【福井観光】恐竜とグルメをめぐる旅で福井県勝山市と福井市を観光しました
Good morning, this is bien! I’m on a trip to Fukui. I’m going to sightsee in Katsuyama City, where the natural scenery is so beautiful. I was delighted to see the impressive dinosaur museum, which is surprisingly unknown. Eating rare lunches, devouring exquisite sushi , and savoring luxurious sweets.Enjoy your trip to Fukui until the end. Please watch till the end.Good morning. The third day of my 2-night, 3-day trip to Fukui has come to an end.And today I ‘m leaving Fukui.I just left Fukui and drove about an hour to head to the Dinosaur Museum in Katsuyama City.Yesterday and the day before yesterday. There was a lot of sightseeing along the coast, but today we’re mainly sightseeing at indoor facilities. There ‘s also a 25km expressway, so it looks like it’ll take about an hour. This is my first time in Fukui Prefecture, and there are so many sightseeing spots that it was difficult to schedule.I didn’t expect there to be so many tourist areas.Actually , Fukui Prefecture is so big that it was difficult to schedule.Actually , Tsuruga City in the south ? I wanted to try sightseeing, but I couldn’t do it in 3 days and 2 nights! So, this time we will focus on three areas: Sakai, Echizen, and Katsuyama. Just 20-30 minutes down the road, you will see the best scenery. The road is one lane like this, but since it is a weekday, it seems like you will be able to reach your destination smoothly without any traffic jams. Only 6km left! It was nice to see the Tateyama Mountain Range in Toyama, but the mountains here are so close that it has a great presence. It ‘s mid-March and it’s quite warm, but there’s a lot of snow left. It’s completely white, so I didn’t notice it for a moment, but when I got closer, it had a great presence. This is what the road to the dinosaur museum looks like. The roads are wide and the lanes are separated, so it was quite easy to drive. It was more crowded than I expected. The mountains in the background were also amazing.I discovered a dinosaur doctor.I entered the dinosaur museum when it opened.I arrived about 10 minutes before opening time, but there were already about 30 people in line.Tickets can be purchased on the day. You can buy it from a vending machine, but I think it’s safer to buy it online in advance.By the way, business hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Closed on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month.Admission to the permanent exhibition is 1,000 yen per adult. The permanent exhibition alone is a great way to learn about the world of dinosaurs, the science of the earth, and life. There are 3 zones and you can really enjoy this specimen. This specimen is assembled and displayed in a reconstruction of the production conditions at the time when the entire skeleton of Camarasaurus was discovered. It is an extremely valuable specimen with almost the entire skeleton preserved from head to tail.It is amazing to climb the stairs ! A powerful dinosaur will greet you. And it ‘s not just a moving dinosaur. This is different from a Tyrannosaurus rex ! Wow! Huge! It’s really big and amazing. This Omeisaurus is about 20 meters long.It looks like a walking building, but if you were actually in front of it, you’d see it.It ‘s still pretty big, but it’s 1.5 meters long.It ‘s scary enough. There are more moving dinosaurs than I expected , and it’s quite realistic. It looks very strong, and there are many kinds of dinosaurs . It seems that they are mainly divided into saurischians and ornithischians, and saurischians are said to be divided into two groups, and ornithischians are said to be divided into three groups.Incidentally , Brachiosaurus and others are said to be sauropods of the saurischians, and tyrannosaurs and the like are theropods of the saurischians. If you look at the bones, it feels more like a dinosaur. It ‘s fun to take a step back and look at the whole thing. Was it that big? It looks like a rhinoceros , a type of triceratops , and it’s so big that it can’t fit in. It ‘s amazing Jinyunperta sinensis. By the way, this dinosaur is a shield-like armored dinosaur of the ornithischian class. It looks kind of like a turtle. It’s called Blastoise. I feel like this was an ornithopod of the ornithischian species.I forgot a bit, sorry. Please go to the Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum and take a look.It ‘s amazing how these bones stand out.It ‘s one of the most terrifying bones in Fukui Prefecture. Dragon This place is exhibiting new species of dinosaurs that were actually discovered during excavations in Fukui Prefecture. It was announced as a new species in 2023.It ‘s an amazing bird when you look at it like this.Approximately 80% of the dinosaur fossils discovered in Japan are in Fukui Prefecture. This is one of the world’s three largest dinosaur museums, and by the way, the remaining two are in Canada and China. This place looks like something from the Emerald Game , like a jewelry corner , and there was also an exhibit like this. What is this? That it stayed like this This is amazing. It looks nothing but an artificial object. Brazil, the largest in the world . What’s over here ? It’s so big, I didn’t notice it. It ‘s amazing to think that it’s moving. Just walking around causes a lot of vibration. Then, when I looked up, there was a place like this. You can