日本ではこれの準備ができていませんでした…カルチャーショックは本物です
That’s the thing with Reanne. Sometimes she says something that’s so obvious that
it gets me confused. Thank you. I actually love Japan. Everyone is so nice.
They need to see the paper, but we might be all right. He’s making a phone call.
Hi guys, welcome back. We’re on tour Dridgers. If you’re new here, we’re a full-time travel
couple from the UK. We are currently in Okinawana, the Hawaii of Japan. And oh my god, it is
absolutely beautiful. It’s nice to get away from the busy cities, neon lights, and just chill
with the tropical vibe. We got palm trees, we got the sun out, and as you can see, I’ve got a bit of
a tan as well cuz we’ve been running each morning and burning oursel. We didn’t even realize.
Right. So, Okana has over 150 islands. We are on the main island and we’re in the main city Naha
at the moment which it has got like city vibes but it’s much smaller and compact and a and a real
local vibe. We’ve actually found that people here in Okinawa so far and in Naha are really really
friendly and very kind. So you might actually recognize the name Okinawa. It obviously
became really famous. Well, it didn’t become really famous. It was really famous during World
War II. it of the scenes of one of the bloodiest battles that over 300,000 people died uh between
America and Japan. Also, uh maybe 2 years ago, Drew Blinkley come here and reported how people
just don’t die here. They had the the largest population of centurions, people that live over
100 100 years old in the whole world. Also, if you seen the film Hacksaw Ridge, that is based on the
bloody wall here. Um, there is like a place you can go and see it, but it’s nothing like the film.
Um, I think it’s been changed into like a castle been Hollywood.
Yeah, I think Mel Gibson produced it. Amazing film. If you haven’t watched it, make sure you do.
Uh, teach a bit of the history here. You’ll notice in Japan, so obviously it’s a green man now.
So, we’re crossing, but when it’s a red man, even when it’s proper like empty, and this was a
big culture shock for us actually. So when it’s empty and it’s and there’s a red man, nobody
will cross. So even if there’s no cars coming, no one will cross. So it’s like a little bit
like like people just don’t break the rules. So that for us that was a culture shock because
you would just in the UK you just cross the road like regardless. It’s probably why Japanese
people live longer than us, bro. Yeah. Yeah, that is actually true. I didn’t even think of
that. Yeah, that that is why. But and they do say obviously you’ll see a lot of the old people they
do they they stay active. So like me and Rihanna said um you will see them doing various activities
around the city playing baseball whatever but also it’s it’s to do with their diet as well. So a lot
of people here are um have a very balanced diet which is high with in vegetables and high in uh
whole grain food. So that’s what I mean. So one’s closed and one’s one’s open. So you’re just going
to have to tell me in the comments. I’m sorry. Most of all the shops down this road are like
these souvenir shops with like your fridge magnet, food, flipflops. It’s got a very tropical vibe,
like Hawaii style, flowers. It’s a cool road though. Look at it. Yeah, it definitely does
remind me of Hawaii. Like the way especially the way everyone dresses as well. Like
Rian said then Flourish shirts. Um it is very touristy here but I just I think obviously
this is the street where it will be touristy. Flourish shirts.
Yeah. Flourish shirts. Yeah. Yeah. I’ve seen some things that I’ve seen in like
mainland Japan. Like nearly not double the price like one and a half. However you say that.
Oh here. Yeah. Like a bit more. Oh my god. This place looks
wow good. It looks like market. Yes. It’s where the street food and all that going to be. Love it.
Yeah. So, spam’s popular here. Spam’s like a tinned meat. Really popular in the UK and back in
like the 50s and stuff. It was popular during the World War II sort of thing. And they’ve jumped
on the the bandwagon a little bit and it’s on every t-shirt. There’s big signs of it. Spam,
spam, spam. And uh apparently one of their main um cuisines, say cuisines, like a popular dish
is a spam rice sandwich, which hopefully we’ll try up here. But, uh, spam’s a big thing.
So, literally, as Ben was just saying it, this is the famous sandwich place.
I’m guessing it’s spam. Is it spam? Uh, I think you Yeah, I think all of
them have spam in that might might be the orange meat there, do you think?
I ain’t got a clue. There’s a vending machine there. Vending machines, that
we call it. Vending machine. Yeah, there’s a machine there so we can order.
