I went to Onomichi from Osaka for a two-day, one-night trip at the end of September! I’ve wanted to go to Onomichi for a few years now, so I was excited😆 First, I’ll have lunch at the famous Onomichi Ramen! It seems to be a popular restaurant, so I had to queue a bit to get in The char siu is amazing!! 🐖 The ramen with huge char siu arrived Hatsuonomichi ramen. It tastes like Chinese noodles and is delicious!! A lot of back fat! But it was surprisingly easy considering how it looked. Arrived at today’s lodging. It was quite a steep hill and I was already out of breath. It was before check-in time, so I left my luggage and headed down the hill again. I went to a cafe called “Houtei” that I had been interested in, located very close to the lodging. Unfortunately, it was fully booked. “Houtei” ” I’ll save that for the next time I come. I head towards the sea through the retro shopping street. The shopping street has a retro and nostalgic atmosphere, but it’s not run down at all and there are many interesting shops lined up. This is a famous former hot spring building.
It’s now operating as a xiaolongbao bar. This is also the famous Onomichi pudding! The retro shop is cute~ Let’s eat while we’re here Pumpkin pudding, pear sauce, kiwi sauce, etc.
There were some unusual varieties, but since it was my first time, I went for the standard “Onomichi pudding” The retro bottle is cute~ I ate it on a bench in front of the shop The pudding was rich and creamy, and it was delicious~ I want to eat it again~

There were cats even on the ground! Lots of “Fukuishi Cats”! A mysterious space with lots of cats painted on the stones and walls, greenery, and the sounds of nature. I met another cat. It’s huge! They look big, but they’re gentle and let me pet them. Both of their tails are about half the length of a normal cat’s, so maybe they’re family? It had become an idol spot before I knew it I went to another cafe in a renovated hotel that I had been interested in “LOG” is a lodging facility renovated from a former apartment

Eating and drinking are prohibited in the rooms, so if you want to eat or drink something, you can use the cafe area below as a lounge.