see how big it is from a distance. I thought it was a facility for children, but I came here alone as an adult. It might also be a hidden gem of a view spot that you can really enjoy.Next , we came to the Life History Zone.Is this a zone for plants and fossils ? From gills to lungsThe change from gill breathing to lung breathing is thought to have developed independently of landing. They didn’t evolve to land, but when underwater creatures that originally lived in low oxygen concentrations happened to come to land . Can land survive too? I didn’t notice it moving at all . Even now, whales are so big, I wonder if it’s possible for them to be this big. Archelon Ischyros, the largest sea turtle in history, with a total length of 4 meters. Taro Urashima rode on this. The section about creatures that are said to have lived in the sea was also quite a sight to see. Very difficult name. This is an early archosaur with a very large head compared to its body length. Is this something like a deer? Moose? There was an exhibit here that shows the process of evolution. This is amazing. It ‘s like a mixture of all kinds of creatures. This is what it looks like, and this is what it looks like. The final form. From about 3 weeks to 6 months, it has a childish face, but suddenly at the age of 4, it becomes dignified and huge. It’s like a Fukuiraptor northern daniensis.About an hour has passed in an instant. This place is also an amazing space.Isn’t it an amazing structure? It’s nice to see the whole thing from here on the third floor. It ‘s amazing.By the way, there is also a souvenir shop and restaurant attached to it.Well , I spent about an hour and 20 minutes looking at it.You can enjoy the permanent exhibition alone for about an hour and a half.It was good.Surprisingly , you don’t have to be a child.Even adults can enjoy it. The good thing about this is that it doesn’t depend on the weather.I’m hungry after walking so much, so I think it’s time for lunch. No matter how many times I look at it, the mountains in the background are just spectacular.I came to a nearby roadside station.I decided to have it with the roadside station Dinosaur Valley Katsuyama Hamburger. The soba noodles are 700 yen and the chicken burger set is 1,400 yen.The Echizen soba noodles were firm and delicious. The noodles were quite firm and the chicken burger was ready.Fries and nuggets are also included.Raptor Burger Start with the nuggets. The nuggets are delicious! It’s been a long time since I’ve had a chicken burger.I was planning to eat at other places today, so I saved up on portions, but I think I can eat about 3 of these. The chicken is really good. When you come to Katsuyama roadside station, be sure to try the chicken burger. If you don’t want a hamburger, try the Echizen soba. The soba here is really delicious. There ‘s also a shop here, where they sell a variety of things. They also sell coffee beans! Frozen chocolate bananas from Ethiopia are also good.Rusk is also good.Let ‘s buy some pudding for dessert after the meal.It looks very spicy.Be careful, it’s very spicy.Wow , it’s amazing no matter how many times I’ve seen it.Is the Kuzuryu River nearby? I mean, there’s a river flowing, so let’s take a walk along the river. Before we walk along the river, we need to wear some down jackets. It’s cold. There ‘s a huge dinosaur object, a river, and a slide. It ‘s been a while since I’ve seen a slide. The snow hasn’t melted around here either.I wonder if the slide is wet. This slide, surprisingly it’s not wet.Why is that slide? For now , let’s take a look along the river. The flow is faster. It’s more wavy than I expected.Yesterday and the day before yesterday, I went to a scenic spot along the coast and saw the sea view, and the sea is fine, but the view along the river deep in the mountains is also nice.Wow , there’s so much snow left in the middle of March. The view of this bridge, river, and snow is also beautiful. But the presence of the mountains is really amazing Surrounded by amazing mountains Well, I’m really glad it was a sunny day. It’s a shame that today is mainly a tourist facility rather than a scenic spot. Finally, we took a commemorative photo with this big dinosaur’s mouth, ate pudding, and headed to the next place. By the way, the space between this dinosaur’s tongue and teeth is like a pond. If you slip, it’s over ! I wasn’t able to take any pictures for a long time lol , but it wasn’t recorded at all from the scene where I opened the pudding until I ate about half of it. I was talking to myself for a long time. I thought I could take a picture, but I couldn’t take a picture at all . The pudding was chewy and delicious. The milk pudding had a slightly apricot-like taste , and it was delicious. Next, I headed west all at once and went sightseeing in the Fukui City area. I found a view spot along the way , so I decided to go there as well. Is this the Kuzuryu River Museum? There’s an observation deck nearby. Is this an observation deck? Is it called a tour bridge? It’s amazing . The wind is really strong here . Looks like you can cross that bridge as well. Anyway, let’s go to this tour bridge . I think we’ve traveled about 20km from the dinosaur museum and roadside station Katsuyama that we went to earlier. Wow, this is my first time visiting a view spot like this.I often see things like that, but