But seems quite popular. And as I say, they always have a window so you can see them
cooking it. That’s the thing with Brienne. Sometimes she says something that’s so obvious
that it gets me confused. Like, is that a vending machine? Of course, it’s a vending machine.
Is it a vending machine? I’m confused now. Well, vending machines where you buy
like a drink and all that. That’s the machine you order on. Yeah. I don’t know.
It’s a kiosk. Um, English. Yes. Eaten or takeaway? Eating. Cuz I think takeaway
you’re not allowed to walk along eating it. Okay. Yeah.
All right. Why it gone in English? What? You have to guess. Oh, have to translate it now.
Sorry, guys. Is there anyone waiting behind? All right.
Slight technical issue. Fake grilled eel egg rice.
Is that spam? It says pork on it. I’m going to go for that.
Yeah, I think that’s spam. Yeah, I think pork. Go this one. It’s only 400
that one. That one’s 900. So, I find Japan is um quite a lot about money here. Like cash.
Cash. Yeah, cash. Yeah, it’s very cashy. Yeah, definitely.
Yeah, like obviously we’ve just come from China. China was
our last country and uh polar opposite. Yeah. From no cash to cash.
Everywhere’s cash. The ticket is now. This place is even open. 7:30 to 7. It’s a
long day. Look at him just cleaning equipment there with his hose. But you can eat in or take
away. to take away. You have to take it away to eat later on. You can’t walk along the streets
eating. You just got this little bench. Eat it and then you leave. You don’t hang around.
Thing is, if we took away, we’d probably sit here and eat it.
Yeah. Exactly. So, thank you. I know.
Oh god. How are you getting your mouth around that? So, that
is the spam. That definitely looks like spam. Deep fried spam, I’d say. So then you got
seaweed on the outside, your rice, and a massive egg. I’m assuming that’s egg. It looks egg.
Oh my god. Seriously, how are you getting your mouth around this? That’s what she said.
I don’t think my mouth opens that wide. That is like Oh my god, that’s
good. That tastes amazing. All I mainly got was the egg. And it kind
of reminds me of McDonald’s egg. Yeah, it does look like McDonald’s egg. It
does. Let’s try the spam separately. It’s really nice.
Spam is nice. I think it’s the way you cook it.
Like if you get spam from the tin where it’s really soft, it’s rubbish. But
that’s loss bear. Let’s do another one. I’m thinking I’m eating the paper cuz this
feels like paper when you put your teeth into the seaweed.
Yeah, but I’m not. M. That is really good.
That’s so big for 400. That is massive. Do you want to try it? Ben’s going to make such a mess.
Don’t let that fall there. I know it’s spam, so at least I’m
going to say it’s spam. That’s it. I’m helping. You literally look like my mother. Oh, your mouth fits nicely around it.
Look at that, though. That is sexy. Oh, mate.
That is good, isn’t it? Thank you. You got me sexy.
No. Oh, that’s
Doesn’t the egg taste like McDonald’s? Yeah, I was just Yeah. Yeah, it
does. I do know what you mean. That’s banging. That is really good.
I feel like I could eat like 10. Make sure you try one of these if you ever come
here. kind of reminds me of an egg muffin but with roast on the outside instead of the muffin.
Instead of the muffin. Yeah. Oh my god.
I think that’s probably the best description that we’ve had. That was absolutely fantastic.
We only got one to share because we’re trying to not overeat. We’re trying our best. Like we’ve
gone for a run each morning and then we end up eating. So our new goal is to try and eat better
and not overeat. But we’re still going to eat. We just need to look after ourel.
We do. We’re getting old. It feels like we’re on holiday all the time.
Literally all the time. But you got to remember that we got to live our life like
there’s got to be some structure. You’ll still have a beer though.
Yeah, but that’s part of life, isn’t it? Oh, Ben’s found us a proper market. Oh, I love it.
Locals only. Locals only. Doubt it.
Yeah, I doubt it. I do love these Hawaiian tops. Ben thinks
this is a public market inside here. This is This is where the locals go, Ryan.
Okay. Oh, yeah. It does. Look it. I think we’re going to see some weird
stuff in here that we won’t recognize. Yeah, you might you might see some
like cow heads and stuff. Oh my god, look at these. Smells amazing though.
