Hello, I’m Emi. I’m heading to the Yatsugatake Mountains in Nagano Prefecture. As soon as I got on the Shuto Expressway, I realized I’d left something very important behind. This is my first time camping for three days and two nights, and I’ve forgotten my backpack containing my makeup and a change of clothes . For some reason, I only brought my pajamas… I ended up having to buy a lot of things along the way, and the emotional and financial damage almost crushed me, but I tried to be glad that I hadn’t forgotten my tent. Arrived at the campsite. I checked in early (500 yen per person). I also used a site called Duck Pond last time. There are three sites, and you can choose the one you like in order of earliest arrival. The last time I used the site in the middle, which is the most popular, so I’ll use this site this time. Cars are not allowed at Duck Pond. However, this site is close to the parking lot and can essentially be used as an auto site We’re staying for 3 days and 2 nights, so a location close to the car seems convenient Rain is forecast to start falling later today We brought a coody which is highly livable (at my husband’s strong request) My husband said he will be using a manual pump to set up the tent the fastest it has ever been I wonder if it had been beeping until now? About 4 minutes and 20 seconds, the fastest so far All that’s left is to secure the tent with stakes I bought mesh windows for the entrance and exit of the air tent, so I’m going to replace them with TPU The plan is to use the mesh to improve ventilation on hot days We’re at a high altitude so it’s not that hot Mesh panels are lighter than TPU, so maybe we’ll just use these panels when it’s hot Let’s go out and play once we’ve finished setting up I forgot some clothes and other personal belongings, so I need to go buy some… I forgot something last time too, so I need to be careful! I’m planning to stay in Yatsugatake for 3 days and 2 nights, so I looked up the area around Yatsugatake. There are so many tourist spots, art museums, and delicious restaurants 3 days and 2 nights just wasn’t enough. It’s Obon season, so there will probably be a lot of tourists, but I’m going to go and have fun. Since I’m staying for multiple nights, I’ll use a portable refrigerator. It’s the first time I’ve used a cigarette lighter socket. I’m looking forward to using it♫ I’ve arrived at Makiba. I’ve been to Makiba Park more than 10 years ago. Entry is free. I looked for a place to have lunch, but because it’s Obon season, all the places I wanted to go were fully booked (I should have made a reservation). I played with the sheep for a while. There is a restaurant here in Makiba Park, so I’ll go and check it out. The horse my husband is betting on is not popular, but it is running well. He bet on a parlay, so it had to come in second or better, but it came in third and lost. If I had bet on the wide bet I would have won, but I decided to bet on the horse pair I’ll use my frustration as motivation to move forward next time I have an ice cream snack Thanks to the portable refrigerator I can eat ice cream whenever I want I take a short walk over to the reception desk From the other side of the pond I asked about the breakfast menu which starts at 8am, but… They’re fully booked so the earliest they can serve you is after 9am Around 9am is too late for us, so we gave up The shop at the reception desk also sells alcohol A wide selection of craft beers! When we were unsure, the staff member explained things to us in detail It seems my husband decided on a beer from “Manchin Brewery” that has a pineapple and tropical fruit flavor Firewood used to be sold by weight, but now we buy it in bundles Rain is forecast for tomorrow and the day after tomorrow I’ll keep the beer chilled I ate a bit of the ice cream I was eating and put it back in the fridge I looked up what time it would start raining and it looks like it will be around 1am I brought a small tarp with me so we decided to set it up The site was big enough so a bigger tarp might have been better I brought the fridge inside too It was freezing cold inside the fridge How does it taste? The appearance really gets me excited♫ It was an incredibly delicious and happy morning Afterwards, we stopped off at a hot spring and relaxed After buying some of the things I had forgotten, we headed towards the area around Kiyosato Station We stopped off at a second-hand clothing store Once again, we found ourselves struggling for lunch and by chance came across a great restaurant My husband had some craft beer again While we were waiting for lunch and predicting the results of Sunday’s horse racing… A customer who had been having lunch just a moment ago decided to play the piano (What a stylish turn of events!!!) He called out to us, saying “Excuse me for a moment,” and then began playing And it was stylish jazz (we think) He played without looking at the sheet music (amazing!) Amidst the wonderful music, our delicious-looking lunch arrived A gorgeous lunch plate! Two types of bread are also included (this bread was also delicious) The day I came across a wonderful shop for both breakfast and lunch I wonder if I could eat outside if it was sunny? Thank you for the meal! There was a Moegi Village nearby so I dropped in I had heard of it but this was my first time there I wandered around for a bit before heading back to the campsite I picked up a portable charger at the reception I bought a T-shirt with a casual illustration at a second-hand clothing store There is Sunday horse racing today, so please bear with me for a bit The horse I am rooting for is in a good position over the 1800m distance. I bet 500 yen on the win and won! Combined with yesterday’s, the balance was negative… 😢 Time for a bonfire to change the mood My husband bought some craft beer at Moegi no Mura He seems to have become completely addicted to fruity craft beer “Rockweizen” – the pinnacle of white beer I just bought some meat at Yatsuren on my way home Yesterday they were selling sliced ​​pork thighs but they were sold out today They only had large pieces of beef A simple dinner of grilled meat wrapped in lettuce Lettuce was really cheap!
