another day here in Sri Lanka we’re starting with a breakfast and we’re having something special some eggs now Sri Lankan breakfast here with uh yeah some eggs and here’s some roti and what’s that actually something paratha or something I don’t know I don’t know I don’t know enjoy and some fruits let’s go welcome to today’s crazy Sri Lanka adventure we are on the way to Mirissa so Mirissa this place is famous because of Instagram there are the coconut trees hills so we’re heading there tonight gonna stay one night there and we’re ready to explore the area we had wonderful days here in Sri Lanka and there are more to come so don’t um forget to give us a like subscribe as you don’t want to miss any video of these and we are on the way with a tuktuk again on our yeah kind of crazy adventure can I ask you something how do you eat this with the hands I want to try to eat it with the hands like why why are they doing this shit here on the road look at this oh my God it’s like the picture that I had in my mind before we came to Sri Lanka that was like the spot that I knew from Sri Lanka this and Sigiriya now it is raining like crazy guys oh my God so guys they’re in front of just two buses and they’re racing like why why are they doing this shit here on the road look at this they’re fighting oh my God they’re fighting for customers you know so the one who is first at the bus stop gets more customers so that’s why but I really think the government of Sri Lanka should do something against that because this is horrible like so many dangerous situations also for us and also for other people and of course for the people who are sitting inside the bus so many accidents happen because of this kind of stuff so um it’s really not our favorite guys so we just don’t pass the buses because they’re really driving crazy we are staying now at the Seadrop Mirissa beach so we actually came here because of the coconut Hill but we didn’t know here you can also spot like whales like the blue whale crazy like the biggest animal on the planet yes blue whale also orcas dolphins and all the other whales yeah I saw like a lot of them you can um yeah see the humpback whales and the I think like the fin whale yeah you can also see here so let’s see if we’re gonna do like a whale tour yeah would be nice so here is our room I’m gonna show you it’s around 25 dollars per night with AC and the bathroom warm shower hopefully I think so and we get a balcony and also with breakfast right for $25 breakfast perfect and great you have also the possibility to have lunch and dinner here yes good on the way now to check out the Coconut Hill so this is what it’s famous for as well so we’re gonna check out the spot and see if it’s worth the time okay so we made it here now with the Google Maps and you can see here we are let’s go let’s check out the Coconut Tree Hill beach or whatever so there is also a Sea Star bar and restaurant and also there is a private road so you can can actually not park with the car which is part of our tuktuk so I hope we’re fine probably we will see so here it is the touristy spot oh how do we get there so here have to enter wow look at this there’s a little coffee shop and here are the famous coconuts trees without without heads some heads are gone yeah yeah if you like a coffee so you can have a beer or coffee and enjoy the beautiful sunset wow look at this it’s so beautiful but also very crowded so this is like the picture that I had in my mind before we came to Sri Lanka that was like the spot that I knew from Sri Lanka this and Sigiriya and yes I have to say it’s really beautiful but yeah of course it’s free actually it’s free you don’t have to pay and I think because now it’s sunset time everyone is here I think probably during the day not too many people won’t be here yeah because it’s hot probably the spot is really like really nice I can see why it’s famous not disappointed so we were just drinking something at the Coconut coconut the cafe and now it is raining like crazy guys oh my God that’s if you travel to Southeast Asia look at this this is a river now a river people are still driving fast like crazy oh my God if you want to have fresh fruits it has to rain ooh actually this is the restaurant we wanna go but it’s raining so bad we don’t wanna even leave this car there’s a Little River now guys it was just raining crazy like maybe five minutes and now it’s good again so we are here at the big Fair restaurant now and we got some food over here yeah it looks pretty good looks yummy what did you get some rice and some veggies so let me check out what you can get they have here also these clay pots so they have different uh kind of vegetables eggplants here yeah some chicken looks very very good wow you got a new plate here yeah I’m hungry today so yeah look at this and I couldn’t decide like so many uh delicious things so yeah I took everything whoo so Bon appetit thank you oh you’re thirsty huh yeah you have small small OK yeah you better small hahaha thank you thank you thank you very much so can I ask you something how do you eat this with the hands I want to try to eat it