You can smell the pickled veg. Look. Wa. Fresh fish. So is them. Hello.
Sea snail. Only a Oh my god. Yeah. Some of that stuff’s mad. It’s um normally when
we go to a market, it’s uh you get a real sense smell of like rotten meat. I know this is
just seafood, but it smells smells right. Oh, he’s cutting up like fresh Look at
that. Fresh sushi. Well, fresh salmon. Fresh salmon. Yeah. Kitra. Oh, how fresh is this? I think I saw meat that way.
Yeah. So, this is like a local market. They
come and get lo their fresh products, fresh produce,
fish. We smelled some the pickled veg. I’d love pickled veg, don’t you?
Oh my god, it’s so unreal out here. And you always get it as a condiment on the table.
Here we go. We got meat. See, no smell at all. No smell.
All refrigerated, covered up. So, um, you got no flies going on it. So, you got your beef, probably
wagger beef and all that. Look how nice that steak looks. Look how well presented it is, though. M.
Yeah. I mean, we’ve been to um markets in uh one in particular. I can I can remember
No, we went to one in Colombia and honestly the place rire. There was
there was meat everywhere. Literally all over the all over the floor.
Everything. This one is so well organized. Look how spotless.
Look how spotless it is. Could be the cleanest market I’ve ever been to.
This meat though, not the seafood, the meat makes me
really want to cook like steak and veg. You love myself? I do. I do. So, one thing I do
really miss when we’re traveling is cooking cuz I do love it. I love baking a cake with the kids and
I like making dinner for the family. Do miss it. Honestly, just not You love my cooking.
I love your cooking, but yeah.
For me, cooking myself just doesn’t ever see doesn’t even cross my mind. Yeah. Wow. So, you
got them cooking stuff at the back all around and people eat in the middle. Okinawa ingredients.
It’s a It’s a um ice cream, drinks, all using all their fruits and stuff.
Oh, I might get one. What should we get though? So, it says here that the local fruits
of Auana, it is low fat and low calorie cuz they do a special process. Beer float ice cream in a
beer. All right, I’m going to get one of these. Oh, they got papaya. Ben, no. Get that. You wanting one?
No, just get one. Just one. Share. Chocolate banana. Papaya.
Go. Yeah, go papaya. You keep saying that. Papaya. Papaya.
Papaya in a bowl. Papaya. Yeah.
Papaya. Yes, please.
Oh, so look at all these like freshly made ice creams. You can see all the
fresh fruit like mixed in it. Thank you. Thank you. Bye. Look at that size. Oh yeah. Sit there.
Okay. Sit there. 550 for the healthiest low-fat ice cream you’ve probably ever tried.
Look at it though. It’s quite good. It reminds me a little bit little bit like
a sorbet. That’s what literally like that. That’s what gelto is. It’s a healthier
version of ice cream. It’s not done with dairy. I think might be making that up.
I’m pretty sure it was. Is that not just the Italian spelling of ice cream?
No type of ice cream. Oh my god, that is fantastic. It’s proper creamy. Strong flavor. I can taste orange
in there as well. It is papaya. That is so nice. It’s really refreshing,
especially on a hot day. All right, a few hours have passed. Well, I think
about 4 now. Um, I did a bit of shopping over at Donkey Quinn over there. Have
you say it? Love that shop. So good. Um, I keep forgetting to bring my passport to get
the tax off. I need to start doing that. Um, and we just went to Starbucks for a bit, you know,
editing, you know, the ballroom and crap. It’s now dinner time. It is now 6:00 in the evening and I
found a really good restaurant I’ve been wanting to go to and I didn’t realize it’s literally
just down the road from where we were. So, we’re going to go and try that out, but
I’m hoping I’m praying it’s not too busy cuz I don’t know if it’s one of them places that
like you have to queue for. Right. This is what we’re going for. Itcheran restaurant. Uh, don’t
know whereabouts. Maybe it’s there downstairs. B1. Is this B1?
I think so. B1 basement. Yeah, it’s got to be, isn’t it?
Yeah, that’s it. It downstairs. I
think it’s all done on a vending machine as well, which is what we like. Not a big fan of
talking to people. Hello. Two people. Thank you. Oh, look at this.
Oh god, I don’t even know where to start. I think these are like the classical ones up here.
Right. You can get a beer. You got me.
