Sringeri Tour Plan – A Weekend Gateway From Bangalore | View Points, Waterfalls & Temple Visit

Hello everyone, once again a very warm welcome to you all in the travel yatra. In today’s video we will see the complete details about Sringeri, one of the famous devotional spots in Karnataka’s Chikmagalur district. The distance of Sringeri from Bangalore is about 300 km and Sringeri is famous for its major temples, but it is in the Western Ghats, so it is also a hill area where you will get to see a lot of view points. At the same time, there are some good waterfalls here too. So if you are from Bangalore or any major city of South India like Chennai, Hyderabad or Mysore, Udupi, etc., then from here you can plan a two-day trip to Sringeri as a weekend gateway and if you want, you can also explore this particular area for three or four days. So come, in this particular video, I will tell you that if you want to plan a trip to Sringeri, then A weekend getaway from Bangalore, so how can you plan it as a day wise itinerary, what could be the travel route and which side sink places can you see in which order, where would it be best to stay and overall what could be the budget of this particular trip, so if you follow this itinerary blindly which I am going to tell you further, then you can easily plan a weekend getaway for 2 days in budget for Sringeri and its nearby places, so Sringeri is located in Western Ghats and its distance from Bangalore is approximately 300 km, which if you come by personal vehicle, then it will take you 6 to 7 hours and apart from Bor, you can easily reach Sringeri from Mysore, Bangalore and Udupi as well, the distance from Udupi to Sringeri is approximately 100 km, so it will hardly be a journey of 2 hours and you will have to reach Udupi by bus You will also get train connectivity from over India, but if you want to visit only the temples in the main area of Sringeri, then I would say that coming by bus would be preferred. Otherwise, the itinerary that I am going to tell you will have some off-bit places, some waterfalls, etc., some view points, etc., which are at such positions where you will not get the facilities of buses. So, it is recommended that you can come to Sringeri in your personal vehicle or at least a rented four wheeler or two wheeler. Now , the journey from Bengaluru to Sringeri will take about 1 hour, for which I will show you this route. So, you have to travel from Bengaluru via Hassan, then Belur, then Kalasa, then Honadu, and then finally to Sringeri. So, in this particular route, you have to come and the roads are perfectly fine. The route that will be shown to you in the GPS will also be exactly correct. So, you can blindly follow the GPS, etc. in this route. You can reach Shringeri. Now if you do an overnight journey from Bor, you will reach Shringeri early in the morning. So your IT for day one will be that first of all you do not have to come to Shringeri. There are some other things on the way which we will cover and finally reach Shringeri. So first of all you can cover on the way is Ranijhari View Point. So this is Ranijhari View Point. So to reach this particular view point, after Belur, before going to Kalasa and Harnadu route, you can see this point, Ranijhari Coffee Shop. From this particular point on the highway, a road cuts towards the view point. So I will zoom in and show it to you. You can see that from this particular Coffee Point Coffee Shop, you have to enter this route. And after this, after Ranijhari Canteen, you will see the main road till here. You can easily reach here. After this, the road becomes a little narrow till this point. So to reach this point, you can reach this Rani Edge Point Parking Spot. And if you are on a bike then there is no problem, you can easily go a little further from the parking point with your bike, here you will also find a signboard of ah Kaal Bhairav temple, in this route you also have a Kaal Bhairav temple which you can visit, ok if you want to go to Rani main point then this is the main junction, if you come here by bike car then park your car here because the road ahead is quite rough and if you come by bike then you can go further from here, so as soon as you track from this particular parking point and come a little further then you will find Rani view point and after Rani view point if you track a little further then you will find Rani watch tower and if you go a little further than that then you will find Rani edge point, so you can come till here, to reach here you have to walk about 1 1/2 km. There will be a track and you will find some plain starting routes, later you will find some jungle-like route, so through that route you can reach till the edge point of Rani, which is the end point. Now, to reach the main view point of Rani, you will find a path like this. So, if you have any such phobia, you can just avoid this path. Otherwise, if you want to go, then this is the only way. Come, come, now where should we go from here? Bhaiya, I cannot understand where I am going, what is I doing, I am standing. Halfway the track is complete and a little halt. We have almost come here from inside that point and now we have to go up and a little far from here, it is a full steep climb, and if you want to go till here, then don’t go on one stretch, at least take a halt once or twice in between because we have come from almost this point, not even from here, I would say that we have come here from below, first till here, from here, then crossing these jungle bushes. We have come here from here and now we have to go up to the top, we have to go a little higher from this point also, come on brother, come on, come quickly [Music] Come on guys, come on, come on and there is a little bit, it is not much, come on come on, come on, come on, okay guys, after almost half an hour of trek, we have come down from that point to our peak, so let us show you the main view here, so in this way you can visit Rani View Point, we visited early in the morning, so as you can see , there was no one around us here because we left late night at 8-9 o’clock from the bore and approximately at 3:30, we reached this particular coffee shop point, we did not go inside this highway because it was very dark at 3:30 in the night, so we parked the car on the side here and rested inside the car for an