with the hands is it okay yeah with this one this one like this yeah no you just grab it with the hand you eat like this OK it’s not like this you have to take with the hand mix with everything OK wait please mix it okay hmm thank you it’s tasty with the different taste test yeah yeah it really it really taste kind of different really so you mix all the things hmm I wash my hands of course before huh not that you guys think I’m uh not hygienic or something so and you mix like every flavor together yeah and all the spices you should try too ha ha ha it looks so yummy with the bread it’s it’s kind of easier because it’s like a spoon hmm it’s crazy because as kids we never allowed to eat with hands at home and now here they’re eating it like this OK OK but you always eat it with the bread or sometimes also like this also like this OK OK thank you without the bread ah without it no I’m not gonna eat it okay Bon appétit it looks so funny hmm it’s actually so nice also you get some warm hands you know okay we just finished dinner so our tuk tuk now and drive back home which is not too far and we are tired the whole day so so we are leaving now this place it’s called Pearl Drop near Mirissa so we love the location because it’s just around 5 minutes walk with the famous country spot and at the wonderful view of the Sofi so we’re heading another place which is around two and a/2 hours away with the TikTok and gonna show you our next day um so let’s hit the road bye bye bye bye we made it to the Hotel Sri Lanka so yeah actually the name of the hotel is called the Hotel Sri Lanka and we have the most panoramic room so look at this so this is our bed we got a bathtub here beautiful room like yeah you can see it’s amazing and look the view wow it’s so nice you can see the ocean from here one 80 degrees so beautiful good place huh to stay definitely they also have a little bit of bohemian vibe like in Bali so I love that with all these creamy colours here and yeah like these white colours beautiful I love it it’s so beautiful really good morning everyone we slept amazing in our beautiful beautiful room and we woke up with the sounds of the waves over here in our suite and now we are ready for breakfast as they serve breakfast uh under in the restaurant so but we’re not sure until 10:30 or 11:30 I hope until 11:30 because yes it’s already 10:30 we’re always late and guys we wanted to do like a whale watching tour today but unfortunately it’s not the season and when I say it’s not the season it doesn’t mean that you don’t see whales but it means that the waves are too high sometimes and yeah so is it today so unfortunately we couldn’t go already the second day so we wanted to do it yesterday as well but the waves are really strong and in the night there are always a storm that’s why yeah hopefully maybe tomorrow we will see but now first breakfast wow look how beautiful the beach right in front and here I don’t know if that’s a pool where you can swim but it looks like that right I don’t know so let’s go let’s go to eat something grab a coffee wow what a beautiful day so we got here some sandwiches I got the omelette sandwich and Saskia got the what pesto feta sandwich right so looks pretty good let’s enjoy it here with this beautiful view wow that’s a dream palm trees and ocean breeze so we had a wonderful stay in the hotel and now we are driving the way to Galle to our next place and here on the beach we can see these sticks but the people are not here so usually they stand here to fish so just stand on this little they sit on it they sit ah they sit this uh wooden things yes and that’s crazy but here’s nobody so I also heard it’s like a huge tourist uh attraction that I just want to earn some money here and if you want to take a picture with a fisherman so it cost 5,000 oh my god for a ticket that’s a lot for that I think for this price you can sit on the ha ha on this thing and take a photo like that and pretend like you’re fishing yeah for this price you can stay a night in a good home stay that’s a lot actually okay we just found out that actually on a petrol station you can pay with card because we’re run out of money haha so yeah it’s cool that you can pay with the card I hope I hope or we just disappeared here but uh yeah okay guys so like we just got a card and like the connection of the card machine is not working and the guy was like yeah okay so just go and get some money by a ATM oh here here is the bank okay and then uh we’re like OK so we get the cash and come back and pay and he was like OK OK ha ha ha OK in Scotland you could never like you had to leave I don’t know your whole life there they’re not gonna trust you but here so uh some guys just disappeared as well because they want to pay with card and they just disappeared they were shouting like but uh yeah we’re gonna be honest so we’re gonna get some cash out and pay them back okay after testing two different ATM’s both didn’t work so we went to another one people’s bank uh which we recommend here in Sri Lanka they also don’t charge too much um so people’s bank this is the bank you should go and it worked luckily