You got the classic ones. Oh, yeah. I might get the classic ones. Then
like an egg on the side or something. Pork.
You want that one? So you get that and that on the side. Okay. Yeah.
What have I done? All right. So that one H boiled egg and extra sauce. That and that.
Yeah. Do you want a beer as well? And a beer. Oh, Ben.
Sorry. sorted. Straight straight through. Watch your step.
Watch your step. You got me. All right. 12:30.
Okay. Thank you. Oh, wow. Look at this. This is cool.
12 13. So, you have your own little booth. It’s probably This is cool, isn’t it? Thank
you. So, give you a cut. Oh god. So, we got a t of
these seasoning stock. So, if you don’t know, then go for the one they
sell. So, medium. I’m literally all mediums. What spice you got?
Mild. You’ve gone way. Yeah. So, this is a little
booth. We got like a chopsticks, napkins. What? Spicy. And then I don’t know what these are.
So then I’m guessing we just put that there and they’ll come get it. What are these though?
For other requests, please write it on the Oh, on the back. You can see English.
I’m leaving my seat for a moment. Oh, okay. So, you put these down. I don’t know
the ordering process. Is it hot or cold water? Cold.
Cold. Yeah. So, it’s like a little
tap fan. Oh, you push it down. How cool is this? It
is cool. Look, I’m buzzing for this. It’s a bit self sufficient.
Yeah, I like that though. Look, you just left. I filled this in. I feel
like I can just press this. Oh, okay.
Did you press it? Yeah. He tell you off.
I don’t know what he said. Yeah, it’s good. Let’s take half your ticket.
Ah, yeah. Yeah. Feel like I’m winging this a bit.
To order a noodle refill, is it place the appropriate plate on top
of the sensor? Oh, okay. Yeah, it’s just saying if there’s like a blackness to it, then
it’s not old or being boiled wrong. There’s something wrong with it. That’s fine.
No, no, no. Don’t do it like that. How did you do it?
Just give it a crack and a peel. Thank you. So, you just do a
little crack like that. That’s it. That way you do it. Just makes it tumbling.
So, it’s a salted egg. Look at the yolk. Yum. You eating it all separate. I love the
eggs cuz it’s more gooey and creamy. That’s what
is it? A chicken egg or a duck egg? Chicken egg.
That’s why like the egg sandwiches and all that taste so
good and creamy. It’s just the eggs unreal. M. Look at that. They look perfectly
cooked. Thank you. Oh, wow. Thank you. Look at these. And as you see,
you get a little bow at the end. Oh my god, these look so good. We got
pork, spring onions, noodles, and then the chili sauce. It’s like a pork
broth. Look at this. Oh, I’m buzzing for this. That’s hot. It’s very hot.
Not spicy hot. Heat hot. I keep poking egg around the corner.
Get out. Get in your own boo. Oh, that’s wow. Nice. M. Oh my god, that
is so good. Don’t know. Try some pork. M. That’s really soft and juicy, that pork.
M. That’s really good. And the noodles. Oh, thin noodles. That’s for a medium. You
can have them like different texture, like more of a bite to them,
less than bite. Really soft. They’re delicious. How good are they? I haven’t really tried it yet.
I just went for the meat first. Oh, you got meat on the side.
You’re not throwing it in there. You just let the meat separate.
I put meat inside as well. How spicy did you go? Full
full spicy. Full spicy. Oh my god. You’re going
straight in for just the spice. And I went um bit of a crunch to them to the
noodles. So I think this is how you meant to do it. So I can’t be watching. You get the
broth in there and your noodles like that. You still haven’t cracked it. And
you have a bit of juice at the end. something like that but a bit more neater.
Wow, they were 10 out of 10. Probably the best ramen noodles I’ve ever had. I’m going to
miss this place. I would definitely come back here again. Cute little booth. I’m guessing we
just walk out and leave. We paid. Yeah, just go. Says 12 and 13’s occupied. So, I don’t
know how they know to clear it and that. It’s getting busier now. Thank
you. Bye. Other side, Ben. He literally pointed you there. Oh, free service,
good food. I love it when you can order off the machine. Just makes it so much easier. Morning,
guys. We’re up bright and early cuz we’re going to go and rent a car so we can visit more of the
island. There’s a car rental place here. We’re hoping they’ve got some cars. We’ve decided
just to wing it and go out today and get it. Why not? And hopefully they have
one. Proper nice day today. Look, nearly a blue sky. A few clouds about, but it’s
boiling hot. This place we’re going for. It’s like a 10-minute walk from where we’re staying.
