Walking Through Noborito – Sacred Colors and Forgotten Memorials | Japan Walk 【4K UHD】

Walk around Noborito Station Current location: Tama Ward, Kawasaki City We are in front of Komyoin Temple in Noborito. It was quite a walk from the bicycle rental stop. Please subscribe to our channel. We need your help to keep this channel running. It’s quite a showy temple. It’s glass. This is probably the best way to preserve it. The elephant’s tusks are falling off. This is the complete There is an old stone statue. Naturally, it must have originally been an old temple. Has it been renovated to a modern style? It’s not grass, it’s moss. Amazing. That alone seems expensive. Taishido Hall. Prince Shotoku is enshrined here. Because it is new, it is brightly colored, but apparently all temples are this color when they are newly built. When you look at restored images of old temples, shrines, and Buddhist temples, they are usually very colorful. I don’t know if it shows up in the footage, but there’s a spider web right in front of me. The colors are amazing. The transom carvings are gorgeous. There are also antique items on display. Next door is a kindergarten run by a new religious group. Noborito Inari Shrine What is this? A gargoyle? Is it Inari’s missing ear? They are war memorials, and are often enshrined at local temples and shrines. It reminds me of the Russo-Japanese War. There is a book by Nogi Maresuke. The main hall dates back to the mid-Showa period. Be careful not to step on it. The 15th year of the Tenpo era, 1844. First rank Fukutoku Inari Daimyojin It’s buried in a residential area. You can’t just remove something that’s been there for a long time. This is Goshanomiya Shrine There’s almost none left. The second year of the Bunka era. It was 1805. After the cornerstone? Next, Zenryuji Temple I guess only the main hall remains. It seems to be a famous temple, as it is mentioned in Wiki. In the past, farmers fought over the amount of water to put into the rice fields. Is this the only grave here? It would be a waste to have it in front of the station. It would be better to move it to the top of the hill. That being said, the renovations have been quite aggressive. I wonder if the surrounding land was originally temple property. They seem to be quite wealthy. Dry Landscape Style I imagine this is a curve in the road that also serves as a waterway. I see, this road is the Tsukui Road, an old road from the Edo period, and this area was once a bustling post town. If you’ve come this far, let’s go to the Tama River. I’ve photographed the Tama River a few times. On the opposite bank is Tokyo. A high school girl is looking down I’m heading to the station. Noborito Station has also changed. I can’t remember what it used to look like. This is the JR Nambu Line. It seems to be under development. There are many vacant lots. That’s all for today. Thank you for watching. Anywhere is fine. Get off at any station that comes to mind and walk around the area. The moment you get off the train, your little journey begins, picking up forgotten prayers and remnants of the city. This time, I walked around Noborito in Kawasaki City. Komyo-in Temple, where flashy colors and modern architecture blend together. In the moss-covered grounds, a colorful hall dedicated to Prince Shotoku stands, and an old stone statue is quietly placed there. Noborito Inari Shrine blends into the residential area, and Gosha-no-miya Shrine, with the inscription “”Bunka 2″” (1812), is carved on it. All of them are buried in the corners of history, but they have remained there without disappearing. At Zenryuji Temple, the memory of farmers fighting over water sleeps quietly in the back of the renovated main hall. The windings of the old road called Tsukuimichi continue like a dry landscape garden, and the flow of the Tama River, which I eventually reached, quietly reflected Tokyo on the opposite bank, beyond the hustle and bustle of the city. When I returned to Noborito Station, I found a vacant lot spreading out in the middle of redevelopment. Though the scenery has changed, only the dates carved into the stone and the terrain beneath our feet connect the past and the present.