it’s rare to be able to take a bridge to the top of the river. It’s a bit scary, though. It ‘s swaying, or rather, there’s a really strong wind blowing through it.This is like the first point. There are two observation decks , and they look like this. It’s amazing to be able to see 360 degrees from the middle of this windy river.Wow , it’s an amazing sight with lots of ducks . The birds look like this The scenery looks like this The river is extremely wide This time I’m running out of time due to my schedule, so I can’t do much sightseeing around here, but next time I have a chance, I’d like to go farther upstream or deeper into the mountains when it’s warmer.Wow , it’s scary here.If you don’t turn your back, there ‘s a breeze…It’s cold, so let’s run on the way home. Then we quickly came to the east side of Fukui city. The name of this place is Ichijodani. And here in Ichijodani, the remains of the entire castle town built by the Sengoku feudal lord Asakura clan remain in good condition, and it has been designated as a special national historic site as the Ichijodani Asakura clan ruins. This time we will be sightseeing from early afternoon until early evening, so we will visit the recently opened Ichijodani Asakura clan historical site museum and the restored townscape.By the way, the Asakura clan ruled the castle town around here for 103 years for 5 generations, but in 1573 The castle town was destroyed in a battle with Oda Nobunaga, and was destroyed. At that time, it is said that the castle town was burnt down.More than 400 years later, when the soil was dug up for large-scale farmland development, various ruins were discovered underground . This restored townscape is said to be a reproduction of the castle town of the time.It feels like you’ve traveled back in time. There ‘s a samurai residence well here , so it’s very realistic. It ‘s a bit scary as people suddenly seem to come out.Does this one block mean that all the rooms are residences? I wonder how many people will live in this mansion? The standard size of this mansion is about 30m square, with a moat surrounding it, and the front gate facing the road to the west. There were also dolls that recreated the life of the time.Echizen Asakura playing shogi. The weather was nice and I was really happy.Atmosphere of the townscape This is the Echizen Asakura Yumebutai. There is a stage set on a large site.It is quite large. There are a few houses here and there, so I thought it would only be visible from the outside, but there are also many buildings that you can enter inside.Sengoku costume dressing experienceDoes that mean you can change your clothes here and walk around town? This building is currently used as a storeroom… I wonder if it’s not being used at the moment , but it seems like it’s not being used this time of year.I guess it’s not being used in the winter . It’s a bit scary because I don’t know if it’s okay or not to take a quick look. Well, I’ve come all the way so I’m going to go in. There are very large pots lined up inside. Is this a reproduction of a place where dyeing is done? I don’t know much about the history. It’s not that big. If anyone knows, please let me know. It’s about 10 times bigger than I imagined . I didn’t expect it to be this big. Is this the exit on this side ? There’s also a shop at the south exit. By the way, the souvenir shop looks like this. They sell towels and other items. The design is nice.If I recommend it to foreign tourists, I’m sure they’ll buy it.There ‘s a lot of things on this side. There’s also toilets and udon soba restaurants. If I wanted to go to all of them, I think it would take a whole day.I didn’t have enough time at all. It’s a great view. The river here is also nice.If you’re mainly sightseeing around here, you’ll have to plan a lot of time before you can go around it at all.The atmosphere around here is really nice.It ‘s also recommended for walking courses.Wow , it’s really good! It’s a good day for a walk. It’s sunny today, so it’s nice to just take a leisurely stroll around places like this.Even if you’re busy sightseeing too much, you’ll have a packed schedule in the morning , so you can sightsee quickly, have lunch , and then in the afternoon, you can take a leisurely stroll.I feel like your trip will be even more satisfying. Is that Karamon gate over there? Is that what it is ?Even if it’s not a restoration, is the original gate still there? After a quick look, it seems that this gate is not the remains of the Asakura clan, but is believed to have been built in the Edo period to mourn Yoshikage Asakura. There was a mansion here where Yoshikage Asakura, the fifth generation head of the Asakura clan, lived. The museum is a reproduction of this mansion. For people like me who don’t know much about history, it might be more fun to study slowly at the museum first and then walk around the ruins. The basic exhibition admission fee for the Fukui Prefectural Ichijodani Asakura Ruins Museum is 700 yen per adult. The museum is closed every Monday and is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The museum is open until 7:00 p.m.The museum is a two-story building, with a ruins exhibition room on the first floor and a basic exhibition room on the second floor.By the way, in the ruins exhibition room, the remains of the Sengoku period found during excavations