We just checked out and just left our bag with the guy at the reception. And hopefully we can get
one in here. Kicha, uh, looking to rent a car, maybe. doesn’t speak English.
No reservation. No, no reservation. No,
hopefully we get one, but as we said, we haven’t booked it. We just want it for two days.
You made that pace as well. Who wants to take a good look at the car went?
No, we haven’t. Uh, how many how many passengers?
Um, two days. Two people. Oh, two passengers. Yeah,
two two people. Okay. At first, please uh check the car size.
Car size. Yep. The baby one. How use?
Two days. Two days. Okay. We went to
We went to you this size like this?
Yeah. The small size? This one? This one?
This small? Yeah. Okay.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. One of them is fine. Yeah. Are they automatic?
Yes. Yes, of course. Ah, but uh do you have international driver access?
Yes. Yes, that’s fine. Okay. So, we have an
international driver license, but we haven’t got the paper part. Um, they need to see the paper
part, but we might be all right. He’s making a phone call. So, I’ll let you know what happens.
Right. Disaster. Absolute disaster. We need the paper part. They said they can’t accept it without
the paper part. They’re actually here in Japan, they’re really, really strict with your
international driving permits and stuff. So, we’re getting the bus. And not only are we
getting the bus, it is the longest bus you will ever see in your life. Is what it is.
All right, we’ve made it back to our accommodation. We’re just going to grab our bags
and then head to the bus stop. Hopefully, it won’t be too long. We’re all a wait to get a bus. But
should be able to just grab them. You’re just going to grab them. Highly recommend this place
if you want a cheap, cheerful place here. It was £35 a night. Free food. No, not free food. free
drinks, um, laundry room, free rental bikes. Well, free bikes, not rental. And the guy is really
nice. He like helped me out with my laundry. Like, I went out for the day and he did it for me pretty
much. But let’s make it to the bus stop. Ben, you’re in charge of getting us there.
Yeah, I know. All right, we’ve made it to the bus stop.
Oh my god, I am literally melting. Look, Ben is dripping with sweat.
It is so hot, mate. I’m not a fan. Not a fan.
The bus. Should we come here? This isn’t R1. 23. We want 28 or 120. It’s
just a normal like public bus. I thought it’s going to be like a more of a coach. Yeah.
Yeah. But it’s about an hour. We’re heading to the American Village first before we go to our
new accommodation. We’ve got a really really nice hotel that we’re heading to in a bit. But
we’re hoping we can find somewhere to store our luggage. Otherwise, it’s going to be hard. All
right. So, we’re getting 28 bus. It should take us about an hour. We’re just waiting for
people to get off and then we’ll get on. I don’t know. It’s saying no. Yes. No. Look at that. Thank you. All
right. The bus we just jump on, number 28, was just going to the bus terminal.
So, we’re literally about to jump on another bus. 143. I think that cost us 520. It took us like
5 minutes up the road. So, bumped a little bit, but it says our next bus should be 3 minutes.
There’s our bus. Perfectly on time, right? So, we just got given like tickets and then at
the end you pay either I think we contact this card or cash, but make sure you have the
correct change otherwise you won’t get given the change. But this is us for probably the
next hour all the way to American Village. So, it’s like a public bus. Well, I’ve got my bags
here and then Ben’s over there with a suitcase. American Village. Yes. Next stop. Next stop.
Next stop. Oh, okay.
Next. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah. American. Yeah. Thank you. Knows a
little bit of um English. Told us next stop. So, that’s good. We’ve been on it for
over an hour. Feels like ages. I think everyone’s getting off
at the American Village. So, yeah. Everyone that’s left on it. I think it
might be the last stop. But um it got really busy at one point like even people standing up
but other than that it’s quite nice air con and that bus drivers are really nice as well. They
don’t like brushier like you can sit there and chill for a bit. Let’s see how much this over an
hour bus journey cost us. I’m hoping they give us change cuz I’ve only got notes. I’m getting
pretty hungry. I’m hoping there’s like some American pizza slices. That’s what I’d like.