there and we could pay them oh yeah now we’re on the way to our next stay we are in Galle now and you can see there are so many fishing boats here as well so oh my God oh my God so before just the helicopter landed here and all the people are just watching what’s going on so we have also no idea and the people don’t speak well English and a lot of ambulances were here also and also like the army kind of Sri Lanka so I have no idea what happens but the crowd is getting like very big here everyone’s been stopped so uh yeah now this is the little city of Alut Gama it’s the name and you can also River Safari here before I saw like a picture of a movie the whole house like a crocodile a little crocodile so yeah you could definitely also do that real crocodile yeah a little crocodile okay thanks so here the little city we’re gonna pass the city and our stay is just close to this city and guys I have to say after 20 days of driving with a tuktuk cruise to Sri Lanka I’m pretty much like a pro I feel much safer but before we saw like the accident so we asked the guy and he told us that the accident happened because of a dog because a dog was probably crossing the street so definitely don’t get too comfortable driving here you have to pay attention all the time we made it to the Occidental Paradise Hotel and this one no it’s not a paradise no what what we made it to the Hotel Occidental and our room is beautiful right Saskia is chilling here on the little couch ha ha and here you can see oh open the door first here you can see the pool and we are right next to the sea beautiful beach here nice hotel first impression is good so guys it’s our last few days here with tuktukrentals grand toast and we are heading now back to the airport so our Sri Lanka trip nearly came to an end we had such a wonderful time here with our little tuktuk we got beautiful beautiful content and places that you visit so like we didn’t expect that Sri Lanka is so nice so like yeah now we’re gonna head back the last drive last 3 hours drive without let’s go to a stay near the airport we stay there on the first day and we are excited to go back there because the hospitality was great they also got a free airport transfer so I can’t wait to show you the location where we gonna stay so here on the way they are selling fish and you can see the birds are also flying above the fish so oh my God the smell is intense over here so the fishermen are just selling the fish beside of the road so you can actually stop here and buy your fish huh okay unfortunately guys the police stopped us nobody know why we actually didn’t drive too fast or too slow no actually not I drive like normal it’s like the last day and the police stopped us yeah so let’s see let’s see if they are nice here in Sri Lanka hello hello hello sir good how are you where are you from Switzerland you have a license yes hahaha so you have to show the license sorry you are not allowed to drive on the right side ah no not allowed to drive on the right side so this lane oh OK OK so give me the license please so tuktuks shouldn’t be allowed to drive on the left side guys so if you’re coming to Sri Lanka just to let you know are youtuber yeah we’re Youtuber ah yes yes when did to come to Sri Lanka sorry when did you came to Sri Lanka? 20 days ago yes we did a big trip where are you going now airport to airport yeah think guys from Sri Lanka what do you think so yeah that’s it the left road side now so we made it nearly to Colombo not yet still a far way to go still 42 km but here is a huge temple look at this so in in front it’s a big bridge which we’re gonna pass um I can see it on the maps it’s like a bridge um and beside it’s also the railway so yeah okay so here left side is a temple and here on the right side you’re passing the bridge where are you driving where are you driving getting more and more into the city there are more people more traffic more cars more oh my God more buses so now this is the best part to drive my God oh my God we are driving now this way on the left side is the train and there is the ocean so this is kind of the promenade ocean promenade way here okay we are in Colombo now it’s a crazy busy city uh and yeah but there are also some skyscrapers stuff like that but um yeah I can also see a lot of poor people around so yeah gonna show you a little bit so actually we are driving a little bit outside of the city because in the city like the traffic is also crazy and we have to get back to the tuktuk rental as soon as possible to give back our tuktuk rentals so that’s why we’re driving a little bit outside of Colombo but a lot of things happening here crazy city also we’re like kind of a pier or like a river where the fishing boats are and we got our and we got ourselves a coconut last coconut of Sri Lanka probably cute little town better decision to go over the city not into the city because there is so much traffic after 23 days without accident only one time a break um issue and here we are safe exhausted after all this blue buses but it was a nice nice drive hahaha saying goodbye to our tuktuk there are so many tuktuks guys
