From Rome to Rimini Pescara Layover time: 2 hours 30 minutes Let’s take a quick look around Pescara. Renaissance Square (Piazza della Rinascita) Pescara Beach (Spiaggia di Pescara) The Adriatic Sea is in front of you. Renaissance Square again There’s a small downtown area. About 4 and a half hours to Rimini A trip with a view of the Adriatic Sea Arrived in Rimini! Today’s accommodation: Hotel Arcangelo Spacious and clean room Clean bathroom This was a great value accommodation. Rimini is a coastal city. Let’s go to the sea. It takes about 5 minutes to the beach. Arrived at Rimini Beach! It’s quiet at night. Let’s go closer. Let’s go back. There’s a walking path. You can see the cathedral. Church of Saint Mary Help of Christians This church was built in the early 20th century. It’s quiet because it’s the off-season. The tram station is beautiful. I should eat a late dinner. If the weather is nice, it would be nice to take pictures. Bridge of Tiberius The Bridge of Tiberius was built 2,000 years ago. It’s a bridge built during the ancient Roman era. End of the town tour! Let’s go to the Bridge of Tiberius. There’s a big park. The bridge has Latin slabs from the ancient Roman era. A bridge with a history of 2,000 years From here, it is Rimini’s old town. Rimini was an ancient Roman port city. The old town is the busiest tourist area in Rimini. Cavour Square This is the square where the Rimini Palace, theater, and city hall are located. There is little water in the fountain. The fish market ‘Vecchia Pescheria’ built in 1747 Fishermen sold fish at stalls on both sides. Three Martyrs Square Palazzo Brioli with its 16th-century clock tower Church of the Paolotti Let’s go inside the church. This church was built on the site of a church destroyed during World War II. There was not much to see. There is a large building. Malatestiano Temple Malatestiano was a 15th-century lord of Rimini. Malatesta kneeling before St. Sigismund He remodeled this place, originally a cathedral, into a Renaissance style. However, construction was halted in 1460 due to his downfall. So this temple was left unfinished. Giotto’s Crucifixion (14th century) Unfinished temple. Interesting. Arch of Augustus Built in 27 BC to honor Augustus, the first emperor of Rome. Domus del Chirurgo A 2nd-century Roman house. Old Town Tour Ended! Rimini is a port city. Then let’s go see the port. There are so many boats. The port is starting to come into view. Rimini Marina There is a skywalk. There’s also a beach next to it. I like the calm scenery. Adriatic Sea I think this is the end. Enjoy the view of Rimini Port. It was a time of peace of mind.