New York slice. This is how helpful he is. He’s a good guy this one.
He is a good guy. Very nice. Good guy. He’s He’s definitely um
He’s definitely our new favorite bus driver. He’s cool. When we get bus at home, they’re like
brushing you off and they’re well rude. Okay. Number 840.
840. Yeah. Okay. Bye. What a great guy. All right, we’re
sorted. We’re going to see if we can find somewhere to store our bag. So, should have
probably asked him. No, it’s um I read on the forums online as you do. Uh they said the
mall and they also said the tourist center. So, all right, then find out and we can
see if we can drop our bags off cuz otherwise this might be very fun with these. Oh, that would be awful. 11
minutes to the tourist center. All right, take us there then.
The tourist information center. Do you have uh lockers? Um, how do we use we
pay you? It requires to use Japanese 500 coin. You got a coin.
Not 500. So you have you got change?
Uh, yeah. We do have change or we can have the last.
Oh, you can have it. Like we take credit card or
Okay. Card. Yeah. That’s fine. Yeah.
You want to leave more here? Yeah. Yeah. We have your 9,500. That’s brilliant. Thank you.
Thank you. So, we’ll put your 60. Okay.
Put it over here. Thank you.
Thank you. Okay. Thank you. I’ll see you in a bit. Bye.
Bye. That was easy. Yeah, it was easy. Well helpful.
I love I actually love Japan. Everyone is so nice. We’ve not had one bad interaction,
have we? No. But we’ve just left them with her instead. I don’t think it would have fit in one
of them lockers for 500. So, we got a bargain there just putting it with her. So, if you come
to American Village, you can dump your bags here. Let’s go and explore.
Look out for the robot. Yeah, she was really nice because like Rian says,
we probably wouldn’t have fit that into the the lockers, but she was looked at it and she
was like, “Oh, we’ll just charge you for one.” Really nice.
All right, so we think this is the American village all here. Start off with American Depot.
Ben informed me that’s like a shopping center. It is a shopping center. So, this was actually built
in 1947 when America first occupied Okanima. They actually occupied it for 27 years. And this is
where all the military personnel used to hang around. So, it’s uh it’s not it’s changed into
a tourist place, but yet it used to be used by the military personnel. And you it’s full
of bars, shops, but obviously it’s a lot of touristy stuff here. So, it’s a little bit
different now. Eminem, man. Look at these cats. I put a needle one in them to cuddle at night.
Really? Is it heavy? You can just imagine like back in World Wars, all the soldiers hang out here
like with their American music being loud like Americans are. got like the retro style in that as
well. There’s actually a dart shop there. Darts, mate, is like super duper duper popular in
the UK right now. We got like Luke Litler. I don’t want to bore you, but Luke Litler is
like tearing it up. Best player in the world, mate. And I’m not even a big D fan. So, you got
the American vibe with the diner, but then you got like a London bus. Confusing. Really confusing.
Right. So, this is Pizza Stand NY where we get some New York pizzas. A bit confused though.
Even more British stuff as well. Let’s go have a look. Let’s check it out.
Slice of pepperoni. Down low.
Hello. Uh, one slice pepperoni.
Mhm. Uh, oh. Drink.
Uh, Coke Zero. Look at that for a slice of pizza. Does that look like American? Let us know.
I reckon it does. Little P plate as well.
Yeah, that’s how they serve it. For me, that’s quite that seems quite authentic.
You got your um palmesan cheese, chili flakes, oregano, and garlic, and Tabasco sauce.
This is how this is how you tell that it’s a good bit of pizza. Don’t flop.
Don’t flop. Oh, yeah. It’s good. Right. I I do know
my pizza quite quite well. So, let’s see. Yeah.
So, the base is just like really thin and crispy and you can just get like
it’s more cheese and tomato. It’s so good. So, it’s like it’s not dry cheesy and there’s
not much crushed overpower in it. Very good. All right, I’m going to add some
toppings. Oregano. Love oregano. some chili flakes. There you go. I’m making
the pizza 10 times better. And you got to add some palms there.
You’re upgrading it. I am. Some Americans might watch
this and be like, “No, no, no, no. Up the oil.” Then that is really good. I’m trying to tell you.
I expected it to be soggy bottom. It’s got a good crunch. Oh, we like the cheese stretch.