hour, after that as soon as it was 5:30, we went inside and after that we went ahead to the parking point and parked our car and after that what you can see in my footage You saw that the timing was around 6:30-7:00 when there was no one there, so if you also do a late night journey, then visit this particular view point early morning, but make sure that you do not leave the highway and go on a narrow road in the dark i.e. around 3:30-4:00 because the roads can be rough, you may not know the road, so wait for a while somewhere on the highway itself, there will be some light at 5:30-6 o’clock, only after that you go inside and visit this particular view point, so in this way first you can visit the Ranijeri view point, after that similarly in the return route you come to the coffee shop and take the main road and from the main road you travel towards Kalasa and after Kalasa we will next visit Surmane Falls, so for Surmane Falls, as soon as you reach this point of Kalasa, you can apply GPS from here, in GPS you are shown the correct route and you will be diverted to the left in this way and diverted You can come towards Surene Falls but in the middle you will see this Bhadra river flowing so you will cross this particular river at this particular point so if you want you can stop near this river for some time and this is not a very big or very deep river you will see it flowing like a small river and if you come early in the morning then you will find neat and clean water here so you can spend some time here as well ok so on the way to the middle we saw this canal so we did some brushing etc and washing hands and face here it is quite good refreshing water you can drink it if you want it is quite clean water you just don’t need to wash your face here the water which is flowing from this place this boy has done something urgently so what we have done is that because of the scandal of this boy which has happened here we have not done anything in the water flow ahead of it we went behind from there we washed our face and hands completely we have done everything so just we have Just did our basic things and then we are going ahead now, so the travel I had done, I had travelled with my school friends, they were coming back having a lot of fun and we left from Bangalore for Letai and early in the morning went to directly visit Rani Johnny Point, we had neither brushed our teeth nor had breakfast, so we brushed our teeth etc. on the bank of this river itself, spent some time, had some fun and after that we were a group of boys, so we travel in this manner, if we find clean water somewhere, we wash our face and hands there, if there is no washroom somewhere, then we use petrol There are washrooms in the pumps, you can use them and then further ahead at the Suleimani Falls where we went, we also took a bath and freshened up, so in this way, after spending some time at this particular point, come straight ahead and you will find this forest post for ticket to Suleimani Falls a little before this Suleimani Falls. Your vehicle will be allowed only till this particular point, so there is a ticket counter here, from here you have to buy the ticket at the same time, you can park your vehicle here and the cost of parking here along with the ticket charge, I don’t remember exactly, we were three people and a parking fee was taken from us, so I think in total they had charged something like ₹2 for ₹2, so approximately I can assume that ₹50-50 is probably the fee for per person to visit the falls and I think they had charged ₹50 for parking, so in this way for about 200. They had charged us around Rs. 10000 and the walk to Suleimani falls from here will again be of 1 to 1.5 km in which in the beginning you will find a plain road like this and after going a little far you will find some steps like this to go down so to reach here you will have to walk for about 10-15 minutes so as soon as you come back after a 15-20 minutes walk from here, you will find a completely private waterfall like this so here you can see I am talking about 10-11:00 in the morning and this is a weekend when there is so much public so it will almost give you a feel like a private waterfall so here you can enjoy a lot and spend time here you can also take a bath here if you want and in this way you can also visit this particular falls for about one and a half hour you can spend one and a half hour now as you come out from here you can directly come from this Kalasa area to Horanadu and Visit one of the famous temples here that is Annapoorneshwari Temple. So this is one of the famous temples on the way which you can visit. There is no charge or any ticket cost for visiting the temple here and here you are also provided with Anna Prasadam i.e. free food in this particular temple. And the timing of Anna Prasadam I am showing you here in the display, you can note it down and if you are coming from morning visiting view points and waterfalls etc. then it will be around 1 or 2:00 pm by the time you reach this particular temple. So if you want to take Anna Prasad here in the afternoon then visit the temple or take Anna Prasad beforehand and then visit the temple. And here also you can spend one hour comfortably and from here you can easily travel in the late afternoon or till evening till Sringeri. Now if you want to reach Sringeri in the afternoon Or if you come by evening, then you can visit Sringeri in the evening and take an overnight journey and return to Bengaluru or any other destination if you have selected your next destination. Otherwise in my opinion, you can visit the temple of Sringeri once in the evening and stay here overnight. Then you can visit the temple once more in the morning. You will find many hotels here for stay. You can see the main road of the temple. There are many hotels on the left and right of this main road. So you can directly go and select any one hotel from these. You do not even need to pre-book . So the particular hotel in which we stayed was this Sri Poorna Lodge Singeri and if I show you its current cost, you can see it is ₹954 plus ₹29 tax, which means ₹11,150. This is showing the cost of two people and we were three people. So they had given us a slightly bigger room and we had gone on the weekend, so I think they had charged us ₹1500, which means they had given us a room at the rate