyone wants to eat local food, you can order that as well. They will mainly have 5 dishes: Gaeng Om, Gaeng Hang Le, Nam Prik, Kap Moo, Laab, and / I think it ‘s a spicy curry. And this is another one, Naem. Let’s go try it. Let’s go eat . Eat your fill. I’m going to bed first. Right now, the atmosphere is dark. See you in the morning. Let’s see if the front of our house will be beautiful in the morning. Let’s go . Good morning. It’s morning. And breakfast is just right. Here it is. This is the breakfast set at the accommodation. And now. We’re going to the Nong Krok Community Enterprise , a local specialty : mangoes. However, the problem is that mangoes are oversupplying, which has led to a decline in the value of mangoes. PTT has joined the community in solving this problem by processing mangoes and adding value, eventually creating a brand called Pan Suk. Currently , they offer three products: mango jelly, mango meringue, and mango waffles. Let’s take a look at how these delicious mangoes turned into delicious treats. I’ll give you a taste of their flavor later. Right now, near our accommodation, we’re stopping by the Nong Krok Community Enterprise. They have a lot of mangoes here, and with so many of them, they’ve processed them into various products. Let’s take a look at how they do it. If you’re looking to buy some, you can do so here. Or if you’re already visiting Nong Krok, you can buy them here. Or if you’re in Chiang Mai, they’re also available at Central Festival. If you’re visiting, buy this. Oh, they have cute packaging! Is this made from mangoes? This is the package they made. It has jelly, waffles, and meringue. Oh , I see. They sell these in the mall. I didn’t know the community produced them. Let’s take a look at the production process. It smells so good. They’re making waffles. Oh, so we have to make them into circles ourselves because the inside is just a square grid. That means we can make a big one, right? Yes, if we put a lot in, we’ll make a big sheet. Right? What’s in this meringue? Is this an egg? No, we don’t put egg whites. This is mango. Yes, this is mango. This is water, frosted water, it’s the foam filter. We don’t use egg whites. Some people are allergic to eggs, so they put this in first . Here it is. Actually, I just ate it a moment ago. They’re freshly made. The fresh ones are delicious. But let’s eat the ones that are already made and packaged. Try them . They’re not so sweet. They’re not overly sweet. Even people who don’t eat sweets can eat them. When we saw this, we had to blend them. In the past, they , the mothers, intentionally shaped them into mangoes. But it takes a long time. You can tell by looking. / It takes time. It’s a lot of work. / If you poke one at a time, it takes a long time. Oops, it melted away. I don’t believe it. It’s like eating air. Just kidding . Actually, it has to be very fluffy. The last one is jelly, packets within packets. Wow, this is a very youthful package. This one is delicious. You have to put it in the fridge to keep it cool and refreshing. If anyone wants to try the real thing, you can stop by this way. Or go to Central Festival Chiang Mai , which is a community. They said that around June, there will be a lot of mangoes. Sometimes, there are so many that they don’t sell all of them, you know? Normally, if you keep them, they will spoil and rot . So they have to change them, process them, to make them last longer , to become the products that we see. PTT has come to help, supporting, providing knowledge and various other things to change and turn them into the products that we see here. Come here, Bamboo Spa, it’s right next door. Wow, the inside is very beautiful . The outside looks like a normal house. When you walk through to the back, wow , there’s a menu. Oil massage, scrubs, Thai massage, foot massage, herbal steam, onsen baths, onsen foot baths, and even body baths? And there’s food to order. Oh, and the massage room is very beautiful. It’s a massage in the middle of nature, everyone. This is a stream, right? Flowing through. Wow, beautiful, very well done. Everyone looks like they put in a lot of longans. Wow, this is really good. The longan juice is really good . We will have spa massages, onsen baths , and here, it’s like they have Khantoke food as well. Let’s go and try it out . And if you have a chance to visit Phrao District, another activity I would like to recommend is the spa here called Bamboo Forest Spa. It is located in the Ban Nong Krok community. The highlight is that we will get to do a spa in the middle of nature. The atmosphere is quiet like this. The main activities