So, yeah. That’s really nice, actually. It’s delicious.
Wish we got one each. Now, we have got a bit of a cheese
pool there. Look at that. Oh, before you start hating me on the
comments, I did just Google it and cuz I had a second brain wave. I went, “Oh, I
want a better American.” Yeah. So, good. Yeah. Yeah. I know. I know.
I know. I got it wrong. I’m sure you’ll tell me. Right. New York pizza done. That was banging. It
was good. That was like 10 out of 10. That was really
nice. I really enjoyed it. Cute little place. A little bit moody in there. They ain’t really
got the spirit of all the other happy people. Yeah. No, they not. That’s why we stuck. We went
Japan, not America. And we didn’t leave a tip. Oh, yeah. We didn’t, did we? This area more has
like South America kind of vibe, like the bright colors and all that. Like Columbbo and
Columbia. Columbia and all that kind of stuff.
Tacos over there. Bagels. Bagels. Tacos. I think maybe they’ve done that. They’ve
done a like south of the border area. This does definitely feel more South American.
Yeah, 100%. If we didn’t try this left, I reckon loads of people would have said
hate. We get pure hate. Why does it say do not enter? Don’t know really.
Oh, what you going to go for? Uh,
you having a cone? Yeah.
So, single scoop is 400 and then 70 extra for waffle
cone cuz you don’t want one of them rubbish ones. So, you got all these other flavors, but
how do you put I thought you could put Mr. Whippy on top of it. Maybe not. So, you
just put your cash in there. Why it working? There you go.
That’s all good. Maddest thing I’ve ever seen.
And then your change comes out. 60. Thank you. Thanks.
It’s mental. I haven’t even got to deal with anyone.
Look how busy it’s got since we’ve been here. It’s us, was it? Thank you. There
you go. That’s how quick it is. Oh, mate. Nice. Why are the seats in
Asia so low? Like near nearly sitting on the floor here. You were dramatic.
All right, I got the chocolate fudge one. M. Look at that. Good size. Oh, that
is good ice cream. M. What’s yours like? So good.
Does it taste like pistachio? Yeah. You got the um almonds in there
as well. So good. Oh, that is well good. I feel like mine’s a little bit better than yours.
No, mine’s I like chocolate. I’m a chocolate girl. Yeah.
All right, let’s walk towards the beach. Yeah.
I’m guessing we can walk along eating ice cream. Yeah. Who’s going to stop us? Although like we’re
obviously enjoying the food, enjoy the pizza. Uh, it has got lots of American vibes, but I
wouldn’t say it reminds me too much of America. No, yeah, they’ve obviously made an effort. You
get like the fire hydrants are everywhere and yellow cabs and stuff, but just don’t know.
Like you saying a minute ago, I haven’t seen one American flag.
No, I haven’t. No, which is true.
Which is mad. But yeah, that is mad. It wouldn’t Like if this was
America, there’d be American flags everywhere. But yeah, not one. M hurry up and eat
your ice cream as well. Mountain melting. It is melting. We’re so quick. I feel this
could be the hottest day we’ve had since we’ve been here, though. I’m having one
with this ice cream. It’s mountains like I can’t peel the thing off. quite a lot of the time like you find somewhere
where you can just like imagine yourself like settling down when you’re older. Oh well. Yeah.
Like I was saying like sometimes you when you’re traveling obviously we’ve done this for 4 years
and been so many great countries. The countries that I like love and I could I could move to
forever. But you always find sometimes you find a place where you can see yourself growing old.
And I want to say this island is a place where I’d love to like retire. It seems like such a cool
chilled out place. Definitely. And the time we spent there. We’ve only been here what, 3 days? I
think so. Yeah. Yeah. 3 days. And yeah, I just just loved it
here. It’s just really just a real nice vibe. Yeah. I highly recommend it.
Instead of sticking to all the mainland
mainland busy ones, go to these little islands. Yeah,
I’ll definitely come back to Jan and explore all the 150 islands surrounding it.
All of them. All of them. That’s on my bucket list.