of ₹500 per person. So after checking in for the overnight stay, you can freshen up once if you want and in the evening during the aarti time, you can go and visit this particular temple once and if you are very late in coming, then you can just take rest in your hotel and early in the morning you can go and visit this particular temple. This is one of the famous temples of Sringeri, you can also call it the landmark of Sringeri. So there are majorly two temples here in this particular area, one is Vidya Shankara Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and the other is Sharada Amma Temple which is dedicated to Lord Saraswati and there is Sharada Peetha here which is the temple of Sri Guru Shankaracharya. It was established by so you can visit all these things here in the early morning, after that you can see this river flowing here, this is Tunga river, there is a dedicated area in this river where you will see fishes, here you can feed the fish, fish food etc. is available here, so if you cross this particular Tunga river and go ahead by walk, then here also there are many temples, residences, cowsheds etc., so you can visit them too, in this way, after visiting the temple once at night, you can come in the early morning and visit this particular temple once for one or two hours and here also you have the arrangement of Anna Prasadam, that is, free food, free food is provided here all three times, so you can take all these things here as prasad and after this, in the early morning for breakfast, I will suggest you this particular Maruti Tiffin Center, so this is a very old tiffin center here, which is operated from a house here But there is a place in the house where their family members are there where you are fed while sitting and for some people who cannot eat while sitting, a singing area has been made at the back, so in this way they are fed while sitting in the house, although there is a lot of interest here, you will have to wait for half an hour for a seat, but even if you have to wait here, I would recommend that you definitely have breakfast here once, that will be a pure authentic Karnataka style breakfast and early morning you can have breakfast at 9, 10 , 11:00 am, by the time your darshan etc. is over, after that you can return from here via Belur and in Belur you will find another famous temple which is Chinnakesava Temple, so you can visit it on the way if you want, you can just travel towards Bor and you can easily reach Bor by evening or late night, so in this way if you are planning a weekend getaway from Bangalore for two days So you can go out on Friday night and visit all these view points, waterfalls, some famous temples, stay overnight on Saturday and visit some more temples on Sunday morning and return. You may get bored by Sunday night and from Monday again you can start your regular task as usual. And if you are travelling as a family or you are planning for two or three days, then after Sringeri you can come to this Chikmagalur area via Belur and you can plan a one day tour of this Chikmagalur. So for a complete tour guide about Chikmagalur, I have made this playlist, which has some videos in which you will get details about the temples of Belur and you can also see complete details about how you can complete a one or two day tour plan in Chikmagalur in this particular video. Now , let us quickly see what could be the overall budget of the two day plan of the weekend getaway that I told you. So if you come by car and you have a personal car then it is fine, otherwise if you take a car on rental then you get car rental in the bore for around ₹2 to ₹2500 per day, so let’s assume your car rental for 2 days is ₹5000 and petrol etc. your expense for petrol etc. will be around ₹5000, so I assume petrol expense to be ₹3000 and then adding toll, parking and all these things, your expense will be around ₹1000 so the travel cost will be around ₹89000, apart from that, if you stay there overnight, then you will get a decent room for ₹1000500 in Singeri. Now about the food, mostly if you are visiting temples etc. then at every place there is Annaprasad, that is, free food. Facilities are available always in the morning, afternoon and evening and mostly you will take food etc. in Anna Prasad etc. apart from this you can assume that if 3-4 people are travelling, then if you eat outside once, your total expense will be ₹1000 – ₹2000 for food and then you take tickets etc. at some places and snacks etc. at some places and some other expenses if I add some extra ₹1000 and so on, in this way I am telling you this budget for 3-4 people, so this total becomes around ₹100, so if there are four people, then according to ₹100 you can assume ₹33000 3 your cost will be ₹3500 per person including your food, travel rental vehicle charge and petrol and everything, so putting all together I will tell you the charge will be around ₹13,000 I have been in this if you own your vehicle If you do not take rental, then this ₹5,000, if you deduct it, then hardly it will be ₹8,000 for three to four members, meaning you can easily complete a weekend getaway of this type from Bor or from any town near Sringeri at a per person cost of approximately ₹2 to ₹2000. So this was an itinerary from my side which I covered recently last few months back and we had our own vehicle, so approximately our total cost was around ₹8000 to ₹9,000. So I hope you must have got complete detail about this weekend trip from this particular video. So this is an offbeat destination, there are many places here where you will find very less crowd, so if you are also planning a trip to Bor or any town near Bor If you are in the city, then do execute this trip for at least two days as a weekend getaway from here. You will have a very unique experience and will enjoy a lot. At the end of the video, if you want to plan a trip to Chikkangal, then I will give you the complete playlist link of Chikkangal in the description as well and its link will be coming in the i button here as well and at the end of the screen, I am giving you that direct link right here. From here you can check all the videos of Chikmangal. On this note, let us end this particular video here and I will meet you soon with a new series. Until then, be happy, enjoy and keep travelling in the journey of your life. Jai Hind.