here include health massages, herbal steams, onsen baths. The special thing is that the water used is mineral water from natural hot springs that are piped into the community. The water temperature is around 50-60 degrees Celsius, which is considered perfect for relaxation. In addition to spa services, if you want to try local food, they also provide that. This time, we will try massages. Soak your feet in the hot spring here. It ‘s so comfortable because the sound of water is behind you. It hypnotizes you and makes you fall asleep. Great. It ‘s a little hot , but bearable. / You can bear it. I soak often . Is it hot? It’s comfortable. And of course, good things like this won’t be kept to myself. Earth came. And then they came. And one day they came. I feel her. It ‘s not hot. If you don’t believe me, try it. Go down. Don’t come and kiss me. But if you don’t believe it’s really hot, kiss. No, what? I believe you. I want to soak my whole body in this place. This place has natural hot springs. And then they connect pipes out here and it’s like an onsen, right? And you can soak your feet. Wow, that’s great. They’ll check the temperature first. I think this one is similar to an onsen in Japan, a little less hot. But because our country is already hot, I think this one is just right for our weather. They also have rice, a khantoke set meal. All done. This is the bamboo spa. Wow, it’s so beautiful inside. The massage is comfortable. The bath is also comfortable. The food is delicious . I really like it. If anyone comes, please come. And here, there’s also a homestay. You can stay overnight. This is it. This is nature like this. The local way of life. Let’s go find a coffee shop to sit and eat. Let ‘s go , everyone. We’ve arrived at Siri Mueang Phrao. It’s a community that doesn’t look like it has any shops. But when you get there, there’s this shop. It’s a very nice shop. Let’s follow the person in front from Pigkaploy channel . Yes , there are owls. When we travel to other provinces recently, we’ll see that many areas have been developed to be more like communities for the people in the community. Phrao District itself has a place like that as well. This is Siri Muang Phrao. The beginning of this place is quite interesting. The owner was a writer who used to work in Bangkok. But one day, he decided to return to his hometown and create something that would benefit the community. His first step was to build a small library so that locals could access books and knowledge. From that library, it evolved and developed into Siri Muang Phrao, which now houses a restaurant, cafe, gallery, and organic garden. If you have the chance to visit Muang Phrao, I highly recommend that you give it a try. Wow, it’s so well done. Look at this! This is the Siri classroom. It’s like a learning space. And there’s a gallery. Wow, that’s so nice . Here are temples, mountains , and chedis . Wow, it’s so cute. It has intricate layers. And there’s a walkway across the water. This is the Mamuji zone. There are tarot cards. Oh, and they sell cute things. And behind you, everyone, you can walk through to Siri Garden. Wow, look at the garden. This is a garden. Oh, it’s a very wide garden . You can see rice fields. It’s so beautiful. Everyone, come and visit. This place is really good. All done up. And this is Phrao District. Actually, there are many more tourist attractions. What I want to tell everyone is that we have to check carefully. When going to see the rain tree in the middle of the water , you have to be like, “Wow!” and double-check a bit. But it’s okay. Actually, even if it’s not submerged, it’s still beautiful. But I think if it were submerged, it would feel very unseen. And as everyone has seen, PTT has helped solve the problem and has collaborated with the Nong Krok Community Enterprise. From useless land, it has become valuable. And this year, PTT is going to expand the market to both Thai and international tourists. I can tell you that the community will also have more income and will be able to grow together sustainably. If anyone is interested and wants to try Pansuk brand products from the Nong Krok Community Enterprise, you can ask for more details and order at the address we have provided now. Here it is. Go order. The mangoes are very delicious. Let’s support the community. And if anyone comes to visit, you can stop by at various points. Phrao District is also interesting. There are beautiful accommodations as well. They are surrounded by nature. There are places to visit. Let ‘s meet. If anyone likes this clip, don’t forget. Please like, share, and subscribe to Skype. Bye -bye.
