Lo PASÉ MUY BIEN! Hotel MYSTAYS SAPPORO ASPEN en ESTACIÓN SAPPORO JAPÓN
Hello everyone, welcome! I am Ariel Cruz Pizarro and today I will tell you about my experience at the MyStays Sapporo Aspen Hotel, a 4-star hotel in Japan. MyStays is a major hotel chain in Japan with more than 170 hotels and various brands. Wednesday, November 27, 2024. After a luxury trip on the Shinkansen from Tokyo, I tried all the seat categories of this bullet train, the E5 Shinkansen series. I arrived in Hakodate and from Hakodate I took the Hokuto train to get to Sapporo. I spent the whole day traveling and even got to know a little about the Sapporo subway. I had 3 reasons to schedule this hotel. You can walk to Sapporo station. It is 300 meters , one block away. You have access to an underground gallery , even easier. It was cheaper than other hotels in the area and had very good reviews on the internet. I arrived on foot from the subway from Kita Juni Jo. There I finished my walk on the subway and I was very surprised when I was finally able to get to this wonderful hotel that I am going to show you. We will see the hotel spaces later. They gave me the Room 818 there are instructions on where everything is inside the building, we’ll see them. And the coupon for the breakfast buffet, which we’ll also see later. I’m going to give you the complete tour of the hotel so you can see what a hotel in Japan from this MyStays chain is like. My room 818 opens with a key card. Upon entering, the room is dark and we have to put the card in the receiver to activate the electricity in the room. This is the Standard Double room with 2 beds. 25 square meters. It is a very spacious room with 2 beds. The room was very nice, well presented, without the smell of cigarettes , clean air. It is important to notice this because in Japan you often read or see that the rooms are small or that they have a lot of tobacco smell. I received this room impeccable, it was just as you are seeing it, very good. Starting the tour, we see a closet, I’m going to open it. Inside we have coat racks, a spray for the smell of clothes as a clothes air freshener. And downstairs we have flip-flops and slippers to move around the room along with a shoe rack. Think of the classic Japanese executive hotel as a hotel for people of business This is a mirror, very nice and large This is the bathroom room I have a private bathroom This is a preview it is a panoramic view of the private bathroom that we will see in great detail later Of the highlights we have a smart toilet tub with shower in general good spaces Let’s see the detail of the bed It should be a queen size bed in Western or Chilean terms Of pillows something classic Japanese is that you have a large soft pillow very nice and very rich and there is another pillow that is super hard and that seems like a stick The mattress is firm, but nice I was able to sleep super well On the nightstand we have an old telephone with several specific functions of the hotel some small sheets of paper and pencil to take notes From here I have control of the lights in the room that is good because it is close at hand from the bed there is a fun light that works under the desk I have a conventional 110 volt plug, type A that I used to charge the camera batteries In the nightstand I have an empty drawer I have a space underneath and this is a flashlight for emergencies. Here I have a lamp. There are many lamps in the room and this is an air purifier. The window is stuck closed, impossible to open. This is mostly for security and air conditioning. Most hotels in Japan have windows like this that are stuck or open very little. In this room, I have armchairs as well as a chair for the desk. We are going to explore the desk. In the blue bag, there is a cable with USB-C, micro USB, and other standard connections. It’s like a power adapter cable . It works for iPhones, cameras, cell phones, consoles, and various devices. This elegant notebook has all the information about the hotel. Everything is super well presented in Japanese and English, easy to understand. This is a computer cable, I don’t know its actual function , and there is a laundry bag. We look at brochures. The hotel sells on-demand movies. It has a complete explanation of the remote control and the channels you can watch, as well as other restaurant brochures. What I like is that everything has an explanation. I think they receive a lot of tourists who don’t know how to express themselves in Japanese. On the desk, we have disposable tissues. It indicates that you cannot smoke. And something curious The thing about this MyStays hotel is that it has aromatherapy and you can also schedule a massage session, which would have been super useful. On the desk, and you are watching me, we have another mirror that is also super pretty. I have