during the construction of the museum are displayed in their original state. It is said that there was a place where goods were transported using the river and bought and sold. The area was very prosperous, with shops and markets lining the docks. It is said that court nobles from Kyoto came to see the museum. This museum will open in October 2022. This is a fairly new facility that just opened. The basic exhibition room on the second floor explains the history of the Asakura clan and the castle town Ichijodani in an easy-to-understand manner using illustrations, diagrams, and models. It is an exhibition that can be enjoyed by both history buffs and non-history buffs. We also display many excavated items found at the ruins here. It seems that for farmers at the time, the contents of the toilet were a treasure, and they would get them from residents in exchange for money or crops. The model of the castle town is also very delicately and realistically built here.If you operate the monitor like this , you can also see the differences between the Sengoku period and the present in photos. This is what we came next. In the area, a part of the mansion of the head of the Asakura clan is reproduced in full size.It is a quite large and beautifully designed room. What are the assets of the feudal lords of the Sengoku period? How much do they cost in today’s Japanese yen? This room alone is bigger than my house.I could see it from the parking lot.It is also very large 2-3 I’d like to experience the life of a feudal lord, even if it’s just for a day.It seems that having a pond garden inside the museum was also a sign of social status. It had a lot of charm, and I enjoyed it for about an hour.By the way, this museum also has a cafe, so I thought I’d have a sweets time.Wrap strawberries and red bean paste in dough yourself. It was difficult but delicious. And it goes great with the matcha. The blended coffee and the large-sized roasted red bean paste were also delicious.Ichijodani Asakura Water StationI came here for a detour because I wanted to see this water wheel. It ‘s nice. You can see the cat river, the water wheel, and the blue sky in the background. The water wheel is spinning. It seems that this water wheel uses water and electricity to move the water flowing from the Asuwa River headworks from a low place to a high place. If you go to the back, there is a promenade like this? Biotope is a word that means a place where living things live as they are, and it is a place where various kinds of living things live without being fed by humans. The mechanism of hydroelectric power generation Oh , something has started, something amazing has arrived. The Pythagora switch is surprising. This is lol. Niko’s waterwheel is said to be lit up at night , and my two-night, three-day trip to Fukui has come to an end.The rest of the time is all about gourmet food.I want to go all the way back to Fukui City and enjoy some sushi. The last meal on the last day of my trip to Fukui is , of course, sushi. So I came to Kuru Kuru Sushi Hogarakatei. Lately, I’ve been eating so much sushi in various areas that I can tell whether it’s delicious or not just by looking at the teacup. I put aside the joke and ordered some sushi. First, I started with my favorite Negitoro and Salmon. Mecha. The salmon is very thick and the green onions have a nice color. It ‘s even more delicious than I expected (in a good way!!). This has skyrocketed my expectations. The price of one plate is not cheap, but the toppings are thick and large, so what can I say about it? The level of satisfaction with this plate is extremely high! Next, I ordered fatty salmon. It was very thick, and the ratio of sushi to toppings was amazing. It was very thick.I’m so glad I came across this restaurant at the end of my trip. The horse mackerel was delicious, too good , and the onion salmon was also delicious.I also ordered a slightly higher-class sushi. This one was medium fatty, and the one in the back was red throat, it melted so much that it disappeared in an instant.Google I found it by chance on a map. Well, I thought it would be delicious, but from this entrance, I couldn’t imagine the quality was high. And I’m going to eat more. Finally, I returned the rental car and decided to go to a shop within walking distance from Fukui Station for sweets time. Cafe au lait, banana juice , and strawberry buffet arrived. It was a gorgeous arrangement , and what I ordered was Satsuma. It’s a parfait of potatoes and apples. It’s so luxuriously arranged. It looks like it’s a little difficult to eat . This is art. The strawberries are amazing, but the apples are so amazing that it makes me feel like I’m in an overseas resort. It’s really an amazing sight. And not only does it look great, but it tastes really delicious. I’m scared that if I take it out, the whole thing will fall apart. Are you going to hold it and eat it like that? It seems that the Apple Umai store will be relocated, and the opening after the move is scheduled for May 2025 (planned) Thank you Fukui My trip to Fukui for 2 nights and 3 days was over in the blink of an eye.I was able to fully enjoy the sightseeing and gourmet food on the 1st and 2nd day of my trip to Fukui. If you haven’t seen the other videos yet, please take this opportunity to subscribe and watch them.Thank you for watching.