Yeah, cuz it’s such a different vibe to obviously the mainland’s great as well. Like
I can’t recommend Japan enough to anyone that wants to visit it. Um but yeah, the these
islands are so different. I mean, it’s the same in any country. You you get the same vibe
in Thailand as well with the islands. But yeah, we really really enjoyed this. And look where we
are now. Look, beautiful setting, turquoise water. Going to grab a bus now. We’re actually heading
to our new accommodation. It’s about an hour and a half away from us, so it’s further up the
island. But this is a luxury five-star hotel we are heading to. So, I cannot wait. We’ve got
pool, we got dinner included, breakfast, even lounge access. So, make sure you don’t miss that
cuz that is going to be fantastic. So, subscribe. And I’ll tell you what, it
is just like it is just like Oh, it is nice to get away from the busy sea. All
right. So, now we’re going to get a bus. I think we got an hour and a half bus journey. The the dot
here in Ottoara is that’s not even how you say it. I went and did a bit of shopping at
Donkey Quinn. I don’t know how you say it, but I love the movement in there.
I heard you say Shong Shon. All right, let’s start again.
You’re facing the wrong way. Am I Is it that way?
It’s that way. Yeah. Driving. Proper nice day today. Look at the Wow. I’d
say clear skies. There’s few clouds about

"Thats what she said." "Thats what he said". Exhibition A, Ben actively tries to wind up Rheanne 😂. No more denying Ben, no diddy
Ya 👍 this time looks delicious egg with Ramen , in west coast the pizza is thicker ,
Ben you look sexy ( too short pants 👖 ) don’t wear that in here ( USA ) 🤭😳👏❤️
O kin aw wa who be a closer way of saying the name.
Have to say you two are the two most unintentionally hilarious youtube travel vloggers. Watching you both blunder your way through Asia has been entertaining to say the least with all the mispronunciations and lack of planning/research. This is what sets you apart from the many other similar channels these days so keep it up!
Rheanne, what cupsize are you? Double F???
You should have put the egg into the ramen soup and eaten it together.
Old people in Okiwana stay active playing baseball? Wow.🤣You guys keep me rolling.😂Good job working on keeping in shape!
😂 was wondering what you’re saying, “okinowana”…
Ben… Reanne… it’s oh-kee-nah-wah.
Loving your vlogs ❤
What do you miss from China?
You guys should try Okinawa Soba while you are there. Ichiran is a ramen chain that was started in Fukuoka/Hakata and is a different style of noodle and soup.
Ben busted out the Chinese phrase for 'strong spicy' at the ramen place.

Said thank you in Japan
You won't see many American flags in Okinawa because of the American bases there. They aren't very popular with the locals because of the amount of R*pes and S*xual assaults that the soldiers have done there. Basically they get to walk free because the America forced Japan govt to put it into law that states that American soldiers aren't allowed to be charged by Japan courts.
The majority of the population in Okinawa want the military bases off the island and completely removed but the Japan govt refuses.

I have 1 question and relly would appreciate if you can answer i only ask this question to tourist i would like to know out of all the Muslim countries which country shown you the best hospitality and which was the worse ????
How nice it is to see all your experiences in Japan&China(also many other beautiful destinations)..I saw how amazing these places are and now I think why you always emprasing the word "traveller" rather than ”tourist“. In Japan, people have been interacting with westerns for a long while, so you can see they do have very good/mature experiences or systems when it comes to the service for Westerners who just arrived. Many of the small business owners are providing english services very normally or smth like that. Chinese are, in another way, pure hospitality, meaning that they are willing to share their own belongings with u and to show you how their unique lifestyles are like. I guess that is why you can get into the real local life and make friends with locals more easily – Both JP/CN way are so nice and how interesting it is to see the common/differences between them!
I would also say all the times when we see there is good interaction going on, it is not only because there kindness of locals. you can see that Ben is always humble and gentle (except his random boy moments for sure🤣), and Reanne is the one with most positive/adventurous vibes and she is willing to share her vibes with anyone around her. Oh also she is in charge of preventing Ben from getting lost somewhere🤣
Cheers guys
Loving this series from the wonderful and beautiful land of Japan… ❤️ 🇯🇵
4:53 At this angle where the yellow sign above to the right of the screen, if you turn right down that little street, you will see Pork Tamago Onigiri. I think you would enjoy it very much. 18:02 Doesn't it look like he covered your view so you don't see him press the button again the stop the blinking? I think you were suppose to eat the ramen with the egg together. 39:36 oh crap. I have stayed at this hotel before. It is the Hilton right?