other plugs that I also used for other camera batteries. Recording uses a lot of electricity. Now we see a small trash can. And we also have a nice painting of the nature of Hokkaido. Below the desk, we have a minibar , just a refrigerator, no freezer. And here we have a set of cups, glasses, spoons, and infusions. Below is the kettle with its cable and something for the cutlery. This is a folding floor to sit on, quite comfortable and simple. We have a heated room with a thermostat, I have it at 24° Celsius and outside it must be like 2°. Sapporo is super cold. Something interesting and fun to watch in Japan is television, especially because of the cultural differences or things that draw one’s attention to otherness. What we watch is the Room Theater feature , which is hotel content that you pay for separately . Movies, animations, varieties, and adult stuff. But, as I read the instructions for the remote control, we will watch normal television, the open channels, not I don’t know if I should call it open TV but in each city the open channels were different. While zapping I found a version of Talking Places but Japanese it was a super relaxing program in which a very pretty Japanese girl presented places, interviewed people she seemed very nice and the places were as beautiful as her And also fortunately I caught one of the most curious things I saw a program “call now” but it sells clothes In Japan they sell and model clothes on television in this way hahaha The hotel also offers wifi internet I tested it using one of my Youtube videos it worked quite well the video could be seen fluidly with the subtitles, everything super normal Continuing with the tour In the bathroom I also have plugs I used them to charge my cell phone and a power bank The bathroom mirror is quite large it covers the entire wall super nice, I look very nice also self-esteem … hahaha We have glasses and hand soap which is super nice foam soap Sink with hot and cold water Next to me I have toothbrushes tissues hair dryer In this place I have the body towels for the shower and in this other corner I have the hand towels for the bathroom I have a sanitary bag that is for feminine napkins that kind of things and although there is a trash can the paper is usually thrown down the toilet in Japan it is the custom The cable tells us that this toilet is smart, electric the well-known and famous Japanese toilet It is an intelligent toilet or washlet Inax from the Lixil group, Japanese manufacture the green light tells us that it is on At first glance it looks like a normal bathroom We have a manual chain to flush the toilet And the interesting thing are the functions With this button I heat the toilet seat, the one above is to clean the nozzle These are to regulate the water jet, the force of the jet and the functions on the side are so that the water jet cleans your bottom That is the grace of the intelligent Japanese toilets, they have a bidet and they throw warm water at you to clean And to the maybe I have two rolls of toilet paper and obviously I can ask for more We see the tub has a drain on the side I don’t know if you can see it We have handrails to hold on to The shower is with a thermostat throughout Japan I’ve always seen these thermostats the water always comes out at a stable temperature I want this in my house Someday I will put it And here the jet comes out depending on how you press it If you turn the key down the water will come out through the key that we are seeing it comes out downwards And in order to use the shower we have to turn the same key but upwards It is difficult to do this with one hand and recording but you understand The shower is super nice the water feels like a super rich caress, spectacular Finally to bathe we have shampoo conditioner and soap in these elegant bottles Everything super good, super good I made the reservation on Booking.com 8,900 yen rounding up 56-58 dollars for a Standard Double Room for non-smokers and with breakfast included A surprising price The surprise is because it was the cheapest hotel of my entire trip to Japan most were over 100 dollars per night and This hotel cost about 56, almost half, very cheap. In itself, the MyStays Sapporo Aspen hotel has several types of rooms with the names that appear on Booking. It is a super large hotel. And we will see the one I had for 1 night. We see the map of the 8th floor. There are 30 rooms on this floor. We will see the common areas of the hotel. Here we have 4 elevators. It seems like a good number thinking about the people of the hotel. In the elevator we see that there are 13 floors. The second floor has banquet halls. Now we go to the first floor. The elevator is nice. First of all , the reception space is huge. When I arrived , I thought the hotel would be super basic because it was very cheap , and what a tremendous surprise it was to find all this space and elegance as a first impression. I felt like Home Alone during this stay in Home Alone. Here we have common areas. There is parking that I didn’t see because I don’t have a car. This here is a mobile device charging station but also with a desk I imagine it as a workspace. In Japan, there are a lot of these. These are designated smoking spaces. You can only smoke in dedicated spaces , not on the street or in public spaces. This is a vending machine, one of the self-service machines to buy things. They accept contactless credit cards among many means of payment. There are various types of hot and cold drinks and in the detail it says IC. When it says IC, it means you can pay with public transport cards. These are other common spaces, there is the luggage cart. And the reception is super nice. I loved the hotel and the staff that served me was super friendly. Actually, I was fascinated by this hotel. I am enjoying making this video. I took pictures of it. At the reception, there are several amenities, the most visible are the security safes. Next to it, there is a currency exchange machine, it is self-service and accepts different types of currency. In some drawers you could take out many things. These are facial lotions. These are packaged razors. Arrive and use them. There are also shower caps. Cotton swabs. the ears, wands, swabs have several names Here we have small combs I think you can see the shape of the combs These are other body towels but they are not gender they are to exfoliate the body they are rough towels There were hair collets scrunchies, coles also have other names And all that you take out when you need it is included you arrive and take out At reception they also help you with the luggage shipping service with Airporter you can send your bags to another city to another hotel On the outside and also inside the first floor of the hotel has 2 restaurants At the time I arrived at the hotel I could not enter because they were closing I arrived when they were finishing the shift They are 2 restaurants in one because one sector is Spanish cuisine with paellas, tapas, wines in Sapporo, in Japan and the other sector is traditional Japanese food with sake, seafood This is an ornament inside the hotel, very nice In the presentation it said that the 4th and 10th floors had microwaves and ice machines Several floors had these vending machines or drink machines and the 5th floor had Laundry available 24/7 but I didn’t record that one because I didn’t use it Nearby I found a 7 Eleven store and bought all this for dinner For 1,076 yen I have bread with egg, super yummy A piece of cheesecake, impeccable Rice onigiri with grilled salmon the plate that I heated in the microwave and I have a yuzu soda with lemon very sour hahaha These are noodles with sauce and melted cheese this 7 Eleven food is so delicious I would eat this every day and I wouldn’t get bored I even miss it To close the night, we have pajamas It is a complete one-piece pajama , very comfortable and easy to use I loved it, I liked it very nice very good night to you all hahaha In the Super Map the link to this map is in the description of each video this hotel is precisely in the location of the MyStays Sapporo Aspen Hotel In Tokyo, within what I saw there are several MyStays hotels but they appear with 3 stars they should be a little more basic And 4 stars they have one in Akasaka and Hamamatsucho A huge thank you to the channel members who give a Super Thank you to the subscribers . I am a writer and book editor, thanks to everyone who supports my work, I have been able to come so far, really far , thank you very much. One of the most wonderful things about this hotel is the breakfast buffet between 6:30 and 10:00 for 2,090 yen, about 13 dollars , and I had it included in my hotel reservation with the price I initially gave them. For breakfast, I also didn’t record anything, I took pictures of everything , but I didn’t want to bother anyone. It was a large room with many tables, everything was super nice. I stayed at a solitary table overlooking the street, super fun. I could see the cars passing by, the street, it was wonderful to be able to eat with this view. Outside it was cold, 4° Celsius in the morning, high 8°, low -2°. It was a super hearty breakfast, with that, I lasted all day until Tokyo. Choosing this hotel was a blessing. Upon entering the room, you had a self-service coffee machine, alcohol gel to sanitize your hands. And be patient because we will see everything that was in the breakfast buffet. For To drink, we have another coffee machine in the middle of the room. Next to it, we have coffee cream or fresh coffee and we have sugar. For infusions, we have tea, roasted tea, green tea. We can serve ourselves hot water . We have cups and cutlery. For curious things, there were glasses and bottles of red and white wine. Both bottles were Chilean Magna Carta wine from the Maule Region. I don’t drink alcohol, but I had a little red wine to celebrate having a little piece of Chile here in Japan. And you could also serve yourself at no extra cost. You just arrive and serve yourself. To drink, we have natural juice dispensers: orange juice, apple juice, tomato juice, vegetable juice. The other dispensers have cow’s milk from Hokkaido and a probiotic exclusive to the area . Note that Sapporo is in Hokkaido , and this island has many high-quality agricultural products . For things to eat, we have an egg, bacon, and sausage omelet. This is a closer look at the egg omelet , super delicious. There are chicken nuggets , homemade fries from Hokkaido, local potatoes. We have minced meat croquettes, fried shrimp, and spaghetti. with Bolognese sauce, tomato sauce, and ground beef, delicious. For cereal, there was a granola dispenser and another with brown rice. Something very curious was also vanilla ice cream and strawberry ice cream for breakfast. These are matcha cakes. Matcha is used a lot in Japan. Continuing with desserts, we have apple and caramel, opera cake, crepe cake. For Asian things, we started with some glasses of natto, it is made with fermented soybeans. We have seasoning for Chinese sauce. This covered pot has pieces of fried chicken, they call it karaage there. This other covered pot has tofu made at the hotel. This was next to the tofu, I don’t know what things they are, but it was there. This tray has meat and potatoes cooked over low heat. This is a grilled mackerel fish, also called mackerel, it is exquisite. From the sea, we have salmon roe in soy sauce, pink shrimp , chopped tuna with green onion. Something that I love, steamed salmon with vegetables wrapped in aluminum foil, exquisite. The essential rice with the exception that says sushi rice. In another sector, we have Hokkaido rice , which must have a different preparation. We have wasabi a spicy Japanese condiment There are raw eggs and along with that we also have hard boiled eggs Another presentation is an omelet of short egg and boiled fish paste We have a pickled dish with squid kombu, herring roe pickled radishes with small eggplants cod roe There was hokkigai, a local seafood pickled squid with miso Another corner of the breakfast buffet had pastries with an oven to warm bread In pastries, we have chocolate breads croissants or croissants there was sesame bread cranberry walnut bread sweet bread Brioche There are butter knives butter, strawberry jam cranberry jam Next, in another section we have broccoli and we see Hokkaido fries again This contains a local venison curry soup deer yezo We are looking at salmon flakes kombu sweet soy and sesame sesame only, dried minnows There is mitsuba, similar to parsley pickled plums clam kimchi No I saw the name of these things but they are vegetables lol There were 3 soups: miso soup, miso ramen, and Sapporo-style miso ramen A fourth soup was pumpkin soup with soy milk To accompany the soups there was Chinese bamboo shoots, fried pork steaks , corn on the cob, sides Next to the pumpkin soup there were fried croutons For fruit, there were my favorite oranges and pineapples, I ate a lot This is a pot of natural yogurt We are looking at fried onions, bacon flavored bits There were Caesar salad dressings, Italian dressing, Japanese yuzu dressing, sesame dressing We are looking at pumpkin salad And finally we see several other salads like carrots, broccoli, etc. Thank you very much for the food arigatou gozaimasu Look, we are looking at the map of the MyStays Sapporo Aspen Hotel In the corner, where the square is, we have access to the Sapporo subway Do you see there are some red things? That is the network of underground galleries of the Sapporo station That, if you zoom out of the map you will see it with a slightly darker yellow color than the rest of the areas I checked out and we will see the same in practice I left the hotel, walked a bit and had this access to enter the underground galleries of Sapporo to enter the station Remember that it is a city that receives a lot of snow so, even if the weather is bad you can use these galleries and tunnels to move around to connect with the subway stations or the Sapporo train station and they also serve to access nearby shopping centers and other buildings Because they all have underground connections with these galleries you can live a normal life underground In my case, I went to know and tour more of the Sapporo subway before returning to Tokyo That was my stay at the Mystays Sapporo Aspen Hotel I hope you enjoyed it a lot thanks for tuning in may God bless you and have a very nice day I wish you the best bye, be very well!
